Very excited. I'm really impressed with the Artemis program so far. My biggest complaint is the cost over run. Same with James Webb. Looking forward to the future of both these.
Cost overruns have been a consistent issue, but when compared to how much NASA gets out of the entire US budget (0.48%), and what that translates to in taxes ($80-100for average taxpayer), it’s not a huge concern
The average American doesn’t see this as a minuscule portion of the budget, they only think “Mah tax dollars” when they see NASAs budget.
@@PrimeRibb69 Unfortunately true
@@randomalt9617 the US spends too much on everything. We have been doing it for years. It's a problem. Contractors and agencies should be held accountable.
Hell yeah another SLS.
Hopefully they get all the engines on by summer
Of 2025
i love nasa i wanted to work there with you i love you so much❤❤❤
Wondering why it is not assembled vertically. Wouldn't gravity be helpful to normalize stress around the entire circumference of that joint?
This ain't SpaceX fool.Efficiency and money saving aint the main reason for this program!!.
Joke aside i'd like to know too, but probably because they you can't just use the high bay when assembling this part.
Its so it can be transported easier.
The full core stage is too tall to fit in most buildings and it doesn't fit in the tallest building at its Michoud assembly facility.
This is the second SLS core stage to be built, from the third one onward they will be performing this final mate as well as engine installs and final closeouts vertically in the VAB at KSC.
When will it launch?
late 2024, early 2025 if there are delays.
26 or 27 if something leaking
Late 2024
I think we need more nuts and bolts..
Edit: f737?k aliens

Spacex and Nasa should work together....
@@gauravanshkumar3949 They are.
@@Delta-V-Heavy yes if they work together it will be easy to approach at any point
Am I right??
@@gauravanshkumar3949 they are working together. NASA is SpaceX's biggest outside supporter.
🎪
They will cancel this program once the Starship has a few successes.
no, they wont
@@anonymoustestsubject5697 I mean if starship gets superior enough to the point where its able to outperform Orion then It might
@@ayinfrazier3682 the point of orion is to go back to the moon, starship is being used by nasa to land on the moon, starship is better suited as a cargo rocket than a crewed moon rocket
@@anonymoustestsubject5697 yeah but for deep space missions such as for mars its moons and beyond Starship is better equipped for that
@@ayinfrazier3682 mars is nowhere near, no point in replacing orion for atleast a decade
How many LGBQT2S++++ people are working on this? THAT Is the Important Question!
Why are you people so obsessed with other people's genitalia? That's an even MORE important question. 🤔

Its A Joke!
But given we are talking NASA it would not surprise me to find a quota.
