For those of you saying don’t listen to him because he’s not a doctor you’re so wrong. I’m SO into the skincare community and NONE of the doctors talk about how harmful most sunscreen filters are in fact they actually use them. And promote them. A lot of people don’t care about the harmful chemicals especially in chemical sunscreen that this “guy that doesn’t know what he’s talking about” stated is VERY MUCH in MOST sunscreens. Unlike the rest of you I appreciate his advice and will be looking into the sunscreens he suggested

I couldn't watch the video, but I'm doubtful he explains each component of the ingredients and describes what they do. Bobby, on this topic, I would suggest you do a collab vid with one of the well known dermatologists on CZcams. EWG is not necessarily well accepted for their ‘science’ as they often contradict themselves and recommend products that contain ingredients they previously have demonized. Skin cancer is a real problem and people need to learn HOW to use sunscreen effectively to prevent skin cancer. Most people don’t use nearly enough and often don’t apply as often as they need. Also, when it comes to ingredients, Fragrance or ingredients that are added purely for ‘scent’ any skincare product, including sunscreen is kind of like the ‘natural flavor’ you preach about in food in that it has no other purpose but to entice us to use it because we may ‘enjoy’ it more for aesthetic reasons, but it can cause terrible allergic reactions, especially when combined with sun exposure. Fragrance concoctions can do damage to the layers beneath the surface of your skin and you can become sensitized/react after repeated exposure.

I can hardly find mineral based sunscreen anywhere anymore! Even brands like Aveeno which used to be made with mineral based are no longer made and have switched to chemical. It's very disturbing!!!

It contains zinc oxide 19%, but I'm not really sure about the inactive ingredients.
Is it true that titanium dioxide is more harmful and its better to have only zinc oxide instead of combined with titanium dioxide?

Been using Badger for many years, I live in AZ it’s fabulous. Vanilla Bean is my favorite i also only get the fat tube of lip balm as the skinny ones have some kind of acid in them. It makes my lips break out, into a rash . I get it at Sprouts but I never knew that they made a sun screen. Must only be on their website site . It’s a fabulous company.

If you actually use google, you can find many articles about how oxybenzone, avobenzone, octinxate, and zinc oxide can be harmful, not just to your health but for the environment as well. However there is still research that needs to be done on these chemicals to make sure it truly is safe for human consumption. The fact that there hasn’t been as much is concerning. Although no doubt these chemicals are harmful to coral reef life.

@@BobbyParrish Sorry, Bobby but it’s much more complicated than the corporate interests the EWG represents would concede. As many others are pointing out the literature just doesn’t support what you’re saying in any meaningful capacity. If it did the various organizations in dermatology that make the guidelines would endorse a particular stance based on evidence. What we do know is that chemical and physical sunscreens do provide protection from skin cancer and there are no conclusive findings on endocrine disruption with meta analysis that can affirm a body of literature. You’re free to rebuff my statement with literature I’m more than happy to help comb through literature and point out the various issues in each study and what they can and can’t tell us.
