- An Easy Method To Bring Back The Shine Of Any 2 Stroke Expansion Chamber!
Renew 2 Stroke Pipes in 40 Minutes; EASY!!! Yamaha Banshee
Here is the method I use to quickly clean up rusty expansion chambers. With more time and effort, you can make your pipes look almost new depending on the condition they're in. I spent 40 minutes on each expansion chamber and they came out pretty nice. Tools needed for the job are as follows...
Bench Buffer - Purchased at Harbor Freight ($50)
Buffing Compound, Green and White (Available on eBay or Amazon under $10)
6" Buffing Wheel - Harbor Freight
6" Soft Wire Wheel - Hardware Store or eBay/Amazon

Great video Michael as always cant wait to see more of the banshee build
I might be dating myself, but when I was 5 or 6 my mom took my brother and I into Sears to pick out a present for my dad. We picked out that folding B&D workmate. I inharted it from my father after he passed. I love using it for things. Want to polish up a few dirt bike pipes and will do just what you did with it. Great use!
The way I usually do it is with an Angle Die Grinder with Rolocs Discs. They are small and you can get everywhere. You can also use wire wheels on the die grinder also. I've done a few sets of pipes and they come out looking brand new. Some of the hardest pipes I've had to clean up was Paul Turner Mid Range Pipes. They have some curves pretty close together in the head pipes which makes it hard to polish them on a bench buffer. Kevin at South Texas Banshee does the same. But there's no right and wrong way to do it, its just preference.
Great video 💪💪💪
Nice video, pipes looking new!👌
I dig it! theres nothing like the old school stuff! The chrome makes me so jealous lol, this makes me want to chrome my rocket pipes on my build instead of the raw steel look. Great video man!
Great video man

Workbench - Craftsman Work Mate. Those things were awesome.
Really hope you ended up getting the SLP pipes! They are probably going to be the pipes I go with when I build my 421 4 Mil Serval.
Brilliant video! But still hoping to win that fmf pipes ! 🙏🏼
Ive needed this for my yz lmao
Wow, its pretty. What about the build up inside?
Thumps up
For header pipes that turn color from heat is there a way to get them back to normal color ?
Is heat resistant 2k gloss good for protecting the shine?
What does the green compound do ?
Where can I find that wire wheel?
Can't seem to find it anywhere.
Gonna have to do this to my moms banshee soon.
Can this be done with a drill ??
I wish there was a link to buy the soft bristle wire wheel. Is it a brass wire wheel? the hub looks like wood?
where can i purchase the soft wire wheel you use?
Hey man I have some fattys I wanna do this method with , the only question I have and having trouble to figure out is what type of wire wheel do I need all the one I have seen seem pretty rough any information will be greatly appreciated thank you very much
I got one of the wire wheels to do my pipes from tractor supply co, didn’t look exactly like the one in this video but it was a soft / fine wire wheel and did a good job on mine.
could u show us how soft the wire wheel is again that was Amazing lol jk good vid dude
What materials are used?
Just got a banshee Monday night
Are they for sale?
Link to the brush?
Can I have the silencer
I got my yz250 and the pipe is so rusty and I got most of it off with a wire brush and vinegar it’s bad rust
