Pls tell me what that red/purple rgb light profile you're using near the end of the video when you're showing off the case thanks!
I asked the makers to have a flipped version so you could have the machine on the left or right of the user.
the new 40 series gpus are all bigger than 3 slots, so is this case redundant for a new build with new gpus?
Your link to HYTE Y60 Case is broken, when clicked it points to Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow case on amazon. :/

Thank you so much for using our case in your new build! We appreciate it and love your finished build 🥰
I bought one 2 months ago in black. I absolutely love it. The only thing I see in the future as GPU's become more slot space hungry, this case will be ignored. I feel that you might have to make the next gen even more wider by being able to place a 140mm fan in the back it just might be wide enough for them thick GPU's.
That being said, the case begs for custom Water Cooling because of the 3 tempered glass panel display and how much room for the vertical GPU mount. None the less, you guys made a great case. Definitely keeping it for a long while, unless you come out with a better version.
This isnt the case for me. Wheres the fun in not trying to stuff 20 pounds of hardware inside a 10 pound box? Wheres the fun in not struggling to find a proper placement for my AIO Radiator? Wheres the fun in not getting irate over a lack of cable management options?
I swear..some companies just seem to go out of their way intentionally to ruin it for us all. SMH....(call me later wink wink)
Just discovered this case from this video. I'm in love.
If there was just a way to have the Glas Panel out of one piece... That's would be incredible! :D Anyway - amazing looking case!
I bought one thanks to this video, and I already had a lian li 011-DXL
Just finished my first build and I must say you and Linus were invaluable in providing easy to digest information for every step of the process from picking parts to final setup. You guys are certainly appreciated
The white version looks super clean and professional. Honestly I love the size of it and the thought gone into the case. It looks great and is very functional, and everything isn't cramped together, and there is more room in the case, thus more room to disparate heat. This would be the perfect case to teach someone how to build a computer. Personally I am going to replace all the fans with rgb fans. I wish it gave u an option to install fans on the top, so there were fans on the top, bottom and back, maximizing air flow.
Do you think it will be a dust nightmare?
@@jeffstrains4014 No I have a older NZXT case that looks a lot like the white black color scheme and it still looks amazing 6 years in

@@DeimosPC Why thank you !
One of the best looking builds you’ve done, impressed.
I kind of like the look, but on the white version I wish the whole interior was painted white, instead of just the trim.
Spray paint.
Agreed but, you could always paint it.
@@InnuendoXP provided u get the correct white to match the existing color
@@sevsnk3043 just paint the whole thing then, lol. Paint the GPU shroud & fan casings too.
@@sevsnk3043 the glass is a bit tinted, I don't think the difference would be too obvious behind it.
I've had this case for a few weeks now, love it. This case will run a bit hot unless you fill every slot you can with a fan. In which case my OC'd 4090 runs at 40ºC idle and 71ºC at 100%. While vertically mounted, an enormous GPU like that is just centimeters away from the glass. Point is, it will fit any GPU you put in there. This is my third build and I have never had a pleasant experience doing cable management until now. Plenty of hiding room and tons of cable tie brackets. The included fans are a bit on the loud side so you might want to consider replacing them, but totally not an issue if you have to hear coil whine from your GPU all day anyway :P
I love cases that have a window in the front, like this and the 011D from Lian Li. I wish they had just done a black fan in the back though. Weird corner to paint to buyer into instead of keeping it all red/black.
Also a quick suggestion, you should get a soft lighting box, or maybe try raising your ring light higher. The glare off the case was a bit distracting.
Got the white one a week ago, best decision ever! Honestly won't be upgrading for a new case anytime soon now.. So far thermals have been amazing. Haven't had an issues on that.. Highly recommend this case!
What GPU?
@@cgplays9 yep, the airflow is quite bad, and big cards suffer. I actually put my card horizontal

I got the Hyte Y60 White when they first came out. I love the case, but I would highly recommend changing the stock fans to something quieter.
Thanks for the casing review, I will get this one for my next new PC build. It's looks nice and unique!
