I bought a brand new set of Aeros for the last indoor season and of course have never used them outdoors !!! I must try and get an extension to the date stamp from the WBC . . . LOL

    Tested on green? Or table.

It varies, I have seen a table used and seen equipment set up on an indoor green. I would think the manufacturers have their own set up. Although I imagine it was all done on outdoor greens many years ago. As long as the result is constant I don't suppose it matters.

My bowls say 1957 on them, this means that they were made in 1948?

I would say you are correct. I understand some bowls at that date we're given a 15 stamp, but that would mean they were made in 1943 which is unlikely as I don't think any bowls we're made during the war, I may be wrong though. So I think you are right, 1948. And they still bowl okay? Unless they are damaged there is no reason why they shouldn't be.

@@LawnBowlsforFun They are in good shape, I got them about 10 years ago second hand from the person who got into bowls. I only played for one summer, but I have decided to get back into it once everything reopens.

Is it true that you can only use lawn bowls that are stamped 1985 or later?

That is true. Lignum vitae bowls (if you use them) must be stamped every 10 years
