Synchro is one of those features that is actually incredibly useless and kind of stupid.
'You mean I get to take the auto out of autobattles, which is the only reason to do that?'
And yet, it's just so charming, you can't hate it.
i actually find it more practical to use synchro machine to do those auto battle quests. the pokemon AI is so stupid sometimes they won't kill anything or just it takes them years to get out of their ball. i find it faster to just hop on my meowscarada and then clear them out myself (plus i get to pick up items also, which is an added bonus because you do get those item pickup quests too).

I know others have said it before, but I feel like this gimmick could potentially be Gamefreak testing the waters with controlling pokemon in a main line game.

I don't think it's anything special but the way Appletun just skitters across land is incredibly adorable. It's not very fast but it's still one of my favourites

If you press B with a pokemon that can fly but also walk, like birds or dragons, you can switch between doing either of those.
Ogerpon also has different attacking animations depending on which form she's in.

Sandslash. Not only is it's running animation cool (it rolls up into a ball Sonic style) but it has a very satisfying attack animation.
Same for Alolan Sandslash, who is even blue.

Fun fact: Just like with the Raidon, if you push down on the analog stick all of the Pokémon will boost their speed/accelerate as well.
I brought in my Suicune to Violet and she like Waking Walk can also walk on water just like in her Lore. It's gorgeous seeing her run across the water.

In general, most rolling Pokemon like Donphan and Iron Treads, Golem, Graveler, and Sandslash (amongst others I'm sure) feel really fun to use with the Synchro Machine.
Golem especially, whenever I feel the need to roll around as a bumpy lizard boulder, I do so while playing music from the Rock of Ages games.
Though I'm also at peace knowing I can also roam the Terrarium as Muk, one of my all time favorites.
Very cultured opinion on muk.
I've used Meowscarada the most due to speed and running form. Pressing the left analong stick to speed up makes things better, too. It's too bad that Snivy's slow on foot. She was the fastest runner in PokéPark 2.
Inteleon runs like exactly like shaggy. It's uncanny

The fastest I found for land and water was vikavolt. He’s amazing at clearing out a whole field for auto battle BP

Okidogi is fast on it's own, but damn, when he runs, HE RUNS.
Garchomp is a fun Pokemon to use for this. He’s extremely fast (I think one of the fastest ones), making it fun to fly around with.
I also like using Eternatus, as it’s huge and also really fast.
Also, I tried out both Regieleki and Munchlax with the synchro machine, and Munchlax literally moves faster than Regieleki does 💀
Also add Dragapult to the old people list. Bro somehow is gliding even slower than my Slowbro walking 💀👍

Because Speed is a misleading Name for the stat, it's more akin to Initiative or reaction speed and not movement

I really like Iron Valiant. Running around with its blade arms forward and then quick switching into the double lance for the attack is so cool
I wish you could run with the lance as well though, it's kinda slow to defeat lots of Pokemon cos it has to do the animation before and after for every single one
Chien-Pao is also insanely fast, though it’s size makes it a little clunky
I’m having sm fun using this mechanic and they better keep it with future Pokémon games.
Pokemon is know for not keeping good mechanics across their games 😅
They are definitely not keeping it. I just hope that this next game is extremely good now that GameFreak is taking their time with it.
It’s a prototype so odds are we’ll probably see a fully developed version in future generations!
@austini.5262dude how is a rotom bike gonna be to climb a mountain? Also just because these stuff dont make a return in the next generation doesn't mean they were taken away, all it does mean is they are something special to that generation.
The existence of koraidon and moraidon is a direct result of their laziness.. in future pokemon games we better be able to use what ever pokemon we want (that make sense for the given situation) to ride, surf, fly, etc

If we assume that the Wild Area from SwSh was a sort of "beta testing" for Legends: Arceus, imagine what this is a beta testing for.
Mystery dungeons
Killowattrel feels REALLY fast to fly as, especially once you hit the sprint button. I also love running around as my ceruledge, I feel like I have the zoomies lmao xD

Latias and Latios are extremely fast as they should be. Helps that they can actually fight in auto battles.

