Good job mate:-)
I have purchased 5 dremels over the years due to this failing part. Now I have 5 working dremels with no risk of part failure again! awesome!
THANKS A BUNCH. The shaft lock on my new Dremel failed during its second use! Have bought over half-doxen Dremels over the years...
1st time this has happened!

this is the good stuff when the gangsta music hits
Awesome fix for this pain in the ass issue. This Dremel is identical to the one l have except for the locking button being a slightly different design, however the solution is the same. Thank you for posting this video……it saved me buying a new one ✊
Not a problem 🤜
What do you think of the ides of drilling a hole through the whole shaft and inserting a nail to block the chuck?
nice
That should work. Thanks.
Did this with my parkside one age's ago but mines more forward on the shaft
Yeah .I think its usefull
other posibility was with a pop rivet, only cutting the mandril, and replacing with this the lock pin.
Yes another idea.thanks🖖
Ok this is different than what is expected. I was thinking he’d show how to replace the shaft lock assembly. Pleasant surprise with drilling a hole thru the shaft so a small Allen key (or nail or whatever) can be used to prevent the shaft from turning when loosening or tightening the chuck. Novel idea. Thanks. Future viewers may want to watch this with the sound off. (😅 sorry).
Definitely with the sound off! Great solution though!
well I managed to fix my button using this method, however I've somehow managed to break the spinning mechanism of my dremel! It's just too tight in there, not sure what I moved while I took it apart, but it is just not spinning freely any more. And if I try to turn it on the lowest setting I just hear the machine a little bit, but no movement, if I turn it one speed higher then it moves a little bit, but nowhere near as fast as it used to! It can't be my locking screws because that if I leave them looser then the plastic cover doesn't fully close. Does anyone have a clue what I' ve done?
so it does work properly when I unscrew the plastic cover screws a little bit, but it is making a noise that it wasn't before, like something is touching the plastic somewhere. Would oiling it help? Where would I oil? which areas?
Potevi usare un rivetto e metterlo all' interno, poi incollare il pulsante con attak!
I am a little upset, I am looking for a video that actually shows someone REPAIR the dremel machine lock, all the vids Ive found you all just replace the damn thing....brand new need it now, dont want to send back, the little bump thats in all the vids they you all say is bad so you just replace, mine is fine, I just cant get the button to stay pressed in...any help for that?
. .
Helli
That's not a dremel
not a dremel. this is a illegal china clone used to be sold as demel no 'r' also has china safety label not UL like true made in USA Dremel. other parts also not same. never had this issue with any Dremel product as they are built very well using great materials and engineering. and zero metric parts all SAE
The best video. Congratulations. Thanks
Thanks..
