    The colors would be brighter if you polish it first.

    Will the heat gun alone get a majority of the color? I just bought a brand new one will it color up from just riding it?

    I have a 4 stroke fmf power bomb and I just had my mid pipe vapor blasted. Planned on doing it all but the dude I bought it from welded next to the power bomb and my cousij conviced me to sand blast it and it would be the same. I decided to let it go because I was going to cerakote the whole pipe. The weld looked bad so I wanted to cover it up. Well I just got the mid pipe back and it has that natural blueish color. Looks like the original and that’s the look I originally wanted and didn’t know would come. My question is, could I polish up the header slightly maybe and then heat it like you did here and get the same result? Curious if I can get a different finish because it already has the sand blasted finish. It was a super fine media but still.

      @motoblast3574  Před 3 lety +1

      Polish it up with vapor blast or just some scotch bite pads! the welded spot will not turn blue most likely because it was already heated above the blue temp.