Certain flying pokemon like Kilowattrel fly high enough that they can actually fly directly over some short pokemon on the ground without the auto-attack happening. I think it'll be useful for shiny hunting in an outbreak without having to worry about dodging the pokemon.
On the opposite end though, syncing as really short pokemon can make it so you aren't able to attack some large wild pokemon. I have some footage of me as a Tatsugiri desperately trying to beat up an Alolan Exeggutor and just doing circles around it, ha!

I enjoyed grazing across the Savannah Biome with my Farigiraf. It's was like a wildlife sim, but with Pokemon.
Honestly I don’t like Kingambit (cause Bisharp looks cooler) but I love synchronizing with it cause I love stupid running animations! I know it’s based on a chess piece but it looks like old dude in a motor cart. 😂

My Ceruledge, “Uriel”, is my favorite because he’s so FAST, he’s even smoother to zoom around with than Miraidon! My second favorite is my Tropius, “Sourpod”, who can glide over huge canyons, and I can press B to put him in his walking animations, switch back and forth.
Blastoise propellent water jets will never be topped tbh

Swampert swiming animation is just too god

Upsides of synchro machine: Knock out Tera pokemon that block off a spawn
Downsides: you can kill shinies
Be careful with this! You CAN kill Shinies if you're not careful.
araquanid is also VERY satisfying to watch in the water
i was expecting Greninja to just naruto run on water
My favorites out of the ones I tried are definitely Gholdengo and Chien-Pao.

Seeing the Blastoise animation was awesome, though I did take the time to use Palkia in both forms to search for Galarica Twigs AND I'd rather have Synchro targets either swim or float to prevent desyncing.

Meowscarda is the fastest starter pokemon which can be shown with this mechanic. I haven’t been able to find anything quite as fast as it. Ps, for anyone who doesn’t know if you press down the l stick you can run fast, if you press zr your able to have a big bouncy spheal ball, and if you press x you get a bonus animation.
Latias is as fast as Meowscarada and flies which means it won't be stuck over small obstacles like Meowscarada
In terms of Overworld running speed it's still slower than Inteleon.
Ceruledge I’ve found to be super fast, but the one I’ve enjoyed playing the most with this mode is Swampert, I just love ‘em. 😁
You know Prophunt? Y'know, where a bunch of dudes are turned into props and a person needs to go search for them? What if we used the Synchro Machines for that? We play as our Pokemon and we wander around around and hide from the 'seeker' (The person trying to find us).
I love Porygon Z synchro. It going all crazy with it's movement is funny. It's also pretty quick, hovers over water, etc.
You gotta try Ceruledge, I’m pretty sure they’re THE fastest when in comes to running speed

Using Sanshrew( Kantonian+Alolan) Chansey, and Sudowudo have been really fun 4 me, the shrews remind me of Sonic and Knuckles
Walking wake is speedy. Me and my friend started at the beach in the Costal Biome and somehow made a lap around the whole terrarium
I use gengar mostly for these reasons
1) floats. Absolutely amazing for when you need to do something on the water, because instead of being slow in the water or only being useful in the water, he can just float anywhere, they can basically travel anywhere
2) fast. Very speedy mon to use as well, maybe not the absolute fastest but certainly a fast one,
3) gengar is cool.
4) I have a shiny gengar
Pretty good for outbreaks and shiny hunts including outbreaks
All I'm saying is with swampert's previous pokedex entries after all these years he should be one of the fastest swimmers and should atleast get aqua jet

Even though keldeo and suicune look way more majestic, walking wake has my favourite on water animation, looks super powerful. It’s like it walks on space.

On the subject of swimming Pikachu: there was once an event for a Pikachu that knew Surf. I don't remember when exactly that was though.
Greninja and Inteleon should have an olympic race since their swimming styles are official styles sanctioned in sports tournaments.

My favorite is speed Deoxys (land running animation is pretty sick, and it’s no slouch in air travel as well) and Pokémon that can also fly like garchomp, metagross and Solgaleo.

Zapdos is really fun it’s fast flying and can run which is surprising as it never is on the ground in other games
