Psychedelic is the answer to most severe anxiety and depression. The use of magic mushrooms completely helps one get over depression and makes you feel like yourself.
Mushrooms saved my life honestly. They helped me see the pure beauty in life, and made me realize how dumb it would be to take myself out.
They're indeed very effective in the treatment of mental health related issues.
I've been thinking to use psychedelics for my anxiety and depression.
Anyone know where I can source them?

Excellent interview that this 74 year old retired psychotherapist who's not into rap was thinking about skipping but found absolutely fascinating. Thank you both!

I love the fact that more of our people are telling our story in a better light.
It is not making our parents look as bad as other people did when they told their story.
It’s not making the thugs and dealers look bad either.
It’s telling the truth about how we really grew up.
Our life was not that bad and the people around us were respectable and caring.
We all were as one in our neighborhood.
We had our village life without the problems showed on tv.
We had block parties like we all were close family.
White people got the same thing. In the 50's and 60's my parents wouldn't think twice about loading all seven of us up in the ole station wagon and go jam. They were both musically inclined, so Saturday nights were for getting together with friends for food, drink, and music. Kids running around at night with the lightning bugs, playing hide and seek. My parents would be lit, and there were no car seats! Some of my best memories as a kid. Busta was bringing it back for me.
My neighbors were like that in our old house. Almost every weekend was swimming, bonfire, bbq..
It was a once in a lifetime thing. So many good times and years of true friendship
That fact that you can hear all his cultures through his voice ❤️ like you can hear the Jamaican & NY accent. It just melts together so beautifully
Slow and happy with fast and angry nah b that don’t mix well..I can’t hear any Jamaican in his voice he sounds 100% American
Guess you have to have an ear for the dialects , I hear it also
@@tztezza certain words he says, it’s the way he says it lol I love it 🤣❤️
@@jamiepatterson4386 cut it out I’m from the other side of the world so the dialects stand out drastically
@@jaylaplk please stop being so over dramatic a handful of words taken from his parents can hardly be calmed as a dialect…so all in all he has an American dialect with a few words slightly spoken like his parents..I’m not hating as the OG gets nothing but props from me but everyone needs to stop making out like things are extra when it’s not..he’s grown up in America his whole life sorry

So awesome how you NEVER interrupt your guests. And crazy to think how rare that is. As a result we can listen and watch as the depth of a human experience unfolds
yes yes yeeeeeesssss. quite refreshing to hear Busta get to expound on his thoughts. the way he recounts his story is reminiscent of his raps. Busta is one of my all time favorite rappers. He is one of a kind. Being yourself is the most valuable being you can be.
Def a great interviewer. Ask a question. Listen to the reply💯
Not like Piers eh?
Agreed . Beautifully put.
You are sooo right!!!
When Busta drop in the patous/patwa of his father's voice and rebuked on him, that Jamaica vibe and again how he describes how the early sting years inspires him greatly...big up Busta Rhymes..
This is my first visit. I deeply appreciate how you, the host, remain true to who you are as you interview. Others try to adapt the esteemed person’s style even speaking like them. However, you remained you. Nice.👍

I’ve been silently suffering from depression for a long time. There’s an indescribable pain I experience in my chest as if I have a perpetual broken heart. It’s hard when I hear depression being summed up just as a kind of extreme sadness because I’m a positive person, happy and thankful, but I just can’t escape that pain.
Recently I’ve tried to take steps to talk openly about my condition because it dawned on me that others are suffering silently, too, and we need to help each other…this interview brought me to tears. I’m so thankful for these honest discussions.
Thank you to the channel and to Busta Rhymes. May God bless you abundantly!!!
I'm so sorry for what are you going through Jessie.
Do you know if something happen in your life that bring you that heaviness?
God bless!

