I got the same car as you charger r/t . mine a 2018 tho
I rented an rt charger 5.7l & I've driven it moderately & at best in town I'm getting 12 miles per gallon & the car is a 2022 with barely 7,000 miles on the car. I thought at 1rst that possibly I was getting on it a bit much but since I filled it up last I've driven it really easy & still its not getting any better gas mileage. For those of you claiming better mileage how are you driving it in the city not the highway? I'm not sure why this car is getting shit gas mileage being as new as it is. I mean if this is typical for a 5.7l hemi I don't think I'd be intrested in having one & when I say 12 that's generous because the Guage reading now driving it easy is showing 11.5 miles to the gallon
I also rented the Charger R/T three different times with in a year. All three were 2022 models. On the contrary, I got excellant gas mileage. I did road trips from Pembroke Pines, Florida to Reddington Beach, just north of Clearwater, FL. All three did 28 miles per gallon. Used a half a tank to get up there. I thought that was very good fuel consumption. This was at 80 mph. I used the same route, same road, etc. In town gas mileage was very good too. If you're a lead foot, then yes, gas mileage goes down fast.
@@georgepetrillo7316so I’m pretty sure these guys are using 87 unleaded , and not 89 mid grade gas like the owners manual states. I know this because when i bought my RT it had a full tank of gas and the dealership is going to use the cheapest gas possible right ? At full is showed 195 miles til empty … when i filled up with 89 mid grade it showed 363 miles til empty
If y’all going to use 87. Make sure you got to shell or Mobil and fill there only religiously. Their octane have a better pure rating. Then once a month throw in a fuel cleaner from auto one and you’ll be straight.

Does your RT have RPM bounce where the needle fluctuates? Some people say it’s normal but I don’t seem to have any performance issues.
