- The 2021 Shelby GT500 is already an obnoxiously fast car. With 760HP from the factory and a surprising amount of downforce, it is a track monster ready to go from the showroom floor. However when you remove the supercharger and replace it with two fast spooling turbos - things get really interesting. With a completely mechanically stock car - this makes 1200HP to the wheels with it's hidden twin turbo kit underneath the car. With it's DCT transmission this thing rips anytime and anywhere. Huge thanks to Mustang Lifestyle for the opportunity to drive this incredible car. The GT500 has an incredible legacy, and I'm glad to say this Shelby with twin turbos does not disappoint.

I'm not a mustang person in general idk I grew up my brothers are Chevy muscle heads lol n I'm a import guy , but man I bet this thing seriously hurts feelings beaing able to hit 8500rpms on a v8 thats gnarly fam ... sick whip for sure bro mad respect 🤘🏼💪🏽🤙🏽

I'm not a Ford guy but I'll admit the newer Mustang's are badass, they look awesome and the 5.0 Coyote, 5.2 Voodoo and 5.2 Predator engines are killer units!
Fr I’m a LS fan but the Coyote platform was genius then the Voodoo , then the Predator. I do favor the gt350 over all 3.
Crazy how much mustangs have progressed over the years.
THe fact that the gt500 can maintain control with 1200hp is very impressive.

@@dmahrii Some idiot is going to come along and say "But it's a Ford". Personally, I think Ford is killing it lately, bought a maverick hybrid, excellent powertrain known to last 300-500k. The 2.0,2.3, 2.5, 2.7,3.0 , 5.0, 5.2, 3.5, 6.7, all of those are great engines. Yet you always deal with the person attacking a brand because they had a negative experience 20 years ago.

In my opinion, this generation of the GT 500 is THE BADDEST muscle car out…I love these cars man…the auto trans shifts lightning quick, 760 HP right out of the box…& it looks amazing, especially with the carbon fiber track package. sweet baby Jesus it’s just one HELL of a car…What’s crazy is the Widebody SE “Signature Edition” GT 500 looks EVEN BETTER…Which Idek if a lot of people know about it. Should definitely look it up.
Too bad they weigh 4,200lbs
@@stealthyote About 4k with the carbon fiber bits. Still not terrible with modern engineering and chassis design, engineers can make a 4,000 lb car feel like it weighs 3,500.
These are sports cars. A muscle car is like a g8 or charger.

Great gearing with a modern trans and a tune to keep everything in check makes most newer 1000+hp cars easily streetable. Keeps the power low when you don't need it and allows it to come alive as soon as you do.
Especially if you hide it behind a (obviously) re-tuned "sport mode"

I love Andrew's car. But wish you had gotten to drive mine again before I sold it. Imagine the same power, but instantly because it still had the blower. Made 1200 with a 75 shot of nitrous.
I found myself holding my breathe while you’re doing pulls. Says a lot about the car..and the videography! Haven’t watched a review in ages but it reminds me of why yours are the best!

I drove a stock 2020 gt500 and it was the hardest pulling car i have drove. I couldn't imagine 1200hp.
yeah stock is still 760 horsepower lol. So crazy when you think about it.

Twin turbos on this Generation of GT500s with the DCT is a match made in heaven !!.. Palm Beach Dyno (same shop that worked on this car) had a blue one putting down 1500whp but it crashed in Houston for TX2K23

I've never felt such an intense reaction like that before from a video. Now say if everything 100 percent was the same except metaphorical manual gearbox would it be possible to be in control as you had that? I wont lie i wasnt expecting it to hold so steady. More that I'm thinking the paddle shift is actually pretty gnarly screw the manual thought this car is perfect 11/10 I felt like I just road shotgun thank you for the adrenaline rush all the way over here in Illinois 👽😬🙌🏻🛸💯🐎

I love how fast the transmission/cluch is. If all transmissions were so good I'd agree that we don't need manual transmissions anymore.
the DCT perfectly suits this car but manual is a lot more fun in slower cars
BMW's ZF8's are really good autos. Manuals are fun, but paddle shifting a good auto/dct is just faster at the end of the day.
The 10 spd auto that Ford and GM use is pretty gnarly.
@@iNegroTv Went from a B8 S4 DSG and tried the ZF in the B9 S4 and ruined the car power delivery for me, the loss in torque is still noticeable even if the shifts are crisper. Still DCT>Manual>Auto for me
@@nickw4898 Obviously DCT's are better than autos. Only because sequential transmissions exist (super expensive) but Manual>DCT>Auto for me.

The best part about this upgrade as said here n this video is.. Its kind f easy for Ford DOHC 32v motors to make 700 -800 whp with 2 turbos and not much 2 be done on it other than some supporting mods.
Boosting is 1 huge advantage Ford dohc engines ve over OHVs of GM and Dodge

This is the BEST Mustang on the toobs IMO, it looks stellar and has a perfect setup in it…… it can drive normal or nasty you pick and to me thats a recipe for a perfect street/strip car! Besides Andrew has trailer queens for racing ….