I'm dealing with this and a broken heart. My mom passed 3/10/22 and I almost lost a friend on 3/10/24. I feel lost and am a believer in Christ.
Please keep trusting God and hang in there; God is with you!!! HE loves you, and He's making it all right!! ❤
May God bless everyone , we've got this 🙏🏿 🙏🏿 🙏🏿 xxx
The way he constantly is stopping to think about what he’s going to say and the best way to say it is so refreshing. It’s something I really admire in my boyfriend too! It makes me concious of how much i word salad sometimes or say “Like” or “Um” to fill a silence instead of talking a pause to figure out what to say next. This interview was amazing. Listening to some of his childhood stories was so interesting. Thank you for opening up Busta!
Love how Busta explained the importance of respect and integrity amongst/ between the generations. This is definitely something that has gotten lost in our society 😢
Well, there is no reason to respect and listen to someone just because he did more time t han you, it means nothing. A intelligent person listents to WHAT is said, not by WHO.
It's a dying breed!
Well boomers destroyed that when they ate our future's the family unit doesn't exist anymore.
There are other factors: social media, wealth inequality. But most of it is exactly what boomers left behind for us to work with. From redlining to crack (cracklaws) and now fentanyl.
@@oakcode- This is true. However, experiencing life, however mundane (or not) gives a generalised wisdom about life itself. For example, if you are a child in the street and you diss a stranger, an elder might say, “stop that.” Because they know the NEXT stranger you do that to might walk over and beat your a** (at the best), knife you through the heart at the worst.
Because they have SEEN the consequences of people’s thoughts and actions. People don’t talk about other people’s business all the time, but they sure store the knowledge.
B’s parents (and community) are as it should be. It takes a community to grow good children. It’s an invisible support system.
Busta has always been an idol of mine. I really thank both of you for this interview.
B, I am so glad you found your way back to yourself. I hope and pray that the young listen to your wisdom - when you talk about your childhood, it is global wisdom. What you felt is what so many young people feel - probably MOST young people.
Your mom would send you to different countries to experience different cultures? Oh wow, what an EXCEPTIONAL woman. My admiration knows no bounds.
May your message, ethos, determination and SPIRIT of you spread through the young people of the world.
If you come someplace small in the UK to “play”….well, I will look for you. What would be really brilliant would be if you moved next door. I can totally imagine the philosophical discussions about life & the universe.
Be well.
Thank you both again. Most enjoyable interview I’ve seen in AGES.

❤❤❤ I've always loved Busta true artist, but he personally moved me by SENDING MY Under 21 year old college student little cousin HOME WITH HER FRIENDS when they try to hang out with Busta and his crew 23 years ago. At a hotel suite, he opened the door, asked their age, and sent them home...
This heart to heart interview
is Gem, Priceless.
Thank you
He did the same to me when I was a silly starstruck 18yr old
Same here. About 25 years ago a friend and I bumped into him back stage at a concert and we were barely 18 years old. He and his security sent us on our way. At the time I was a little dejected, however in hindsight, he kept us from becoming groupies. We had no idea what that world was about and could’ve easily ended up on a trajectory of being used and discarded. Sometimes rejection can save your life. Thank you 👑KING BUSTA👑
Oh my heart! I've been going down the funky rabbit holes of Diddy and his gang and other industry guys from that time when a 21 year old or 18 year oild girl --a 16 year old even better--would be given the red carpet treatment stright to the roofies and the drugged champagn and their lives would never be the same. So many hollow-eyed men and women who will never shake the tragedy of a major sex abuse pile-on with their idols. This shows me that Busta is not just a decent man, he is a protector. Sure those girls in the above letter were not under 18, but that is not the point. Nothing magic hap;pened after midnight on your 18th birthday that will help you survive physical harm, disrespect, and aBUSE. Busta is a hero--as we are being made aware of the unholy evil that has ruined so many people's lives, it seems that Busta needs to be heard. It ain't the biz, it aint the culture, it's the individual. Chill O Ski--he woulda masde it even with that name!

