Humble and sincere. Out of many that have appeared on this, his passion combined with appreciation seems to show through greatly. I hoped it would work out for him at Liverpool - would have been a great statement to deliver there.

As a Liverpool supporter, I was disappointed with Joe Cole's time here. But he always seemed like a nice person and actually spoke very highly of the club and the people in Liverpool. I wish it would have worked out for him
I still struggle to deal with the relegation of 2003, my heart was broken when we lost Joe Cole and Di Canio. No glory hunter would ever feel that feeling, still hurts now!

Have to say I agree. I still think about that season now and I'm haunted by it. Ironically, that was probably Cole's best season for West Ham. He was starting to come good in his two years with us and then Chelsea got his best years. He should've been the star for England for years but never reached his full potential, despite having a great career. Too many injuries.
