Nah, it was all staged. You have to make it through a series of auditions before making it to this level so she and her mom know they're there for entertainment.

That’s because they think they are good singers and are deluded about it. They never heard the truth before
That’s because before they sing in front of the judges, there’s other people judging them and telling them they’re good, just so they can go into the audition hopeful and confident to get laughed at by the judges and everyone else
