Never run your car with low amount of fuel in it. Gas keeps the fuel pump cool so running it low like that will cause the pump to heat up over time if you keep doing that and it picks up debris that may have accumulated in the tank. Eventually clogging the pump filter and the pump starts to fail not to mention if that debris gets in your injectors. I never let my R/T get past a half tank. Saves money in the long run not having to fill from an almost empty tank. Not everyone's cup of tea but it works for me.
I did a 2022 Dodge Charger R/T rental from Avis. Got excellant gas mileage. I did a roadtrip from Pembroke Pines, FL to Reddington Beach, Fl, which is north of Clearwater. 4 hour trip, only used half a tank of gas. Got 28 mpg on highway at 80mph. Around town mileage was excellant as well. As someone mentioned, it depends on how you drive your car. Overall, very impressed with the gas mileage. On the other hand a few weeks ago, I rented a 2022 Chrysler 300 with v-6 engine from Hertz. The Chrysler with the v-6 only got 2 more miles per gallon over the Hemi Charger R/T. This was on another roadtrip that was the same distance.
what about city drive? I heard it has cylinder deactivation which makes it only use 4 cylinders on city drive. is it good? and if you don't mind i have a couple questions. how many times did you drive a week, how often did you speed, how many times did you have to refill per week
City driving; gas mileage was very good. Was getting 17 mpg in city. You're correct about the cylinder deactivation. It has that and works very well. Another thing is when it goes into 4 cylinder mode there is a slight exhaust drone you can hear inside. It's not terrible. The rental time period was 5 days. I drove it every day. I got on it in city driving and on highway driving. Hitting it hard for passing and off the line acceleration was outstanding. I don't keep track of how many times I got on it. On long stretches of highway driving at 80-85 mph, the tach was at 1700-1800 rpm at 8th gear. On the 5th day, before heading back home I topped off the tank and when I got home, again I had half a tank. Great gas mileage for a v8 car and I own two other v8 cars. I didn't beat the car to death. It depends on the driver. If your constantly roasting the tries and always doing street light races from light to light it's suck a lot of gas and you'll probably be filling it every couple day. If you're on the fence on whether to get the v6 or Hemi; go with the Hemi. The v6 only gets another 2 mpg per gallon. That's absolutely no savings at all. Very negligible. Also, I got insurance quotes for v6 and Hemi cars. Hemi cars for me would be another $8 more a month. No savings there either. Pretty much pocket change difference. I recommend you rent a Charger R/T for a week to get a real world experience out of it. I bet you will be pleasantly surprised.
Your average was 10.4 times that by 18 that’s 180 , you’re range mileage is based on how you drive your car . You definitely drive your car hard lol I Averaged about 19 to 20mpg so I get about 350 - 400 miles per full tank taking it easy
I been putting in 91 and just did shells today but imma gone go to 89 see how it is but your right at full 200 about where I sit to I think lol higher but shouldn’t be much higher I think. But man love the gray but thank u for the vid an the premium 91 is what I used to get it at high range
I did a mid muffler delete, rgb headlights, front splitter, changed out my grille for a scat grille, tint, tail light decal and changed my side markers
@@NewportSelect sometimes I drive a lot and sometimes it's just to work or the store. But I fill up like 2 times a week sometimes and sometime 3. Depends on how much u drive
@@pricelessdaking5237 ahh ok thanks, if I drive like 35 miles a day just to work and home you think I’d fill up once a week? Mixture of highway and city
