Mr. Money Well Spent, Blakk Steel is a legend of Pittsburgh Hip-Hop. He was born and raised in the Hill District, narrowly avoiding a life of crime when his gangster friend handed him a technics 1200 turntable instead of a bag to hold. A highly respected originator of the hip hop sound of Pittsburgh on the air for decades combined at WPTS and WAMO he went on to found the internationally recognized ‘Underground Hip Hop Video Magazine’ which was nominated for billboard awards. As a founding member of Union, the most important DJ Crew in the city, he is now working to train the next generation of talent. Carving out a new lane he owns and manages a 24 hour online radio station playing urban contemporary which can be found by searching digital analog radio in your App Store and downloading today.

Incredible episode🔥🔥🔥🔥Although i can't give props to my OG Steel the first turntable i ever practiced on, that goes to my guy DJ Bill Bara, when i was in 7th-8th grade. Steel forsurely was the second person to ever let me practice on that vinyl tho and i told him "man it's a whole different ball game on that vinyl vs a controller"😂😂😂Much Love, this was a very dope interview to watch!💪🏽💪🏽