Have to say this is great content. I've rebuilt several laptops over the last 15 years i.e. swapping faulty screens, motherboards, upgrading cpus (this was before they started soldering them to the motherboard), ram, screen cables, screens, hard drives etc. Only problem I've found is the palm rest removal to be more difficult on new laptops due to cheaper plastics causing them to crack if not careful. Weirdly though, I always thought building a pc would be extremely difficult in comparison. The fact that you build different gaming computers for beginner/advanced builders/gamers and showing the different budgets for builds whilst getting the best results is fantastic. Well done, Sir. Keep up the great content.
As someone that has fixed laptops and phones and built a few pcs building pcs are so easy its like adult legos
@@Loki-cd9nu that’s very true, although I’ve always found the larger the Lego pieces the easier it is to work on, I.e. cars and motorbikes. You have to admit, the smaller the Lego the bigger the headache…especially when it comes to tiny screws. May I ask what your latest PC build was?

Informative and thought out. Thank you, there are a billion PC, build videos with no talking are very little and some guy modding the PC, in ways that no one who doesn't have prior knowledge can understand. Kudos to you!
Love this build, mate. A West yorkshire lad here. I could only wish I could even consider a build like this at home budget as a joiner just cannot permit! Don't stop the builds going. It's inspirational to see the potential of what you can do. Your channel has helped me loads to build my first gaming PC (mid range ish). Just good to watch a UK tuber instead of the USA lot. Don't stop mate.
as an australian i can absolutely agree that seeing someone outside the us is refreshing
It'd be nice if they made an XL version so you can have a 360 rad as intake!
you have your AIO mounted upside-down. The tubes from the cooler need to be higher than the CPU block. Otherwise, you get a little air bubble in your pump, which destroys it much more quickly.
I went scrolling through the comments wondering the same thing.
that only happens if your pump is the highest point in the system. you can see that the "top" of the radiator is above the pump making that your highest point in the system. Having the inlet and outlet hoses at the "bottom" is okay here.
@@birger462 good to know. Thank you
@@birger462 Ah, I see how you mean. Though, I think that'd still pose some risk of trapping air bubbles if you were to tilt the case during maintenance. In that orientation, should it be laid flat, and then stood back up, the bubbles could rise to the pump and get stuck. There isn't a great outlet for them to escape to, should they get trapped in there.
@@thefoxyramirez you want the hoses on the bottom of a front mounted AIO so you don’t get air bubbles in it. That alone won’t harm your case just makes it a little noisier.
Great video and case! I will keep this case in mind for a future build.👍
Love the energy on these videos.. have been binging
Love the build and the case, but might I recommend changing the radiator orientation with the inlet/outlet at the top, rather than the bottom.
The radiator pump will likely last longer and run more quietly/efficiently in the bottom orientation shown.
I like this case and layout, but probably a bit bigger than what I want. Thats why I went with a Lian Li air mini. I wanted that side intake for my cpu aio so it wouldn't get the hot air from my gpu. This case does look good though with the setup you built. And if I had a larger desk I would definitely consider the Hyte case.
That's exactly what this case does as well. It's side intake for the AIO, and bottom intake for the GPU...
Yea, it's big. Smaller than an o11 dynamic, but much bigger than a compact ATX case.
One thing that I ran into with my build using the Z690-A Prime is apparently some mobo manufacturers have put settings in that make it really difficult to install Windows 11 by making it to where the mobo wouldn't recognize any NVMe SSDs. Quick trip to people that know more about those settings than me fixed it within a day but they said it was really annoying. Just a warning for anyone using the new Z690 boards.
That cable set though!!! In love.
I picked up the white version and paired it with a: EVGA 3080 12GB | R9 5900x| 32 gb trident royal 3600mhz | NZXT Kraken (white) 320mm | Asus 570x-Prime Pro (White) Motherboard. Very happy with how it came out probably the best looking case around today.

would be nice if they gave a bit more room between the GPU and the glass so air cooled is more of an option. Hope to see an update later on as it does look nice and I would buy one in a shot but would have to run it with the glass panel by the GPU off for the most part.
I got my Hyte case 3 weeks ago in red and love it. Such a wonderful case, paired with the new Lian li snl fans.
Love the build, going to be doing a Y60 white build for my new PC.
I built my first pc in this case, finished it about a week or 2 ago, I absolutely love it
What the name of the case ?
