At 1:31 Georgette say "Ben oui !" Prononced oddly "Ben ui !" :D it means "Well, yes" i love this actress

No she said "ben ui" wich is a peasant accent. Just like the way she says after at 1:55 "ben non, ben non, je vois pas hein". It's an acccent from the north of France :)

@@shibrina603 Isabelle Nanty does not come from the north of France but from Mussey in the Meuse in Lorraine. This is the village where my father comes from. Her father is French and her mother Norwegian.

I thought this was just her bsing and being hilarious, but she actually might have been right.
Isn't it weird that she is pushing two people together that aren't initially catching others eyes?
If one person admired another than that's sweet in a way.
But maybe she sees that they are both lonely... loneliness isn't a good base for romance...

For me, the plot of these two "lovers" aims to show that sometimes we love more the feeling of pleasing someone than to actually love someone. The woman even says at first that the man is stupid. Then as soon as she thinks to please him, her gaze on him changes. We fill our lack of self-esteem by the look of the other.

Tautou est magnifique, surtout dans ce rôle, avec ses yeux comme des grandes billes noires, sa lèvre supérieure légèrement relevée et sa coupe de cheveux qui laisse apparaître sa nuque elle est belle à croquer
