After a viral video showing two women being paraded naked by a mob emerged recently, some other women have started speaking out about the assault they have been subjected to since violence in Manipur started.

A rape is a rape whether it's done to Kuki woman or Meitei Woman. A Meitei woman was also raped in Churachandpur the day before 4th May i.e on 3rd May, on the very same day violence had started from Churachandpur. Meitei people had done atleast some of the corrective measures like voicing to book the culprits and give punishments. There were many sit in protests in Imphal against the very crime. Some of the culprits have already been caught also. Let's pray and put our voice for the Meitei rape victim also

All the rape victims are Kuki. That's why not a single protest against the rape or harrassment of women from the Meitei side. What's even more worrying is that, it was those Meitei women, who gave a free hand to their mobs to attack Kuki women including raiding girls hostels and doing whatever they like with kuki women. However, such incidents don't happen in kuki majority churachandpur. The Kukis there formed a human chain to protect the Meiteis from their own angry mob after learning that their community women were raped in Imphal. It's safe to say that the Kukis are far more humane than the Meiteis. A total of about 249 churches were burnt down all of which belongs to the kuki community and around 17 temples of the Meiteis was destroyed.

High court or Supreme court doesn't have the power to give ST to any community.. As per Article 342 only President in discussion with Governor can give ST to a community. Also there are certain criterias a community to meet to get ST/SC. Already certain sub communities of Meiteis have SC status. And Meiteis they themselves did not prefer ST when initially SC/ST determined in the state. And the fact is Meiteis do not meet the ST criterias..
Meiteis and Kukis and even Nagas have conflicts since ages.. But such scale of violence, for such long and government being dumb are the issues. BJP wants the hills for their benami Adani company for mining. That's why they passed the Forest Conservation Amendment Bill.
