This cube is similar weight to the Gan 356 i v2 but does not have the gyroscope similar to the iPlay. The Cubestation app can be updated from the app store or with scanning the QR code on the pamphlet. You can also use a virtual cube on the app which I did not show here.
I appreciate you showing us your struggle. Just downloaded the app and it was a bit less confusing thanks to this video.

the intuitveness of use and UX is horrible.
not to even get started on all the parts of the app that is broken. When their smart products are dependant on the app as the brain, basically terrible standalone products, and mostly gimmicky even when the app works.
I wish I had one of these, one day hopefully.

Just go to the App Store and download it. It's not an update of the old app but a new one in the store.

Please do a follow up, more on the App because the previous version made my phone very hot and drained the battery like crazy, plz more detail on the app once you've used it a bit will be great. Also how does the cube compare to the old ones?
I found the V2 had pretty good battery life, the first would be dead in a week, the V2 still worked 3 months later and had power when I wanted it. I think the first one must of been activating too much in standby. How easy is it to replace the battery? The rubiks gocube has much better battery though endless, but it's heavy. Very interested in these and the timer, I'd love to see more vids please :)

To the people who use the i carry: What do you think about the 'feel' of the cube? Forget the smart/bluetooth features for a second.
I've been using it for a week now and it feels kinda... weird. Like it's scratchy or sandy and hollow, even though I've lubed it already.
Also, how have you set it up? What springs and nuts? Because I don't think I like the default ones but I don't know which springs or nuts should I try first.
Since it is more stable I found a lot of light lube works. I used a good amount of Lunar

Hi! I was just curious, can the i Carry core be switched with the 11M Pro's? Because that would make it comp legal, and a much better purchase if you could get the 11M Pro core as a spare part
They are not able to be swapped. The pieces are very different.

For everyone’s information, is it still functional to date?
I have an I carry and it does some weird stuff. Firstly, I used it for a month and it was still on 100%. Then, it started going down to 85%, but when I use it, it goes back to a 100% then back down. Anyone knows why?

You can get the exact same times on each. One isn't better than the other.

I Carry over the v2 and Rubik's. The new MoYu one is another option if you want to closest feeling to a regular cube.

I got a moyu meilong (no magnets) and also it turns like my main but my main is nothing compare to this cube
my previous main was moyu meilong 3c also with no magnets
but my current main is zhilong m 3x3

Hey there Shawn! Great vid as always 👍 Considering that I already have a gocube and an i play, will I be getting this one?..... more than likely, why? I love my gadgets and secondly, I want companies to keep developing these sort of puzzles. The only way Gan will continue to develop and improve the app and technology is if we buy them. Been playing around with the new app since it was in beta and it has already shown some good improvements. Oh, and btw, the screen size slider is there for people that have hole punch cameras on their screen so you can move the buttons out of the way and still be usable, quite handy, saw that function first in the game Azur Lane.... 🙃
got a question: the battery lasts 280 hours as 280 hours after you get the cube it will not be able to connect anymore or every time you do a solve on it connected to the app it depletes the battery and after 280 hours of play time it will no longer be usable?
You just put in a new battery that costs about $2. They are just common batteries you can find at most stores.
How did you get your account set up? I have an older gan smart cube released before the new app, I can't get into the app with an account, I'm just using a guest account, how did you get the verify code?
Edit: I got it working.
I had to set up a new account and hit the send code a few times. It was not super straight forward.

Hi, I have pre-ordered a 356i Carry, but it will be shipped after June 15 (maybe!). The store have 356i v2 in stock. I am new to the hobby and can afford only one smart cube. Which one would you recommend. Is the carry worth the wait?
Wait for the carry. The battery makes it worth it.

It's been over 200 hours without a need to change it but I tried it once and it super easy. The open the port and replace the disc battery. What did you struggle with?

Yes. Contact your retailer or GanCibe to get it replaced
So I've got the gan I carry, and it's pretty cool, but every 10 to 15 solves I have to take out the battery and put it back in because it wont turn on. Any way to fix that?
I've never heard of that happening. Does it happen if you connect it to Cubeast.com instead of the Gan App?
@@SpeedCubeReview yeah it's an issue with the cube itself, I think one of the battery contact points might be messed up a bit or smthn, idk I have no other ideas of what it could be

Only if you want an upgraded cube. The app isn't nicer.

None. The cube is more stable than a typical Gan puzzle and more stable similar to what you might find in something like a MeiLong

Yes you can. All Bluetooth puzzles are fine with cube lube

Hey I got my Gmail 356i carry and within 2 days the battery died(the light turned red) and I replaced it but as soon as I did the light turned red and white and it still won’t connect. Plz help.😭
Contact the realtor. That should not be the case with the puzzle and it might just need replacing. Make sure the battery is also not inserted upside down.

The cube feels and performs great, it's a legit Gan cube :)
@@higgledypiggledycubledy8899 I always found the previous ones to feel like GAN's but a bit looser maybe and more catchy. The i2 was better than the first and after tweaking it and turning with more control, it got a bit better but it doesn't compare with a normal GAN but closest you'll find IMHO.
How does the 'i Carry' compare to the previous ones?

how do you get the cube out of the sleep mode ?
Once it is charged you can either shake the cube 5 times or do some moves. I often just do a couple PLLs
@@SpeedCubeReview i thought you dont have to charge the gan i carry. I had it set in the app that the cube automatically turns of after not being used for 5 minutes, but i dont know how to turn it back on from this "sleep"

eww you're using the new cube station, I stick to the original cubestation as the new one is a power virus, probably mining bit coin.

@@SpeedCubeReview I'll update it and see how it runs on a 356i V2, hopefully I can still run the old app still with the V2 or the new app is significantly improved. Cubebeast is my backup plan :P
It is a power drain but I don't think it's anything nefarious, most likely bad programming. The developer of cubeast should receive his ICarry in May, so we have to wait a bit for that.
@@higgledypiggledycubledy8899 yeah probably poor programming. However having done some Android programming it's extremely bad, everything about Android screams at you if you don't take into account how long it holds a thread or how much the thread processes.
It's not unheard of though for some Apps to do this and there's too many prizes, how are they paying for all the prizes. I did say it as more of a joke but it was so hot it was ridiculous so it did seem like a strong possibility too.
I did update the App last night I didn't have my cube with me to test but it didn't get instantly hot so maybe it's been fixed.
Edit: Just tried it with cube after just one solve it's a bit warmer than I'd like but in the range I could spare a bit of phone battery for it. Not as good as the orginal app though on battery performance, so much is going on in this app, I like some features but most are just distractions right now. U, U' to start the next scramble is a cool shortcut :P i2 has plenty of battery I don't think I'd touched it for several months, battery level was empty but still worked. Still I like the idea of a repacable battery if easy enough to do.
