Don't give up bro, there are some really wonderful Filipina gals. You just have to do your DD. Find a free Filipina pen pal site and take your time. You correspond with one for 6 months or more, and you get a very good picture of whether she is the real deal or not. I went through 4-5 before finding one that checked all the boxes. I did not do it intentionally, but in hindsight, I was looking for absolute consistency over those months. Ones that failed that, I cut them loose. What was funny though, was that I thought my to be wife had failed when she said that her mother had to be admitted to the hospital. I was darn, I really liked that gal and now she comes out with some story about her mother being on deaths door. I was very wrong about that, he mother had become very ill and suffered kidney failure. That was the only time I questioned anything she said because she always had been totally consistent in her statements. I never caught her misleading me in any way. Wonderful gal. Married her, helped her through nursing school here and we have two beautiful daughters. Best decision of my life. I was too old to start a family here, but with a Filipina wife half my age, no problem.

I have a childhood friend who has lived in Davao City with his Filipina wife and kids for the past 15 years. He's back in the states for medical treatment so I had a chance to talk to him. One of the many things he said about the culture is Filipina do not have a guilt trip about telling a lie like we do in the west. It's part of the culture and baked into the cake. So if I end up moving to the Phil's myself I will keep that in mind along with all the other things he told me.
It’s best to look for a wife in the Philippines in the provinces or country side.And if you are really looking for a Filipina to stick with you long term without investing so much of your own money into her look into southern region of the Philippines 🇵🇭.Mindanao and far south than that avoid the metro areas and areas that have fast rapid development and you will be fine.
It's not that all women are like that, if you're not ready to take a step, you will find yourself in the same place 10 years later. I go there in october to visit my date.What happens there, i will have to find out.

Only problem is100% of expats think he's the one who's getting the women that's the exception to the norm. Bottomline, 90% of them are wrong and will find out sooner or later.

I met a filipina long time ago on cupid and it was the first and only time anyone ever said this to me. She was coming on way too strong too soon and was asking for money after about 3-4 days. I refused and she said "You not pay me you no REAL man!" I thought it was quite funny and it always stayed with me as a reminder that women can be very charming when they want to be but the one's who aren't genuine eventually reveal themselves to you. Much sooner when they realize you're not going to give them money in exchange for an "online fantasy, girlfriend experience". And that's exactly what a lot of foreign men are doing right now and telling people they have a girlfriend.
I don't feel sorry for those men though, somewhere buried deeply into their sub-conscious I think they know. But they'd still rather have the fantasy and pay for it then to be completely alone without it. At the end of the day both parties are getting something out of it. He gets to "feel" like he has a girlfriend and she caters to his ego and gets paid for it. I am not saying it's okay but I understand why there's a market for it and you just have to know what you're signing up for or lean into the fantasy and be prepared to get hurt.

For some reason, we evolved to be delusional and believe that somewhere else, in the sky, under the sea, or on top of the mountain is a magical place of paradise. Seems passport is one such delusion. I tried it, 100% fake love in PH. The ones who say they succeeded are just beta-bux$ on steroids without wanting to realize it.

I had dreams before about finding a Filipina to marry and have a family with. Then I tried moving there in late 2022. Between the women lying about everything and getting hit by a condo rental scam, I lasted about 6 weeks before I came back to the states. Now I’m getting a brand new condo in Cebu, and I’ll just go live the Charlie Harper lifestyle.

I recently, (since 10 days) found a caring and lovely lady on cupid. Since then she never asked for money, didnt even asked how much i earn etc etc. We mail everyday, up to 1/2 times since she is still in class (becoming nurse) and have to help her parents in the weekend but we bond good so far. She sent me pictures of herself in almost every mail, she shared her family photos, her moms business and her fathers farm. I think its going pretty good and i will visit her in october, i have the whole month holidays, to get to know her better and her family. She even calls me her future husband wich i am totally not used to as a dutch guy lol. So that is so far the only thing that stands out. At some point you realize money dropping her 60 bucks a month is needed once you're committed so she can eat...if you're deep into the provinces, but the good ones don't ask or go for it right away. Sis up there is young. She's going over what we do with local boys in high school/college.. We grow out of that childishness quickly when faced with the real world.

If you are just looking for a chippy or arm candy then yes Filipinas past 25 are old, just look at the job market and hiring practices of PH, and you can agree on the fact that most Filipinas are thought of as past their prime if they are in their 30's. For a lot of foreign men (not saying all), you are just becoming interesting in your 30's. With life experiences that you can share and stories that can they relate to a relationship, instead of "Mahal can we go shopping.", or "I want ...".
