- Reaction to Lara Fabian singing Je suis malade (From Lara with love). Lara is an idol of Dimash.
As you will see I was emotionally affected and could not talk much during the reaction to the song, so I added two comments in while editing.
The original video you can watch here if you haven't seen it. Please watch it first if you have not yet seen it.

Perfect reaction, tears fall every time i hear this song.
You were perfect just the way you are. From France, thank you so much for your sincere and natural reactions. Thank you for Lara.
Not many performers can perform like Lara does. She reaches in the healts of so many people.
She was astonishing. You were absolutely delightful Thank you, Wolf.
Her sound, tone, and variation of her voice is without doubt flawless. I have not heard any vocalist surpass this level of sheer perfection. This particular song serves to exemplify her one in a billion vocal ability.
لا تخجل من البكاء يا عزيزي .. انت انسان 💐
Hello from France... If you don't know before, it's complicated. An angel on earth beating the tear glands, it's an emotional train running through your mind. There are great artists in this world... But for me, she's just the best by far... In many languages, she is able to transmit all the emotions directly into people's souls . She is a hard worker, respectful of others, gentle and passionate. She gives everything for her audience. Unfortunately it is discovered late by many people around the world. You are one of the lucky ones. 🙏👏👌
Ah! Don't worry. I've watched this at least a hundred times if not five. There is rarely a time when she won't bring tears to my eyes.
Lara Fabian, Legend
I FEEEEELLL YOU SOOO FREAKING MUCH!!! i was on my side like'' i feel you"😭😭
No worryes i've watched it at least 100 times and i cry everytime...i'm 43 years old male by the way...
Your reaction is how I feel every time I hear this. Lara was my dad's favorite singer and I lost him two years ago, so even more emotional now.
Lara communicates emotion through music unlike anyone.
You really need to do Lara and Johnny Requium Pour un Fou.
Oh,you made me cry too😪. I love you 🥰 and thank you for showing your emotions.
What a wonderful reaction...also pur and honest. Thank you so much for sharing your feelings with us.🙏🙏💞💞
Great reaction, thank you! Please do more reactions to this angel. She will catch you in her artistic trap) like she did to me.
You are more than welcome to join the club! Club who knows and understands the worth of this lady. Once you found her you never can let go. I can tell you, this is just a beginning for you.
She is just so mesmerizing super talented singer and human being that there simply is no one else in this world. You will discover this. I promise you that after this, you'll find yourself comparing all other singers to her. And that's not good for them. 😆 So have a great journey. You have a lot to experience...
Ever since I heard this the first time, I have roamed the Internet for others breaking down listening to this video just like I do. The despair is as deep as the performance is perfect. Thank you for your reaction!

Ohhhh yes...yes... yes my friend this is Lara Fabian pure emotion and a divine voice!! she es celestial!!
A really genuine reaction. Thanks for being so human. Greetings from Italy
Her caruso cover is incredible
You should’ve played it to the end. Watching her RECOVER is part of the experience.
you were not embarrasing don't worry, I was touched in the same way listening to this song.....French is a deep language, and these lyrics sung with this bodily and gestural affirmation is truly overwhelming. we all recognize each other in this song when love separates two beings, this absolute emptiness, this total dilapidation of the spirit. me too it tears me to tears....and until then we are normal I think!:)
If I could’ve liked this reaction multiple times I would 👏🏻👏🏻
She is telling her story, to you, personally, you get involved and can't escape.
Of the giants of the last 30 years, in America, Lara is perhaps the least well known. I will add, I believe she is the best artist\performer of the last 30 years. Incomparable.
Great reaction ❤
Love Lara ❤
Love form Denmark ❤
Glad you enjoyed

Welcome to the club of those who cried hearing this song by Lara Fabian. To have more tears, because you are beautiful to see crying, lol you must listen to JE T'AIME LIVE FROM PARIS. His ADAGIO LIVE is also something to listen to. Thank you from Montreal.
Welcome in the club! You’re in for a ride. Adagio would be a good choice…yes she wrote it. Cheers

Magic voice !
this song is a very emotional one and Lara can spread the emotions to all listeners. They sort of relate to her emotional performances.
You didn't look a bit silly. You looked deeply & wonderfully human.
This was my gateway drug to Fabian. Astonishing. Remains the single most stunning experience of a musical performance of my life. I've only grown to admire her masterful technique + otherworldly emotive skills more the more I've delved into her work.
Great reaction! Welcome down the Fabian rabbit hole. Looking forward to more. 🖖🏽
Wonderfully put, thank you for saying much better, what I wanted to say.

