I loved how they change directors and each director had a different feel. This was the most beautiful of all harry potter movie. I kind of wish wes craven could have direct one maybe the 5th one.

+Andres Acosta I agree that the Chamber of Secrets was the most detailed film adaptation of the series. And its production design was truly amazing. Half-Blood Prince? I half agree that it is the "worse" HP film. It's the most darkest and emotional of them all--but they did leave out important details that somewhat diminished the story from the book. Prisoner of Azkaban, for me, was the BEST one because it captured the essence and spirit of the books so perfectly. I wish Alfonso Cuaron, the director, had returned to direct the entire franchise like he was supposed to.

Hmm.... this Harry Potter movie is the most scary one, the most humoristic one, the most self-aware one, the most wicked and deviant one, and the one with the most memorable music of them all? Yes, I actually think it goes without saying this movie is the best of all 8 of them. :)

It was my favourite book but almost every important detail and story lines were left out of the movie.
And he got his new Broomstick for Xmas not after Sirius Black flees on the Hippogrief. This movie totally Sucked because everything they left out.
The best movie was The Order Of The Phoenix. No question about it.

The song itself in this movie foreshadows that Harry will in sometime soon, run across Sirius Black, who has escaped from Azkaban. To the students, Black is that "something wicked" that "this way comes"

@stefanyna I couldn't agree more. It's the most creepy and scary one, the most charming and humoristic one, the most original one - not to mention, the most self-aware one. It's the only Harry Potter movie that feels like it winks to it's audience. And that is what makes it so fucking awesome. Oh, and this really damn awesome "Double Trouble" melody through the entire movie of course helps to make the movie even more awesome. :3

Why was Harry surprised with anything that happened that year? He literally got a warning on the first day. And why was this the welcoming song? Why was there a welcoming song? How did they practice this over the summer? Did they have zoom meeting or somethings? I have so many questions.
Zoom didn't exist in the 90's, when the books and films took place.
Who came here after reading Macbeth? And was like that's why that scene in Act 4 scene 1 sounds so familiar I heard it in Harry Potter.

What FVCKING PURPOSE did this scene serve in the movie?!
Setting tone, mood, showing recreational activities the students perform, based upon historically wonderful plays by Shakespeare. Basically it's a nod to intelligence and wizardry. Plus it sounds really cool.

Oh my God, i did NOT think of it that way. And that is actually an excellent observation - that is one of JK Rowling's greatest strengths; she is a MASTER of Chekhov's Gun. But again, this scene wasn't in the book, so i don't know if this was requested/added by her, or just something that Steve Kloves wanted because he was bored.
cromusic ibra yep, the chekhov's gun has a great example, dumbledore being gay. It's pretty interesting (and honestly was a shock to me when I first heard about it) but it doesn't affect the events of the story at all
