- It. Is. Time. To take a look at some of the best moments from around the NHL and hockey world from this past week worth watching again. From hilarious warm up routines with T.J Oshie and his 1000th game, to angry goalies like Philipp Grubauer hitting Jason Zucker, to polite refs and NHL rookies making their debut's. We also got a crazy sequence from the Flyers Maple Leafs game where 3 out 4 Flyers players were left without their stick! We got Connor Brown scoring his first goal of the season receiving a standing ovation, fights breaking out at the Red Wings practice between Chiarot and Raymond just for both guys to end up in the penalty box together the next game and so much more. Finally ESPN changing that jingle. Has driven me crazy too many times.
It was so terrible. It's much improved now, but I still miss the days of the ice shots in complete silence. It was really nice to be able to watch or listen to something else during intermission without muting the game and missing the start of the next period.
Oh my god I realized they changed it and was happy for 45 seconds and now I hate the new one more. The current one sounds like elevator music, the last one was at least sporty sounding
@@NylanderHas5StarDragonBalls Musically they are both crap but at least the new one isn't abrasive. For the rest of the world who doesn't want an amateur producer to try and pump us up with a obnoxious set of horns and strings vsts every time it goes to commercial break it's an improvement.
@@paulybeefs8588 it’s a sports broadcast, the music is supposed to be abrasive and loud. Remember the NBC theme? That shit BLASTED every commercial break, the only difference is the NBC one was good. I’d rather have the song with heart than listen to the instrumental of a Justin Bieber song

No, I don't remember the NBC theme because NBC actually didn't blast a crappy 15 second loop of fake violins every break like ESPN literally does 75 times a broadcast.

If you want a non-NHL clip for the next one, in the CCHA semifinal game between Minnesota State and Michigan Tech, the game winning goal was scored with 9 seconds left and went off the pad, hit the glass, bounced back, went off a defender's hand, bounced off the goalie's helmet, and into the net. Was one of the most insane moments I have every experienced.
You are taking it to the next level. Definitely not too lengthy given the amount of content. Loved the Goalie Bus and the ending!

Great move by ESPN+ to change that break clip audio to just some chill music. Retaining subscriptions because of that for sure. Relatedly, Hulu is editing out the breaks in the stream before it's even finished, so if you pause and are more than a few minutes behind live, it just skips those breaks, which is a master stroke for customer satisfaction.

I don't know what or how they are making sticks nowadays, haven't bought one in a while and still have my aluminum which comes out on occasion, but back in the day of playing, I used to buy sticks by the dozen, and prefer a really stiff stick, Canadien 5030, later Koho's, back in the all wood day, and while I have broken more than one on the first slapshot, these modern sticks seem to break more easily.
And different.
More times it is the shaft, not the blade.
Espn listens to us when we tell them the break ad is driving us nuts but Steven A Smith is still on every damn show. 🤨
