OK a lot of people in the comment section do not have any idea about this issue. Asexual people fall in love, have romantic feelings for their partner, but they do not have sexual desire, like either they are not comfortable doing it or they do not feel pleasure of doing it. But that doesn't mean they do not have any sex, a lot of people do it for their partners or when they need a child, but the frequency is less. They are like LGBT, they are born with it and its not a disease. Also do not misunderstand it with celibacy, celibacy is a personal choice that people make, they still feel sexual desire..
I am boy, but in heart i always felt as girl, i always attracted towards a boy. I felt strange and sinful about how my body and mind works, But only now i could accept it. But really, i am not even able to imagine how an asexuals thought would work. Really, the GOD must be fine artist showing his stuff on us.

There are women like her in India who get forcefully married because....they're women, then have to oblige to have sex against their sexual orientation and choice because...they're married and marriage in India is a certificate to have sex, they face marital rapes and they can't speak about it because....how can a husband rape his wife right? My heart goes out to such women, not everyone gets to express it, so I encourage every girl out there who knows someone from her circle who can't speak for herself to encourage her to do so.

I don't understand this thing that on one hand ,our parents don't want us to have a boyfriend or girlfriend, (and having sex before marriage is just.........) And on 2nd hand,they choose some random stranger for us and expect us to literally have sex with that person as soon as possible and give them grandchild.

My sister confessed that she is asexual, she doesn’t feel sexual urges. Till now We haven’t said anything to our mom because I don’t know how will she feel, or how will she accept the situation.
No need to confess anything in my opinion. Tell her to study better and either get a valuable job or to start her own startup. Parents will forget about marriage once you can earn for yourself.

No need to involve parents . Let her focus on her career. Sexuality will get settled in time. I used to call myself asexual because of sexual trauma. I hadn't even realised it till recently. I wasn't interested in physical contact/sexual stuff. It is a matter of finding a person someone she can feel comfortable with. It doesn't matter if she chooses to be with a woman or a man. The key is that she feels safe with a trustworthy souls Support her through these few confusing years. Safe space is important.

Oh my Gosh! I can relate to her so much. All my friends keep saying that I haven't found the right one yet, but it's not true. I just don't have the urge to have sex. I've just realized that I don't need "my" other half because I feel myself complete. I'm not perfect, but I just feel so comfortable in my own company. I do love to be surrounded by friends and family members that I love, but I don't need to share my life with anyone else just like society expects from me.

Umm no. It's not that easy. You may be asexual and fall in love with someone who isn't. That person will never be completely happy with you because you won't be able to enjoy sex with them and your relationship will eventually end. Either you have to have sex unwillingly just to please your partner or let them find someone else.
But sexual desires are also a part of love....not talking about casual relationships but in a committed relationship, having sexual desires for your partner is so natural.If you are an asexual person its okay but your comment seems to imply that love without any sexual desires is the only pure kind of love. It's wrong, purity of love is based on genuine emotions & intentions towards each other not on desires.

Rarely do people pay attention to asexuals. Heterosexuality, homosexuality, the debates carry on all the while ignoring an entire spectrum of people for whom life goes a little different. Either they are told that their condition is "not real", or that being an asexual is impossible. Which is a pretty low blow towards anyone's identity. I just hope someday people won't dismiss asexuals anymore, won't walk over their feelings while pretending they are an anomaly in the system.

@Noob Veterinarian Demisexual means that you can only feel sexual attraction to people that you are close to and trust, which means there must be an emotional bond first. Like, if you see a hot stranger you feel attracted to them right? (unless you are demi too) But someone that is demi would not feel any attraction. And why this is a sexual orientation and not a matter of simply "falling in love with friends", is because they DONT feel attraction unless they have a bond with them. It is not a choice for them. This is to help people understand something that is a common misconception with asexuals. Asexual people (in most cases) are able to get aroused. This was the first question I had when I was questioning my asexuality, because I could get aroused, so does that mean I'm not asexual? And the answer is no, I can get aroused and still be asexual. The thing is, our bodies are wired a certain way to make the process of intercourse easier. So when we are in situations that could lead to sex, a man gets hard (as it would help in penetration) and a woman gets wet (which would again, make the process of penetration easier). Our body reacting this way is biological. Biologically, most asexuals don't have anything that doesn't work. It's just that they are not interested in having intercourse with another person. They can still do it, everything works, they just choose not to because it's their choice. There are also people with high libidos who are asexual and it is tough for them, but if you are a certain way, you just are.
It's quite ridiculous how people don't take asexuality seriously (not just in India). I'm not asexual, but I haven't been in a relationship so people have asked me if I'm asexual while laughing. I tell them it's a serious thing, not a joke🙁

I really really feel this. The feeling of getting whatever satisfaction people get from sex from a show of affection. To me the deepest form of intimacy comes from a forehead kiss or when someone holds my hand. What they don't tell you is growing up, being asexual is lonely. OK a lot of people in the comment section do not have any idea about this issue. Asexual people fall in love, have romantic feelings for their partner, but they do not have sexual desire, like either they are not comfortable doing it or they do not feel pleasure of doing it. But that doesn't mean they do not have any sex, a lot of people do it for their partners or when they need a child, but the frequency is less. They are like LGBT, they are born with it and its not a disease. Also do not misunderstand it with celibacy, celibacy is a personal choice that people make, they still feel sexual desire..

My sister confessed that she is asexual, she doesn’t feel sexual urges. Till now We haven’t said anything to our mom because I don’t know how will she feel, or how will she accept the situation.

