The end of this episode when you can hear her sob as the idol contestants tried to comfort her was absolutely heartbreaking.
I know right? I cried with her - both out of pain and joy - pain because she left so soon - joy because everyone had consoled her and that’s the beauty of what friendship is like.
This was the final episode I ever watched of Idol, I was so furious that I threw in the towel, that was it for me.
It's 2019 and I am still in shocked by this result 8 years from now.

It's like she was saying "I'll stand by you American Idol voters, even when you eliminate me I'll still stand by you and never desert you.".... Ripped my heart out.

This was back when the show show have realized that only prepubescent girls voted, and they only voted for the cutest boys.
2020 still mad about this .if not win she at least Top 3

Pia is so naturaly sweet, so down to earth, i love her so so much, her voice soothes me, takes me on a journey. One that i never want to come back from, and that smile of hers, well it melts my heart. I look forward, watching this young beautiful woman, rise to the top. She truly is something special, in everyway. :)
James was my favorite and I was afraid Pia would beat him in the finale, but I still liked her a lot too and I actually cried when she was eliminated. This video makes me feel bittersweet and I wish I could have just been there and hugged Pia.
For the uninformed: Pia finished 9th however I assure you she is not the 9th place talent. Everything negative any Hater out there can bring up could have been worked on by all the artists associated with this show. The most important fact about Pia is already taken care of, that is her sounding like an Angel from heaven when she sings. She already has a possible deal with Interscope records.. It always seems like they pick people who have family members who have had previous music experience and help them along in thr industry...
@ChristinaLGrenell I hate it too! The only reason she got eliminated is because teenagers had a crush on Stefano. That is not a reason to vote for someone multiple times. I still cannot believe this. She was my favorite female on the show. This makes me cry
Its 2022 and in 20 seasons 13 males won and only 6 females won. They favor male singers
Even Stefano thought he would be eliminated. The expression on Stefano's face, you could tell he was flabbergasted
thats the only time Ryan let an idol that has been voted off finish a song.
I don't get why people say they will stop watching a show when a person they like leaves, when the show clearly relies on public votes. The hell is your problem? It's not the show's fault? It's YOUR fault for not votiing, if you did, I understand, but if you didn't, then therre she goes, don't complain.
tony nguyen relies on voters? 😂😂 this show is rigged honey we can vote so many times but American idol chooses who they want to win maybe in the earlier seasons American idol actually did use votes where the people who could actually sing won but later seasons American idol crowned male singers who play guitar the winners from season 7 to 11 proves it people say they won’t watch it cause American idol never crowns the actual winners 🤷🏻♀️

Pia, James, and Jacob had the most raw talent. So naturally, on a show called AMERICAN Idol they wouldn't win. Stop acting so surprised. I'm an American and I realize that our music industry is essentially shit when it comes to rewarding people with talent.
95dubstepfan Ugh sorry but no, those three weren't the best singers in the competition. I'll agree about Pia, she was one of the better ones, and deserved to at least make the top 4. But what about Haley and Casey? Both of them can sing circles around Jacob, who couldn't control his vocals very well. James was very good, but his performances all started to look and sound the same as the weeks went on. And Haley was not only the BEST singer on season 10, but she was one of the best singers in the history of AI.

@joejill51lala I wouldn't say they "wasted" the save, but I definitely think they used it too early.
If Casey didn't get saved, it for sure would have been her. Cant believe they wasted it.

I stopped watching American Idol after this episode. That elimination was a complete travesty. I haven’t seen it in years, and I am angry like that day.
