I grew up in the 70s. Makes you wonder WTF happened and how we arrived at the BS of today. Glad I enjoyed life as a 70s teenager. I would have been 20 when this Midnight Special was broadcast.
Damn, its 2021 and I feel like almost hardly any artists give me what she's giving me. She's like a goddess with rhythm coursing through her. Had I been in that audience I would have been completely losing my shiiiittttttt!!!!
I totally agree. She's giving it all and making us eat it. I haven't seen anything like this in today's music. I totally feel you. I would be on that dance floor too. OMG. It's hard to find that kind of disco energy today. No one wants to dance anymore these days.
Amii is still around and still looks pretty darn good too. She is very much an under-rated performer. She did have the whole package, she could sing, she could dance, and she looked great doing it. The trouble is that she never had good production. Only this one time, the magic happened and a legendary song was created. Sadly this wasn't repeated and Amii fell off the charts. Very sad since she has an excellent voice. With better production and songs, she could have easliy topped the charts.

i am 72. I do remember when i heard the song for the very first time That time - i thought, this is it donna summer got a problem now- but sadly was just one song.
She took a song that was recorded by the great Eddie Floyd during the mid 60s and and just updated it to fit that late 70s Disco Era, saw some negative comments, I thought she did at great job with it to fit that time and she still looks great even now in her late 60s, this song went to No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 so somebody was listening.
A Queen being carried away to her palace. The latter part of the show is very interesting. Acrobatic style of leaving the stage makes everything fantastic. Great Ami, great performance.