@@UAELOVEAEHYTE Y60
I love the Vertical GPU mounting. all cases should be like that considering how bulky the new GPU's are
I'm going to have to disagree. I personally dislike how vertical GPU mounting looks, it's quite ugly and ruins the look of the PC and the design of cards. I like the massive bulky cards (like we saw with the STRIX series cards, especially now the STRIX 4090 is bigger than a Fat PS2)
@@stonecoldslate And that card will get heat soaked being right up on the glass like that. Glass heats up and it has what, quarter of an inch gap from it? Lol terrible case unless you can mount it horizontally, that's a different story.
@TheRedRavenTRR ^^^ This. Every test comparison I've ever seen, including my own, your GPU drops a couple degrees Celsius by moving it from a vertical mount to a horizontal mount. You'd need a case big enough that there's a significant gap between the card and the side of the case in order to negate that. It just adds too much resistance to the air flow with it right by the side of the case.
@@BaneSIlvermoon Exactly, I actually had a vertical setup a few years back but switched and immediately saw better thermals. That cases mount also demanded the card sit right up on the glass, but yeah a vertical mount is fine as long as the case has good clearance.
@@BaneSIlvermoon how does a horizontal mounted GPU stay cooler when the fans are 2-3" above bottom plate of a PC? i would think the horzontal mounting creates stress with the sag from the weight
The most beautiful thing about this case is that on the glass corner section, lots of people put in sick LCD screens.
I got it in a pre built and its just nice, and anyone wondering how strong the panels are... I have a suction mount for my phone and can yeet the phone around without any play from the glass panel(s)
FPS benchmark is great and all; but for case reviews I think a lot of people would more appreciate a thermals test. Keep up the splendid work!
do you know what software he is using to benchmark?
Although I personally wouldn't opt for this this, I've seen some quite creative things done with this case, including a whole 12.6" LCD screen placed behind the corner glass piece as a system status display. Refer to reddit for that one.
Mind posting the link?
That is a pretty build. Good job. I love the clash of smells in a new build. 👍
My first pc child was in this case went for a full white look from one of your previous builds with the white version of this case love it♥️
I have the White one since release. The thermals are alright. Nothing detrimental but not the best.
what specs do you have?
maybe that's because by the looks of it, unless the case is open then the GPU fans are trying to pull air from almost right up against the clear cover, with the exhaust being pushed out below the rear fan. terrible airlfow
@@Alex-tu5vu RTX 3080, 32GB 3600hz(I believe) ram, Ryzen 9 5900x, 1TB PCIE 4.0 NVME SSD. 1000psu idr the MOBO haha
3080+ will struggle, its the fan noise more than anything, your GPU will struggle.
Most similar cases like Lian li mini run the GPU at 64, the Hyte Y60 is closer to 75-80 degrees. I think the main reason is, It's too close to the glass, and when you get a 4090 it will be even worse.
I fitted the card horizontally as a test and it works very well, 10 degrees lower, CPU a little higher, Hyte just need to make a bracket
I’ve become obsessed with itx builds after building my own, I don’t think I could ever go back to such a massive case like this again. It does look unique though.
I always preferred smaller cases, but a month ago I built 2 pc's with that case (one white and one black) and don't regret it, it looks amazing.
I like ITX but small case = small fans = lots of noise or potato components.
@@damientech88 I can see that if using stock components. I currently have an NR200P, it’s on the bigger side of itx, but it’s a custom water cooled build. Triple radiator with a Ryzen 9 5900x and a 3080. Far from a potato and with all noctua fans it’s nearly silent while gaming
I just actually upgraded an entire machine.. and this was the case i got!! I LOVE IT!!! great review on it Centric!
And OMG the DELAY! that happened to me too!!!
Looks good but they need a version with a 140mm fan in the front at least kinda half glass half mesh grill with a 140mm fan, i would consider one for sure .
Wow. This case would look crazy with some rigid tubed custom watercooling action!
you love ADHD freakshows?
Having all the openings doesnt mean it will have good airflow. The fans will draw cold air from everywhere so there won’t be a good airflow from one direction.
My case makes more sense I feel like, the GPU + MB gets fresh air from 3 fans on the front and bottom of the case, and the CPU pulls fresh air in the back, then I have 3 fans that vent up through the top (heat rises naturally). This GPU is not getting very good air flow in my opinion. It's got a mixed bag of hot air from the giant CPU cooler blowing hot air into the case, and the fresh air from the bottom. That back fan is way out numbered... 5 fans (2 for CPU + 3 on GPU) vs 1 tiny little ventilation fan in the back.
