    Great four part series. Very nice job. And compliments to Harry again on his camera work while you build.

      Thanks again! Harry would rather be doing more stuff with the power tools than holding the GoPro, but one step at a time.

    I'm enjoying your series and hit sub on the second one.
    Tell ya what might be nice is a materials and suppliers list on a few projects though.
    Cheers for posting.

      Thanks for the comment. Ive procrastinated on that for a long time haven't I? I am torn between the convenience for others of making a list against it being seen as a 'sales pitch' with all those horrid affiliate links which I hate.

    Great video, thank you. We are currently fitting our tambour door to our shower cubicle in our Boxer, and are similarly nervous of cutting the door! Can you tell us what blade you used on the jigsaw to cut the door please?

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  Před 2 měsíci

      for the wood and very fine 'scroll' blade, for the white wall cladding actually and fairly large tooth rough cut wood saw blade.

    I love tambour doors for their look! I am always wondering how people deal with hairs (of all kind...) and soap residues in the bottom track.

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  Před 2 lety +1

      Very good questions, my concern was actually water pooling in the corner behind the bend so I am fitting a full wrap around shower curtain as well to stop that and also stop water going all over the toilet and sink. I think this is well worth doing as no matter how good we think we are at building and sealing everything, water WILL escape. thanks for the comment and for watching.

      Thanks for watching and for the question. the shower tambour and the smaller tambours all came from EvoDesign. I will be brutally honest and say the shower door is great but the smaller ones for the cupboards I think there are better ones on the market. the shower door comes with top and bottom rail and all of it will need to be cut to size to fit your project. easy done with a jigsaw though....

    Hi Just doing my shower build on my Boxer, just wondering if you have the dimensions for the Door cut out and the toilet access cutout?
    Your video's are really helping my build thank you.

      They were not really set to any particular measurement, i just went with what I could just about squeeze my fat belly through on the door front. the toilet will be governed by the loo you have chosen of course. hope that helps?

    Can you recall the total number of furniture and ceiling boards you purchased and were they all 8x4 sheets.
    Cheers

    As always, so are you having a shower curtain inside the shower to cover the door when showering or is the door waterproof on the inside, if that makes sense...

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  Před 2 lety +2

      The tambour door is waterproof but with so many components inside that need to be sealed like the toilet back and sides, the sink all around etc, for belt and braces on the water front a shower curtain inside seemed a plan. also stops the loo from getting wet which is not comfortable.

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  Před 2 lety +1

      will measure and get back to you, keep forgetting to be hones! the basin came from Magnum as did the storage cabinet and the toilet, Oh! and the tray. actually, almost everything has come from Magnum pretty much. They have basically cornered the market with 2 simple things: answering their phones and delivery within 2 days. Cant rate them highly enough compared to most others.

      @@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 yes indeed, I fully understand that one!! All I was concerned about with their board was that the surface wasn't durable enough as it isn't a true formica surface..how durable would you say it was? Does it mark easily do you think? So many questions lol..anyway thank you for you're reply and cheers for the great video series..😊👍🏼

    • @wiltshirecustomcamper7203
      @wiltshirecustomcamper7203  Před 2 lety

      @@nur5ey1 It does mark quite easily to be fair. I think the gloss finish options are probably better than the matt like the carbon grey I went for. but if handle with care it is OK. Oh! internal dimensions are 985 x 670. if you use the same items as I did be careful that the basin hangs off the back of the the toilet quite a way so don't measure the tray and toilet and think that's it! I only found this out after it had all arrived and my shower room is now a good 15ish cm longer than I was expecting which has totally buggered up the cabinet I was building behind it. My advice if funds and space allow is to have everything 'on site' before you start to ensure good measurements and the easy making of amendments if required.

I think I am going to back up the airbags with a leaf spring upgrade to the 2 leaf HD versions as well for belt and braces on the situation, and as I am not doubt going to be overweight or very very close will then look to up-plate it when done. all the best.
