Don’t know why the fans were surprised Danny ended up a jerk. It looks like he has always been one from the beginning,

There was never any real shock that Danny could be a jerk at times as it happened in the first episode with him and Mindy going toe to toe, putting each other down.
What was ridiculous was the way they felicitated Danny's exit from the show in completely destroying his character to have him as her endgame.
You don't go that far with a character and expect them to come back from that in the eyes of your viewers.

Such a toxic relationship. They basically forgave his blunders by getting them back together in the end. Expected better from the show. Latter seasons were a pain to watch but I stayed hopeful, that it would get better. It didn't.

I never liked Danny, he was romantic for all of 3 episodes maybe and then after that he was terrible to her. Very toxic relationship.

Mindy is a great writer, and this show had a lot of real and hilarious moments, why sabotage a character like Danny? he had a lot of flaws which made him real, but then they made the flaw too much for us to root for, such a shame, i loved their relationship
