AVweb Flight Trials the Bristell NG5 LSA

Bristell Aircraft is marketing the NG% in the U.S. as a fast, cruiser-capable LSA with a sporty feel and killer avionics. AVweb recently trailed the airplane and prepared this report.

I am almost done my PPL in a '15 SR20, and I have to say I really like the Bristell. As another poster said, the Bristell seems like the perfect plane for someone that wants to fly for the pure enjoyment of it, vs screaming across the sky. And let's face the facts the Cirrus SR is far from perfect - quality and stall characteristics.

My primary interest in Light Sport aircraft is the 4 or 5 gallon per hour fuel burn. The newer planes are great. Being on the west coast, Sling would probably be the way for me to go, but if there was Bristell nearby I'd certainly check them out.

Love the Bristell aircraft x 10, but hate the HIGH revving Rotax engines and ridiculous oil check procedure!
