Very nicely shows the possibilities. Are they using the 3d printed brackets and supports they showed in the actual production model or was it used more to do the R&D and use the new design for mass manufacturing?

In case you mean the bracket shown at 2:38: They used a 3D printed prototype to quickly optimize the design, so for R&D. The actual part for production is an aluminum piece. However, they also use 3D parts directly in products, like the example for the reinforcement part (3:23), where they only need smaller quantities and a mass product would not be profitable.