This was phenomenal. Busta Rhymes is forever a HipHop legend. Incredible insight into his life.
I love that he clarified that he did not come from the gutter line all other artists portray. I honestly didn’t know Busta was THIS cultured.
Busta was always a favorite of mine.In fact recently, I have revisited his music videos and he was always so creative in his music and videos.

Love love how he spoke about princples of respect and manners/ village raising a child, in the first part.

Always excuses for hood stuff. I never did any of it. The only hood thing I did was play basketball football and box.
This interview was next level. Busta Rhymes is a legend. "Not passing the torch, but sharing the flame" 🔥

That statement was straight iconic!! Couldnt have been better said!!!!
100% … he’s the GOAT!
Yes so good to learn there are rap artists who support and encourage new upcoming rap artists not the same narrative about old school being better or more authentic than the new ones! Great leadership Busta!
I grew up during the same era Busta did. He spoke truth about those times as it pertains to the village we grew up in . I have always had much respect for his artisty and the majestic ability of staying relevant and master of his craft. This interview shed much light into what makes the man behind the music the unstoppable force that he is. The level of admiration as a Man, Father and Brother that I have for this human being as risen to a whole other degree after this amazing interview. Not many, famous or not, can expose their vulnerability and at the same time be at their strongest. Yes my brother, you indeed walk this world in his image. We all have benifited from you identifying and mastering your purpose. Be proud of yourself and keep keeping on. Much blessing to you and yours always.
As a 51 year old true fan of Busta, LONS etc I so appreciate how he shared the Truth on the respect between the different generations of artists in the hip hop/rap business. When you naturally walk with self respect and Respect period, you don’t allow the silliness and planned divisiveness tactic of others matter. This interview was valuable ❤
Venida, so true , hon.
I agree, it was a totally different world back then. I am a little younger, 43, and I grew up on Long Island but I had the same experience. Our neighbors and family friends were always watching. I was a latch key kid, only child and my mom was a single mom since I was 4. Most people I went to school with had both parents and more money than we did. I would visit with my elderly neighbor a lot because I was alone and bored and she taught me a lot about life. If I was out riding my bike and it got dark out they would call my mom to make sure she was coming home to make dinner sometimes and if not they would sometimes make me a plate too because they knew we were struggling, Looking back, without the community we had helping us out idk if my mom would have made it without getting me taken away. She was always working, I don’t have a lot of fond memories with my mom growing up. as an adult and parent myself now, I realize that she wasn’t always at work when she said she was. I am thankful for the people that helped to shape me into who I am today and kept me out of trouble. These days we barely know our neighbors and I can feel the difference. My son is friendly with our 1 neighbor which I love but the rest don’t even speak with anyone. These things make a big difference in children’s lives having community.
Busta Rhymes is a horrible rapper, and very disrespectful...
I'm a 40 year old Zimbabwean and a lifelong Busta fan. I felt that this interview gave us the real Busta. And wow, what an amazing guy. Such a raw interview. Brilliant!

One of the best interviews ever. Busta you had me in tears. Love you and stay strong, you are an inspiration to so many.
I love how intentional he is about speaking as well as answering the questions being asked. He really gives thought to what he is about to say. He displays great communication skills.
You are absolutely spot on with your observations, I admire this, and do so likewise when speaking, especially answering questions. We must, because now a days, gotta be mindful of people feelings, for it seems most everyone is about their feelings.
Busta brought me to tears, he spoke from the heart he kept it real. From a broke MF to someone who can buy whatever he wants and being able to leave a legacy for the next generation. I truly love the interview it was a mad thing!
"From a broke m f" 💀
I enjoyed the entire interview but it was his bouncing back from his health issues that was the most relatable to me. My health is in a downward spiral that only I can do something about it. Thank you Busta for giving me the strength I need to start my health journey.