@TheJomamaboy you never want to intake from the top. You lose too much efficiency like that as the hot air in the case naturally gravitates towards the top of the case. Top fans should always be exhaust so the lower density of the hot air helps them do their job.
Agreed. Was my immediate thought as soon as he showed the case off. Too many openings, bad for numerous reasons.
It greatly reduces the static pressure of the air flow since air can go just about anywhere in the case.
It reduces the air flow you want to the critical components.
It makes it difficult to achieve positive pressure, and will suck in dust from all of those many openings. (Although if you have enough intakes, it may compensate for some of that by forcing far more air in than is being exhausted.)
The one positive it brings is that it's very unlikely to have any pockets of dead air. (Though the location of your fans becomes far more important then) So you'll have at least a little air flow everywhere. But that doesn't make up for all of the negatives. You don't WANT air going everywhere and coming in from everywhere in a case. Might as well just build with an open frame case instead.
If I were going to build with this case I'd aim for far more air being pulled in than exhausting out, with the goal of having the positive pressure keeping fresh air quickly flowing out every opening in the case.
🎉you did it! I watch this and enjoyed it all. Very PC Centric indeed. I am now a fan. Thanks
really cool build I just recently joined the IT field and love videos like this.
Shouldn’t the radiator tubes on the aio be above the pump? I.e. the radiator should be spun 180
yeah, I dont know why people keep putting the radiator upside down like this!
Lol, no. Even Jay2cent made a simplified video. The basic rule is just not to have the pump as the highest point! You can clearly see the rad is still higher than the pump.
Should’ve gone with a push-pull config in the rad, which would hugely benefit the CPU and even the GPU. Getting fresh air drectly from outside instead of just pulling through all of that resistance (rad) make no sense; would be better even if you only went with push, but push-pull is better, considering all the space between the fans and the GPU.
Push/pull usually makes little difference from what I have seen. Either way, you're only getting whatever air can flow between the fins.
@@farmeunit Push=pull doesn't differ too much from push, but it does a lot from pull. If you set some fans to push fresh air from outside into the rad, tha air stream will be much thicker and will have much higher velocity. With an only-pull config, it'll get the little air it can from the other side of the rad - tbh at that point, the majority of if will be just the hot air the fins. Reason why push-pull would make a big difference not only for the CPU, but also to the other components, since the push will get fresh air and the pull will blow said fresh-ish (it's still the air post-rad) to the other components. It made a bigdifference to my GPU, which is set as exhaust on a Kraken G12: lowered temps by about 5C under load (total of 40-42) adding some pull the the CPU rad, while with push only my GPU was 46C and the CPU did not see big improvements except for 1 or 2C. But for sure wouldn've been bad if I only had pull intake (O11D).
@@slizzle.280 Could be on the push. I have seen push/pull videos on several channels and they typically show a 1C change at most. I run push on my 3900X with X53 because I can't fit normal fans with GPU or I would try it out.
Gorgeous build! Kudos! :)
Better temps on gpu mounted the normal way. Fans seamed to a little bitt to close to the glass. Having the Lian li o11 Dynamic Evo, my self. This case does not look to bad :)
I see that case on GN a lot. It looks fantastic and I'm sure it's great. That being said... It's still $200, which is more than my zen 3600 CPU cost.

@@mr_potato_aym191 ain't broke fool. Just not interested in dropping two benjie's on a box.
@@mRibbons the riser cable is a lot of the extra expense.
Its a nice looking case but a confused case. The forced vertical mounting doesnt lend it self for thick power air cooled gpus. Its water cooled capability is that of a small tower that takes up less space.
Can it work? sure, i just dont care for its limitations.
It’s actually intended for water cooling, Hyte even stated that. He did a very suboptimal build and gamersnexus in their review flat out said to not put a 3 fan air cooled GPU on this case
@@SaturnTubes yeah i know hyte said that but like i said most small towers can fit as many rads and still fit thick air cooled cards just fine. It doesnt do water cooling any better than most cheap pc cases but does air cooled builds worse than most cheap cases.