Performance Art. Try her Concert Lara w love ... je taime..another tear-jerker performance.
Boom...Boom!!! Here she is! Not from this world, speaking to your soul and your heart :)
Try her Caruso if you dare
Never say sorry for emotions. Your reaction is almost like mine when I heard/saw this song for the first time. Great honest reaction. Subscription is safe.
Great reaction of a wonderful performance. First time watching you. Thanks for the reaction. Check out her live version of Adagio.
Oh yes! The tears. Every single time. She is amazing isn't she? You can see how she inspired Dimash ♥️♥️ love your honest reaction.
Broken Vow (one of Lara’s own songs) is also amazing, I hope it’s on your list!

More information on Lara Fabian:
Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, ....
In my personal opinion, she is even the best.
There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees.
Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register.
So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence:
• she speaks 4 languages fluently (french, italian, english, spanish) and has sung in 12 languages in total
• she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks. She often co-composes the music with the composer.
• she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none
• she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens
A quick background on her and her career:
She is belgian, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia). She was raised in both countries so she speaks both french and italian as native languages.
She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today.
She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship
She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music).
In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary and the song you just reviewed is from this concert.
But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan.
She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar thru her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years.
She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace" used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera topped the charts for months.
Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban, …
With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there.
Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her.
She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep.
He covered many of her songs (that she performed originally ; she also wrote some of these).
Out of my mind I can list:
• Adagio,
• Mademoiselle Hyde,
• Know,
• Love of tired swans
She also wrote the lyrics of his song « Your Love ».
And she covered « Love is like a dream » before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva)
They also performed Ti Amo Cosi together with Aida Garafulina. This is a song that she performed originally with Dmitriy Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida.
Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy who came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him.
Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs:
• Floor Jansen (Adagio),
• Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime),
• Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie),
• Morissette Amon (Broken Vow),
• Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace),
• Cakra Khan (Broken Vow),
• Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow)
• Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso)
• Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie),
• Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade),
• Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow),
• Forestella (Je suis Malade),
• ....
Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
it was long :) but amazing to read, Dimash and her seem similar in that they are great at many things, not just singing, I wonder where they both get the time to become so good at so many things :)
I so appreciate the work you’ve put into this comment; I think I’ve seen you post it elsewhere, and you should post it EVERYWHERE people react to her. It’s invaluable.
@@maryscottoconnor9711 thanks. I do it every single reaction, except if I already posted it twice on the channel. I stop in this case assuming the subscribers have been educated.
Wonderful reaction 👍
With Lara it's guaranteed emotion and perfection in each of her songs.
The purity of her voice, her interpretation, the power of her lyrics, captivate us completely.
You are only at the beginning of your surprises, it's a rabbit hole, man.
huge fan of lara...and i seem to cry every time hear her sing...she is just so amazing
Great reaction!
Great reaction!
Listening to Lara is an experience! She is always able to connect you to her, to the story and the emotions it conveys!
I will provide details on this song, Lara’s background, career and the influence she has on Dimash and many others from the new generation.
You were not embarrassing : we, the Fan base of Lara, are always appreciating when someone discover the beauty of her voice and artistry. She always gives all her soul and is an emotional powerhouse, and it’s quite normal to be moved.
Please react next to Adagio that you mentionned. She wrote the lyrics of this one and her version from this same concert is simply incredible. It became a classic, Dimash, Floor and many others did cover it in great ways but the original is simply unmatchable.