It's his gift
As a Busta fan since the 90s, this is by far, his best ever interview.
Busta manifested his success. Such a good storyteller! Flip mode forever!
Compelling interview with Busta Rhymes. Born from Jamaican parents and my dad was an electrician too. My dad (R.I.P) always pickup his kids on the weekend then take us to his side business to make extra money in addition to his job at the hospital. I remember as a kid getting on a ladder to pull cable wires through the ceiling and walls, using measuring tape, handing him tools, removing switch plates, etc. Busta Rhymes interview was so relatable like I'm sitting down in a conversation with my own family. I can listen to Busta Rhymes stories all day long.
His parents got hand-outs when they fled to America an he had to cosplay like he was an American N36R03 and he took on our CULTURE. LIAR
I love how he articulates his feelings; Busta has always been a force to reckon with, and his style and presence are addicting. I will love him always ❤

Busta embodies all that is Hip Hop at 50. His evolution is a true testament to what we are all capable of achieving as humans. I love so much about him; most of all, his humility and grace. I never knew that Hip Hop would look like this at 50. It makes me proud.
It embarrasses me. They misleading and demonic nature of rap music has done irreparable damage to us
Wish I could give this interview 10 thumbs up. Man this interview came from left field. This is how these rappers should be able to articulate themselves, Busta has the vocabulary to really express himself. Busta could be a story teller. Definitely one of the better interviews I've seen in a while.

Busta Rhymes opened his heart so deep in this interview, and I absolutely cried. I saw this rap God become a son, a husband, and a father, and I had never stopped to imagine him this way. I am a 60's child who came up loving rock music, but even I loved Busta Rhymes because he was good and absolutely entertaining. He was different and I really enjoyed watching him perform. Like he said, he was the whole deal.
This was very moving to watch and inspiring as well. Thank you so much for having him on. We'll done.
My sentiments exactly❤❤❤❤
Busta is so genuine. I love how he opened up about all of his struggles and how he continues to grow from them. He's an inspiration for sure. My favorite part was when he said you need to focus on something you'd do for free anyway instead of chasing something just to get paid.
Busta is awesome!! Thank you both - very inspirational🙏🏼
What a voice!! Pure legend!!
This is why I travel the country and teach single parents financial information and how to keep the kids safe. My goal is to educate as many single parents as possible to minimize the effects on the children. Sorry for your childhood trauma.
Loved how Busta big up his Jamaican roots: his father's no-nonsense attitude towards hard work and discipline; the patois; the cultural influence; names of musical veterans and sound systems. Respect, Busta!
Busta ALWAYS keeps it real 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Busta . Thank you for being real . Your journey is a search light on how to get going against all odds.
Wow, the first 3 minutes hearing Busta talking about his childhood, the time he grew up regards to respect and community is already gold. Truth spoken.
I thought there was something wrong with me. 10 years after my father's passing I still cry when I'm asked what happened to him. Like Busta same day I spoke to my dad and planned on seeing him was the same day I got a call he had passed..... One can never know how to heal from such. My dad was my confidant, teacher and father. I still don't know how to heal from his death.
And I appreciate you for saying that. I too couldn't stop grieving for an important person that after, her death changed the family I held so close and to my heart, so happy in my head n heart, soul. It literally took me 10 years to say her name and actually do the remembering without the hands up, saying "nooo..still don't and can't talk or remember her." 😊 good luck

What mistakes?
@@ShaneM420at first, I was going to list his faults. But your implication is spot on.
He acknowledged his guilt but added the caveat that he did what he needed to do at the time and all the better for it.
Without the "mistakes" of nearly killing himself, missing the kids' experiences, he wouldn't have had that life changing experience, etc.
Life's complex, I bet he could have stated some mistakes if asked, but that wasn't the focus. The mistakes seems to have lead to good things... So, are they mistakes?
Even not seeing his father much after his success, it taught him a valuable lesson that will make his own children better people.
Thanks for the question.