Yeah this Case is just one people will buy to say they have one, it's really a logistical nightmare especially if you use Add in sound cards and capture cards. The vertical GPU is pure BS and is a niche aesthetic for mostly the clueless. I like it but that forced GPU design destroys any chance of using it.
Love this case
I will be getting the white version for my next built
it looks like the airflow is amazing literally
I think this case is fantastic, offers a lot of features but its price leaves a bit to be desired. I'd really love to see more performance oriented cases, similar to the HP Omen 45L case how they have a separate chamber above the case for a 120mm-360mm radiator so you can isolate the cpu loop and keep the gpu hot air in the case.
The 45L was ok, but it wasn't anything CRAZY in changing temps, actually, in another case, with the same internals, it ran cooler than it did in it's own case.
imagine when the glass breaks
My Temps dropped 20% its very well made and if you get good bottom fans it's like ram air on your gpu... I put my cpu cooler in the vertical position and filled the fan slots up top...it moves a lot of air.
@@brettscott3759 this might help drasically for someone with air cooled cpus but i use a custom luquid cooling loop, I have yet to find a case that provide total thermal isolation between the cpu and gpu, that would be my perfect case, idc about looks anymore even after going for looks with my current build, i want total performance.
@@ArrowStudios actually that's my plan with this case I'm going to do a closed loop 3 radiators and two pumps... so I can pull from a thick radiator as a reservoir with a valve solenoid that's temperature controlled... I'll let you know... my best buddy is a water hvac programmer and this is a long awaited challenge my dude. Every one is going to have their preference or opinion this case gives me the dynamics I'm going to need and that's going to be the room on the bottom for a radiator (280) and a (280) on the side and a nice thick (360) up top... it would be enough to cool a dirt bike... 😎 👌 😉
Honestly my biggest question at the moment with these pc builds, is where do you plug in all the fans that you have installed into the pc? Like are you using splitters to connect more than one fans and rgb connecters into the one header or some other way? Awesome build still and love the look and the space of the chassis. Amazing job!
He connects all of them to the fan controller ( mentionned at 12:30 ) and that fan controller connects to the motherboard which is from where he gets the power
Thank you for this build..im doing an entirely new build/upgrade from my previous 2016 6700k, 1080ti , 32gig ddr4 build. I am using everything you have listed but i went with a 4070 ti card. Everything else is identical..your thoughts? I've been out of the pc building game for several years and figured its due time to upgrade my system to keep up with all the games i play... currently playing wow classic, lost ark, and hogwarts legacy... all still run decent in 1440p but i can't wait to see how it all runs in 2 weeks once all my parts come in.
Great looking build, but with a rookie mistake bro to mount the AIO that way, the pump will trap air inside it instead of the radiator. Which will result in heat transfer issue and pump failure as the time goes. The AIO should be flipped up, the hoses should sit higher than the pump. Thank you!
not true, pump is lower than the top of the radiator.... and he installed the pump after the radiator, he's fine
@@jaymata1218 Air can't be trapped with the rad at that position cause no gap at the back it has tight channels which will push the air back on the hoses and then get it trapped in the pump. It doesn't matter what you install first as long as the hoses aren't at the bottom.
@@GlitchBomb So pump is lower than the radiator, hose runs down. Air rises, won't get stuck in the hose.
That is not a case, that’s an aquarium. 🤣😂🤣😂 You need tropical fish in it. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 great video. Every time I watch a gaming PC build I get even more confused as to what I want in my build. 😖🤯😵💫🤕
Did you install the radiator like that to help hide the cords? Would that leave the potential for air to get into the cords on the plate side of the cooling system since it is the higher point?

Everyone's saying how much they love the look of the case, and each to their own, but I find it quite revolting, maybe it's just the red version that has put me off.
The red is definitely polarizing, it does kind of have a fish bowl feel but idk it just works for me!

Agreed, for an aquarium on the kitchen bench it works well lol
Love the build! But on the new AM5 builds, can you show the connections of cables and what ports on the motherboards they go into. I’m about to do my first build with the new 7950x and so nervous about the cables
Just a heads up you probably should have mounted the radio with the tube's at the top to make sure your AIO performs best and doesn't run partially dry.
Otherwise nice job
I got this case when it first came out.. no complaints!