Umm no. It's not that easy. You may be asexual and fall in love with someone who isn't. That person will never be completely happy with you because you won't be able to enjoy sex with them and your relationship will eventually end. Either you have to have sex unwillingly just to please your partner or let them find someone else.
But sexual desires are also a part of love....not talking about casual relationships but in a committed relationship, having sexual desires for your partner is so natural.If you are an asexual person its okay but your comment seems to imply that love without any sexual desires is the only pure kind of love. Rarely do people pay attention to asexuals. Heterosexuality, homosexuality, the debates carry on all the while ignoring an entire spectrum of people for whom life goes a little different. Either they are told that their condition is "not real", or that being an asexual is impossible. Which is a pretty low blow towards anyone's identity. I just hope someday people won't dismiss asexuals anymore, won't walk over their feelings while pretending they are an anomaly in the system.

Like, if you see a hot stranger you feel attracted to them right? (unless you are demi too) But someone that is demi would not feel any attraction. And why this is a sexual orientation and not a matter of simply "falling in love with friends", is because they DONT feel attraction unless they have a bond with them. It is not a choice for them. This is to help people understand something that is a common misconception with asexuals. Asexual people (in most cases) are able to get aroused. This was the first question I had when I was questioning my asexuality, because I could get aroused, so does that mean I'm not asexual? And the answer is no, I can get aroused and still be asexual. The thing is, our bodies are wired a certain way to make the process of intercourse easier. So when we are in situations that could lead to sex, a man gets hard (as it would help in penetration) and a woman gets wet (which would again, make the process of penetration easier). Our body reacting this way is biological. Biologically, most asexuals don't have anything that doesn't work. It's just that they are not interested in having intercourse with another person. They can still do it, everything works, they just choose not to because it's their choice. There are also people with high libidos who are asexual and it is tough for them, but if you are a certain way, you just are.

@@Sapientia-hs8xx asexual person's can not feel sexual pleasure..but it's doesn't mean celibacy..people who practise celibacy abstain from sex but not nesssecericly they are not sexually attracted to others...some choose cellibacy coz of religious or persnol purpose on the other hand asexuality is an orientation not a choice...
Me being a Biromantic asexual,always being INVALIDATED that this is "Just a phase",you'll meet the right guy, sex is all about trust in your partner like wtf!

Romanticism includes cuddling,hugs,kisses,holding hands & Non-sexual touch.

I really really feel this. The feeling of getting whatever satisfaction people get from sex from a show of affection. To me the deepest form of intimacy comes from a forehead kiss or when someone holds my hand. What they don't tell you is growing up, being asexual is lonely. Also to explain my sexuality I need to give a vocabulary lesson every one.
That's the bitter truth. being asexual is lonely for most people
this is perfectly normal girls consider their self as bi and all kind of weird terms but we knows girls like literally deep neck kiss for feeling arousal and foreplay for it because they generally have very low sex drive as per their biology but mordern day porn is just weird fantasy.boy get arousal from just 1or 2parts girls have different body parts as sensitive that desired them sex.

The very first time i fell in love
Things were said and rules were laid
Holding hand and flirting was alright
Anything beyond that would not be okay
So the problem was that
I went beyond and kissed
The very first time i was kissed
And i was kissed back
It was a discovery
It was the closest magic that I'd ever felt
So the best kisser i was going to be.
I learned new meanings of forever
I learned to work for again and better.
But then i couldn't catch-up in the rhythm or in the rhyme.
As a cosmic alarm went off
And everybody was ready for their first time
I must have missed the alarm
Because i am a late sleeper
Because i wasnt ready or eager.
But when they spoke of it i joined in with equal vigour.
I kept falling in love
sometimes better other times worst.
But "it" was never on my mind
And that seemed to be my curse.
I kept avoiding it ,eventually i did it
But it didn't seem meant to be.
Every time it happened i know it wasn't really being me.
So i told my friends and a problem with me was diagnosed
A lot was said, a lot was done
Books were read, new boys were met
But problem remains solved by none.
Finally I was relieved when they wrote chants of
no means no means no means no.
But when i said no and i meant no,
They said "you have got to a try little more".
"Come on, try a bit."
"How could you not ?"
"Why would you not ?"
"No, you do ."
"You don't know how."
"I will teach you "
" I will show you "
"Oh my god ! You never felt wow ?"
But i had felt wow.
I had felt wow in hugs and kisses.
I had felt wow every time fingers had run through my tresses.
But beyond a point when it went
I was left all alone.
So i learned to lie in words and in moans.
I learned to lie because i didn't want to hurt.
I didn't want to loose and i was in love.
Who was i to choose ?
Who was i to choose me who had none alike?
Who was i to choose me who had lost love's every strike?
And this was the time when everybody was talking about sex, learning and teaching consent.
And i had no one except my discontent.
And this is not bashing my lovers
They were great .
This is not bashing my lovers or my firends.
They were taking the care of me,
Keeping the bargain at their end.
This is not bashing sex either.
This is not to prove me greater.
I do not celebrate celibacy.
I am not a sex hater.
And sex haters, you think just the favourite child is the asexual kind?
Go out with the boys or with the girls.

You have to come out.

Who have to use word sex and not love to come out.

I have to paraphrase song to tell you I fell all of it,
The butterflies and the bees in my very stomach's pit.
And if I ask you, why do you need or want sex ?
You can't put it in words. I know.
And that is a ineffable reason,
Thats how i know ,that i dont want sex for sure.
And i am not incomplete or in any way less.
I am complete but confused.
Isn't that such a beautiful mess?
And i am broken, imperfect.
And that needs mending of a different kind.
Dont tell me who i am.

Ghosh!! I thought India Is unaware of the LGBTQA community but now I feel like I am not the only one(I am an asexual)!!
