  • Just over a week ago another volcanic eruption happened in Iceland. Yes, you can walk there but your view will be limited. If you want to see it from a better angle, take a helicopter tour!

    Wow! Somehow seeing the lava bubblingand churning made me nervous even though I'm thousands of miles away. I'm glad you could safely film this natural dramatic event for us!

    We were just in Iceland this past June so just missed this eruption. If we were there now I would not hesitate to take this helicopter tour. A once in a lifetime opportunity! Thanks for the footage!

    Jewels, such wow amazing footage !!! You have to be Iceland’s best tour guide. I hope that the government in Iceland knows what a wonderful ambassador they have. 😊
    What is with the volcano erupting? Two summers in a row you’re saying. We usually hear about the ones in Hawaii and when I was a girl there was Mount St Helen’s but when I think of Iceland, volcanoes are the last thing on my mind. Looks like a gorgeous day for viewing.

      Aww, thank you so much!! This is the third summer that we have an active volcano eruption. It’s incredible!

    There was an eruption happening last year. I purchased helicopter flight to the volcano and 2 days before my flight the volcano stopped. I did it anyways because it was still cool. But looking forward to plan it again. Unfortunately can't now because I have another trip to the other side of the planet but hoping next time. Thanks for the updates.

    Also, in terms of aviation...volcanic ash is very dangerous for passenger jets; it can really mess up their engines.

    • @AllThingsIceland
      @AllThingsIceland  Před 11 měsíci +1

      My pleasure. Thankfully, we are not having issues with ash for this eruption.

    Wow Jewells!!!!!!! You really got much closer that i expected!!
    Seeing the top of the volcano with its splashing lava really put into perspective that our planet that we call home has a direct route to part of Earth's core, which is very dangerous indeed... how lucky we are to still be able to live in a place with such intense conditions, and how over hundreds of millions of years how all life that we know has found a way to survive.
    I apologize for missing the past few months of your content (catching up now!)! I hope you're doing well!!!

    wow all of northern Canada is in wildfire mode....we have stay indoors warning due to air quality, I'd bet you guys are getting fall out from us as well. I hope the "sailing millennial falcon " channel got in touch with you they should have arrived about a week or so ago.....they seem as cool as you are Jewels, I think you all would enjoy each others company. Love your videos cheers

      I haven’t heard of the wildfires in Canada impacting us and I hope they don’t because we’re getting enough pollution from the volcano 😅. Oh, it would be awesome to meet them!

    Thank you for this video. Stunning view of the volcano! Also, is the weather still dry now (August 4th) in Iceland? We are headed there and have been told to pack a lot of waterproof clothes, so I’m wondering -please let us know the latest, if you can!

  • @cantabilewoman

    Lucky!!
    I really want to see the eruption from a helicopter but it's so dang expensive. I checked that company and the volcano your visits kr59,900.
    There is no way I can walk in that terrain and for that long, my feet kill me after walking for 20 minutes, it sucks.
    I'm hoping that one of the eruptions will be added to flyover Iceland, this one especially, it's been magical, I've seen a lot of drone footage.

    • @AllThingsIceland
      @AllThingsIceland  Před 11 měsíci

      Yea, it’s def an investment. The nice thing is that you get about 40 minutes in the air and it’s incredibly difficult to get views like that anywhere else.

    Please don’t encourage people to take helicopters in Iceland. The sightseeing flight and helicopters cause a lot of noise pollution, both in towns and in the countryside. They have destroyed people’s quality of life and work! The tourist sightseeing flights and helicopters and the tourist industry in Iceland is driven by greed and is absolutely out of control! I hope you show this understanding and make prefer videos about quiet experience of Iceland and the importance of listening to the birds and nature in a respectful tranquility 🌱🕊💕
