    hi, your painting does look peaceful and quiet. I had a go, but i still have a long way to go, my painting looked more like post cyclone !!!!! will try again with better paper and less water. Thanks for encouraging and inpiring tutorials. Have a great week, enjoying this beautiful winter weather.

    • @AnastasiaMily
      @AnastasiaMily  Před rokem +1

      Thank you for watching and for your kind words! I am glad you had a go, even if your painting looked a bit post-cyclone. First, you put your own personal spin on it, and you also spent time playing with your paints. The more we paint, the easier it becomes, like with everything in life ✨ I hope you have a beautiful week too, and this weather is magic indeed - I love our winters!

    Wed 21, 9:00am. Love this painting beautiful work as always. I also love that movie and have seen it many times over the years. The Cinematography is breath taking, and the sound track is outstanding. Thank you for this lovely work. Oh and by the way if you haven't read the book I highly recommended it. You will be astonished by how different it is from the movie, they could make a whole new movie from it. Happy reading.😊

    I love how the watercolors just flow and paint themselves! You never seem to hav any hard edges - do you just go over softly with a damp brush as you go? Thank you! Thank you for your time and talents and inspiration!! :0)

    • @AnastasiaMily
      @AnastasiaMily  Před rokem

      Thank you for watching and for your kind words 😊 Painting with watercolours is such a magical experience! I tend to use hard edges around the focal point areas only, you are right. Painting wet into wet helps with keeping the most of the edges soft, and I do soften a brushstroke with a damp brush if I lay it wet on dry.

    Could I ask you a question please? I absolutely love your art and would love to try. I tried today but the paper buckled and it was a 300 weight. The water seemed to sink into the paper quickly too. Do you know what I did wrong? I did have the paper taped to a board. Thank you. Jane

    • @AnastasiaMily
      @AnastasiaMily  Před měsícem

      Hi Jane, thank you for watching my videos! I don't think you did anything wrong - it is normal for the paper to buckle even when it is taped to the board. But sometimes the sizing (the substance that coats watercolour paper to make it bleed-proof) can be either too old or faulty which makes the water and the paint sink into the paper too fast. I had it happen with some paper that was over ten years old. What was the brand of the paper you used?