In a world that discourages men from being vulnerable and having open discussions about their personal lives, It is refreshing to see Busta Rhymes taking that torch and being open about his personal challenges in life. He has done a lot of self reflection and now sharing his widsdom. I like his music even more now.
💘🗽🏙Brooklyn Love 💚🖤💛🇯🇲& Peace of Mind🙏🏽 to Busta Rhymes!
I’m not a big hip hop fan and have never even heard of Busta Rhymes but the love this guy has for his craft is quite inspiring. This was a great episode 👍
I've only ever heard, what I call, 'surface' Busta Rhymes interviews, so I was massively surprised with this dialogue. It was excellent. It stopped me in my tracks a couple of times. Superb, in fact. It was refreshing to hear about the genesis of his dynamic stage performances and he's right, come to think of it, it was/is very Sting-like plus catching a rare glimpse of Trevor made this discussion even more special. Busta openly sharing his vulnerabilities, Caribbean paternal upbringing, passion, and wisdom definitely resonated. Appreciated his authenticity about his experience with losing not only Chris but also his father. The varying hues of grief need to be spoken about more, especially by men and I'm sure what has been shared will provide hope and guidance to many. I'm saving this interview. And if anyone is scrolling through the comments, yes - it's definitely worth a listen.

The wisdom that just poured out from Busta in this interview has given me so many insights into my own life. I can take his wisdom and apply to my life as a tattoo artist for the past 30 years. The sacrifices I’ve made to pursue my career and I carry some guilt with it from time it took away from my daughters. I have 3. I had them young so It’s like I grew up with them. I also lost my 23 year old daughter, I’m still in the heat of the battle of trying to recover from such a loss. This hit home and I greatly appreciate you for doing this. Thank you
Yasss Buster my 3 aunts would get in my @ss n when i got home my mom was waiting
Sorry for your lost,my condolences to you 🙏🏾
@@annettepearce713Thank you. Much appreciated
Sorry for your loss... . it was truly inspiring piece right here..
I'm right here w/ya. I was thrown for a loop when I lost my 24y/o son (1mo. from 25) in April of 2020 to a fentanyl/cocaine OD. Died alone in a hotel room. "Friends" left.
Then in July of 2021 his mother- in -law takes his son out of state to see relatives and he drowned. There are no words...
Long story short, his dad and I divorced in 2018 but moved back in together Jan of 2019. We'd gotten along better than we ever had. We saw each other through the deaths of two souls that should have been here, had fate not reared its ugly head!😭 May 2, 2023 marked 30 years together! 25 of it married. 5 living in sin. Then I woke up Nov 19th. and he too was gone. At 60. WTF????????
I hear ya. You take care. Those other girls need ya! But, I'm sure you know that... May the rest of your journey never know this sort of heartache ever again..♥️✌️
I’ve worked with Busta on 3 occasions, and he’s one of my favorites. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an interview like this with him. I LOVE IT. 💕💕💕
Normally i wouldn't sit through listening to an interview for this long. I get bored half way through. And i haven't watched many of your interviews. But as soon as i saw it was Busta Rhymes! I couldn't believe it. What a coo you managed to pull getting him in the seat!
He's just so intense to listen to and passionate about what he says. Every time he starts a sentence its like hes about to bust out into a verse. And to see him open up like that,it was really deep.
Fantastic 👊
1:33:03 - To see an artist like Busta Rhymes exhibit this vvveerryyy nuanced, yet veerrrry clear sort of vulnerability is rarity-personified. What a testament to Steven’s energy, spirit and overall humanness. This is a milestone. 💫✨⭐️❤️
Love this comment
I am 45 now.I recall hearing Busta Bust for the first time on The Scenario original and remix when I was around 13 or 14. To think this dude is even better now than he has ever been is the most bewildering thing to me. Most rappers lose their touch as they get older. Rakim, Big Daddy Kane et al. didn't get better in their latter years. Another thing about Busta is his display of intelligence and wisdom. Love hearing Busta talk because he always shows black people in a good light.
Shout out to the 77, 78 ers
@pnw1932 yeah dude we here.
I slso like listening to what Special Ed is speaking on these days.
Must be a Jamaican thing.