I want this case, I'm a little nervous with all of the cables but I think I can do it, thank you for the video
Hey man! Great videos! Did you ever build a PC in the Thermaltake View 51 case? I recently got one of them, and I was wondering what should be the best fan configuration. I have a 5900x, an RTX 3080 and a 360 radiator. Thank you!
The direction of case cooling is partial to the case ventilation design, but mainly dictated by how the user installs fan flow.
Gonna use this case in my build later this year
I love that case!! Would love the red in a midnight blue though :)
first video i've watched from you and i already enjoy your content! New sub here!
This is a beautiful case. When i first saw this case i fall in love immediately
I have the case, and i love everything about it except the power button... such a nice case, able to show off so much... but they only gave it a solid white led power button xD.. seems pretty weak considering the thought in the rest of the case.
Looks brilliant mate, that gpu is amazing squeezed it into my nr200p, never looked back :p
The vettel gif ties it all together, sick build!
i got the y40 and im gonna say i love it def a upgrade from the nzxt h510 fits my 4070 perfectly with space to spare
Just got this pc cant wait for the delivery
Can’t wait to do my next gen build in this case…. I REALLY want them to bring out a pink version of this case though!!! 💗💗💗
Hey PC Centric! I'm new completely new to PC building but I plan on building my first rig in the upcoming months. I've been watching a lot of your videos to get a better idea of what I need to do and look out for in this confusing process of mines. However, this build in this video seems to be exactly what I need. I think I'm going to be building this exact PC. Every single part exactly. I just have one question, in one of your more recent videos you mentioned that one of the last PC's you built made a lot of noise. Is this the build that made a lot of noise? If it is what can I add to this build to keep that from happening?
Thanks for all of your help!!
just use a bigger cooler and put it at the top so it dosen't burn out and over heat. Maybe get a nvidia gpu as they have much better ray tracing if thats what your into.
i do have this case with a 2x120mm AIO in the same position blowing air out with 3x120mm fans going out the top and swapped the bottom fans for 2 BioniX F140 fans. runs pretty quiet! dont often hear the fans at all! though this case has been mentioned to be more optimized for water cooling/custom loops, it seems to work fairly well with an AIO too. my future build for this pc would either include a full custom loop or a 3x120mm AIO on top for the cpu and a gpu with a built in 2x120mm AIO for the side, but again the airflow for this case seems to give quite a bit of flexibility
great vid tho! glad you didnt break the tempered glass all over your desk 😱
Nice case. I want one. Setting your CPU radiator at the intake, though, does that blow the hot air into the case?
it literally is just the lian li o11d mini with a curved side
At corsair sites says you can not use the 24pin type 4 slived cable with the HXi models, but here it works 😅
Really like this case, but for my next build thinking about getting a rtx 4090 and with the extra width on it, depends how the new 4000 series cards will fit in this case considering they taking nearly 4 slots
You got money money huh
I had no idea James Acaster builds PCs. Love your channel and you have a new sub sir!
I like how you communicate your ideas and explain things, yet I must mention that the orientation on the radiator is not optimal for the waterpump.
Great build! Good job👍
19:20 that gave me flashbacks to the video of the guy pulling off the sheet and his whole computer short circuited
My jaw dropped seeing this case, holy crap, when I get to building a new PC, this is probably gonna be it.
A case that size with no optical drive bay is kind of ridiculous but bottom airflow is always nice
i love how you quite literally OUTDID the entire thing, fully maxed it, and went over the line to the point where it was unnecessary, yet only put 2 ram in 🤣 I loved the vid, it was sarcastic humurous, and the pc looks absolutely amazing, thank you mate!🤗
Thank you for the drop test ! 😆
That needed the EVGA CLX 360 cpu rad in , looks slick.
Sheesh, this case looks awesome, take care! hugs from brazil!
Looks good but the lack of intake airflow to the GPU against the glass is worrying for long term use !
Gorgeous build! A pity that case is not available for sale in Brazil :(
love the case and set up but bro.... tell me u fixed the aio set up... flip the hose enter and exit so that they are above the pump. it puts less strain on the pump and extends the life of it.
just out of curiosity, what do you do with the PC's you build or are they for customer orders?
Thank You for helpin me find my Gaara build PC u just earned yaself an subscriber 🖤
Thats cooler gif needs a thundercats dynamic logo would complement the red and look awesome 👌
Thanks, nice presentation, thinking of a Ryzen build in future.
