Evertale is a band from Germany that I had the chance to discover in 2015 with "Of Dragons and Elves". They deliver a fast driven Power Metal with a couple more progressive songs which I fucking dig. "The Journey to Iskendria" is half way in between and it was released on the last album "The Great Brotherwar". A lot of medias says they sound like old Blind Guardian which is very cool. However, I can say they have their own sound and they have something fresh to offer. These guys are extremely talented.
This song is pretty fast and filled with epic melodies that will surely make you bang your head. Their best weapon is the majestic yet soaring vocals of Matthias Graf along with the great back vocals. Just go listen to that chorus, damn it makes me happy. Indeed, there's no relief in the double bass drum department and Matthias Holzapfel, previously in Necrophagist at their beginning, just blow us with a killer solo.
A new album is in the making, so the band is resuming his ascension to the elite of the Prog/Power Metal genre. Till the next release, you got 2 amazing albums to blast loudly.