Please don't feel silly or embarrassed at all. Most of us have that same reaction when first hearing Lara sing and, I've heard her sing this numerous times now along with, Adagio, Broken Vow, and Caruso, and Ms. Fabian still reaches down into my soul and pulls on my ye 'ole heartstrings each and every time.
Wonderful reaction and a thumbs up from me Wolf.
Feel blessed that you are filled with this emotions. It was beautiful to watch and I can definitely relate to your feelings when I first listening to this wonderful woman. It's boring with reactions when the person shows no sign of any kind of emotion. This is what I want to see so thank you for that. Take care ☺
You don't look silly at all with the emotion. Between the video itself and watching all the reactions of this video, I've watched it more times than I can count. She brings out these emotions from everyone that listens to it. Cried right along with you. Welcome to Lara's world. You will enjoy all her work with no exception. Great reaction by the way. Just subscribed to your channel for Lara.
Someone should have warned you to get the tissues out for this one! A powerful emotional and stunningly beautiful voice and performance. Lara is way up there with the best of the best. No-one does love and loss with the micro intentionality and sensitive nuance in every phrase, every note and every breath between like Lara. She always leaves you breathless. Her performances are Master Classes for professional singers (& us amateurs as well!}. Lara so thoroughly inhabits the storyline of each song that you feel it is about her and her life. In fact this was written by a male singer / songwriter friend of Lara's, who was struggling at the time in a hopeless love affair.
I don't know what is next on your list; but her Caruso is unmatched. It is pretty clear why Dimash cites her as a key influence during his music studies, and he was of course thrilled to perform with her eventually - as you have seen. 😊 👍
# BTW Most people either tear up or get goose bumps - or both! when listening to something so achingly beautiful. Hate to break it to you... but you're 'NORMAL'! 😉
Watching your reaction made me emotional. Like the first time I saw this video. 😥
Wow that completely broke you down emotionally…bless you, so real and genuine reaction. Much love to you from Ireland.
Look lara fabian "adagio" and "caruso" même concert 👍👍👋
From the same concert you sould listen to Broken Vow, Caruso and Adagio
Maybe some should have warned and informed you that it was indeed a very very emotional song with powerful french lyrics associated to a powerful interpretation and a profound rendition by Lara... ;) :)
“Je suis Malade” was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973.
This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …).
When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and compose the music in a couple of hours.
The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes.
Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, but a few months after, Dalida covered it and brought it to fame. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad.
But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s.
At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet. They became good friends.
Lara has made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power and Serge Lama adopted these in his later interpretations.
This 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal) is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries.
The most recent one I am aware of is from the Korean band Forestella.
wow thats a great story about how they became friends, thanks.
Chet Éric bravo pour votre "travail appliqué " d’explications et infos utiles sur Lara sur toutes les vidéos la concernant 😉😊
@@Bhlisse merci beaucoup, elle le mérite
@@ericsicard910 😉
It's amazing that artists can bring up this kind of emotion in their audience. I wept my self, more than once. This is powerfull stuff. Thank you for showing your emotion.
Here you go for a lot of lara's reaction
I need to hear "Adagio" and "Caruso." Then "Broken Vow" and "I Will Love Again". Hold the Dimash. : o ) If you get to then. Beautiful reaction, Wolf. : o ) Thank you.
I think three of those are on my channel, just search Lara on my channel page 👍
Gran reacción, Lara no deja a nadie indiferente, cada actuación es una clase magistral de interpretación y canto, no hay palabras para describir lo grande que ella es.
Yes. It's mind-blowing how amazing Lara performs. But you will see and hear for yourself as you continue listening to her performances. I know you will now. :)
This wasn’t a silly reaction nor should you be embarrassed. This is 100% appropriate and normal. In fact it was so “human” and sincere.. I subscribed right away and can’t wait to see your journey to discover Lara’s amazing work. One note about Lara... 99% of the time you should watch her live performances. Not that her videos aren’t wonderful (most of them are works of art in my opinion) but she really is something extra special when live!!
Sine you’ve mentioned Adagio... I suggest you do that reaction next! Might as well listen to the original song written! Definitely check out her performance of Adagio from this same concert “from Lara with love”..... goosebumps and chills.. again!
Great reaction and definitely looking forward to the next one which ever of Lara’s songs you pick :)
you nail it the song title
Fantastic reaction! We shared a drop from the corner!
you pronounce very well her name and the title of the song great job
wow thanks, I am surprised, sometimes I have trouble to pronounce names, and even some words in English.
Enhorabuena. Has descubierto a la más grande. No dejes de seguir escuchándola y disfrutándola. Gran reacción. Un saludo.

omgosh what a list, I'll add it to my word file :)
Don't feel lonely. This was the first Lara Fabian song I watched her sing, and I almost fell out of my chair. She sang "For Always" in the Spielberg film "AI," and I saw the movie. So before seeing this, I must have heard her sing, but this was the first of her performances I watched. It's stunning, unforgettable viewing. She has a very large catalogue of wonderfully well performed music, and I've never been disappointed by one of her live performance videos. Much enjoyment is coming your way