Getting a solid dialogue out of Busta Rhymes is an absolute feat.
Lovely to see a quality sit down. Never had the means to see this until now.
Good stuff.
This interview was eye opening. I am a fan of Busta Rhyme and now I am a fan of you for how you allowed the conversation to flow. It is always good for people to know the person behind an artiste and the struggles that they had/have to endure - it puts a down to earth side to them.
Man this was deep. Busta's music was a part of my childhood, I'm an 80's baby. I now find myself in one of the most competitive industries in the world, Wall Street. I absolutely love it. However, the statistics of success would make any normal person quit. You're looking at less than about a 5% chance of success. I have felt totally insane, stupid, discouraged, and like I'm totally wasting my time. But I have also seen success as well in my journey. The line that hit me so hard was, "It's delusional until it works." I know it can be done but damn that was powerful. Thank you so much for this interview.
The obstacle is the way
5%? Whooo haaa, got you all in check
💯
I truly appreciate Busta for giving us his testimony, & my Condolences for your Loss

I agree and feel the same.❤🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Watching this interview was truly an inspiration. I got to see him in concert. His mature nature in this present moment had me watch the interview with focus. Thank you both for sharing this moment.
What an open heart conversation. Highly appreciated. Thank you so much.
I cant lie the type of people steven interviews is exactly what we are looking for. From both sides from financial to artists and is exactly what we have been missing as a people. GET IN THERE STEVEN!!!!!! BIG UP BUSTA THE GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!
The hug was everything. As a therapist, hip hop head and mindfulness expert, that was amazing to see and healing to watch. Keep it up king
I thought the SAME thing....his hug was HEALING in itself‼️ more men need to give/receive hugs like this ...says I care ABOUT you. We gotta break chains of thinking touch is not a universal NEED.
and that smile from across the table....what a doll he is
Where was the hug? I missed it!🥺
I'm so glad you made this comment, because I would have missed that hug that happened in the last 5 seconds of the video. I had paused the video (thinking it was basically over) to make my own comment before another video started! Because of you I hit play and didn't miss one of the best parts!
Hello! First time listener and subscriber to this channel. I truly enjoyed this interview with one of the greatest rappers (period) - Mr. Busta Rhymes! Growing up in New York - his work and artistry knew no limits and was (and still is) in a class ALL BY HIMSELF! I humbly salute you Busta Rhymes. Thank you for sharing your stories and journey through grief and loss, and how dark it can really get; yet more importantly choose to seek help in order to move closer towards healing!
As a Certified Grief Coach and a fellow podcast host 'It's Not You... It's Grief' (on Spotify & CZcams), I am too familiar on how hard it can be for one to navigate through the journey of loss; At the same time, we need to be transparent when it comes to such milestones in our lives, in order to get back to living in the [present] moment. Thank you DOAC for this segment. It was truly inspiring. I pray more folks, (especially the fellas) will recognize and give themselves to permission to grieve that which has been lost to them, no matter when it took place.
Thank you again and Be Well!
Preach Busta! I’ve had the opportunity of meeting & party with Busta in the 2000’s. Busta, made sure I was taken care of in the VIP area with him. I can say, he’s a gentleman, respectful, compassionate, give nice hugs & just a real man.. One of my favorite artists! I love you🤗

