Bro, I’m sorry to say but majority of the players you mentioned are born and raised in other countries, so while they might be Nigerian by ethnicity, they will eventually represent the countries in which they were born in.
It’s better for us Nigerians to concentrate on homegrown players instead of foreign players that will never even consider Nigeria. 🙏🏾
Akinsanmiro, Eletu, Orban, Boniface, Daga, Ogbu… these are young players that will be the future of Nigeria. Players like Chukwuemeka, Eze, Olise, Udogie, Mendel-Idowu, Nwaneri will never play for us.
@@David91777 If we put our house in order and allow merit prevail these players will play for us......Or else you want a first eleven made up of Nigerian players in all European countries in 10 years time because at this rate Nigerian players will dominate Europe in 10 years time...... And don't expect the Europeans to leave out their indigenous players for African born players which means many of these lads Will become stranded in international football......We must use this situation to our advantage like Senegal and Algeria are doing now.......A Nigerian is a Nigerian no matter where they are born or raised and they should have equal opportunity to fight for their place in any endeavors they chose to within Nigeria.
@@akpewebiakolo7517 Yes, I understand. But you didn’t address any of the homegrown players I mentioned in my original comment. What are your thoughts on these players and do you think they are good enough or not to represent us at the level we aspiring to reach?
@@David91777 the home grown players should compete for their positions....... nobody should be given a quota or favoured because all we need is the best to represent the rest......If it turns out that the best are all foreign born then so be it......if it turns out that the best are all home grown then so be it.
@@akpewebiakolo7517 Fine, I appreciate this conversation. 🙏🏾
Nigeria got to fix up as a country. We could easily attract all the best nigerian talents if we fixed the stadium, facilities etc.
We have players like tomori, udogie, eze, oyedele, nwaneri who will never join because of the state of the nigerian ff