It's important within the black community that we speak about struggles with our mental and emotional well being. To seek help and speak about our trials and tribulations. This valuable conversation from Busta is not just here for our edification, but also to speak to the strength that comes from heeling and growing. Big shout to Bus for sharing this journey with the culture and community
I'd be part of your village. He's true. Is it hard to speak cultural about emotions ? I guess ppl don't want to hear mostly except real friend
💙🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
That smile on Busta's face at the end touched my SPIRIT ✨️ THAT LOVE HUG... THANKS KINGS 🤴 🎁 💜
Man that was right on time for me! Context - we are both Yard Man from JA and Jamericans, also musicians for 30 years and around the same age now...Both struggle with parents as well as how it is when dealing with someone (My Father) who missed some of my important parts of my childhood. People all that beef you have with Parents and Family - yo squash that NOW before it's too late! Busta, you NAS, Biggie on the Mount Rushmore - No doubt!
He was so passionate about his life, his love, and his family, it is amazing. I listened to him and asked myself several questions about my own passions. Great interview, I'm a fan, for sure
I grew up in Brixton in late 90s early 2000s, and the moral code and balance he is talking about was there in this time. Its all gone to shit now, my little bro was killed by a 14 year old girl, he was just 24. I'm not looking a pity party, I just want to credit your work and how it helps. And let me add you are a absolute legend, my polyphonic ringtone was break your neck, for year. Thank you Steve thank you busta. And I know about that double beating aswell😂
So sorry for ur loss, unbelievable. My brain couldn't even rap around that. May Gid forgive his sins, and give him paradise
Sorry for your loss, the double beats are so real 😅
Dude you've been crushing it with guests. Your interview skills are impeccable and questions are so well thought out. This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts.
My first time watching this ch. Excellent ...excellent!!!!
I will be saving and sharing this interview. Busta is one of my favorite rappers of all times. I never saw him this opened. He dropped so many gems that could help so many people.
Thank you
This was a great interview. 💯💯💯Music is the soundtrack to our lives. My husband and I grow up on Busta. I appreciate both of you taking the time to put this together. ✊🏽I always loved Busta Rhymes and hearing his journey makes me appreciate and respect him that much more. ❤It’s so refreshing to hear him speak on the importance of purpose! This is some thing that unfortunately we are not taught in our community and we really need it.
God placed each and everyone of us on this earth for a reason, and it would be in our BEST interest to figure out what that is, and pursue it, as if our life depended on it, because it actually does! Much respect 🫡
~O of The J&O Show
Damn, i'm like 50 minutes in and I'm getting emotional at how passionate Busta is. Having grown up with his music it was always his energy that made him stand out from the crowd, so the insight into his dance hall roots (I also love dancehall music) was incredible. Even now when his tunes come on, we all just start bopping our heads and smiling. Time and time again we hear people say 'Do something you love, not for the money but because you love it. The money will come'. This is the best advice you can ever be given. I went self employed 9 years ago doing something and was interested in. I'm now in the best place I've ever been because of it. Go Busta!
It's actually the worst advice. The money doesn't always come. But I'm happy it worked out for Bust Rhymes but it doesn't for most of us. Do what pays the bills unless you can get around it.
Yean...no. I totally disagree with you. If you put your heart and soul in to something and work hard at it, then it nearly always works out better than the old 'just getting by'. Every siingle one of my friends and family who has given up well paid jobs to pursue something they loved has done well. So the whole 'It doesn't for most of us', comment is just not true in my experience. It's not always about the money either way. I would rather earn less and do something worthwhil.@@mella_butter

What a complex and amazing human being Busta Rhymes is! He is so different from most rappers because he’s more cultured and had his dad helping mold him into a real and true man. If you don’t know, when you have a dad who has a vision for you and your life and your vision for your future is DIFFERENT, it’s a HUMONGOUS clash and a decades long fight. As a son in that situation, it’s an absolute uphill battle to make your vision work with no support. Hats off to Busta Rhymes for MAKING HIS DREAM COME TRUE despite his dad being opposed to it! He’s so talented and energetic you can miss the intelligent man that lies behind the music if you’re not watching interviews like this. Salute 🫡 to Buss!
What exactly do you mean by he’s different from most rappers? Have you interviewed many rappers? Just curious.
@@misticangel318people like that tend to think most rappers are ignorant based off their own ignorance. When in reality, nearly all of the biggest rappers are extremely intelligent & articulate
Brilliant interview, Busta schooled me! A real inspirational interview I loved what he said about identifying what you love and mastering to the point where people can see how much you love it. THAT is realising what you were put on this earth to do! Big respect to you, my brother.
