Mya, China does not have immigration program as they dont needs more people than what they already have. Actually they needs less people so they had one child policy for many many years. What is the point of enduring one child policy if they were to allow immigrants in?

getting married with European lady doesn't make u citizen of the country ,that's phase 1, 3 to 5 years temporary residence permit ,good income,no criminal record and you must be able to speak the country language as well
No one says you will become a citizen immediately but obviously you can be a citizen one day after you fulfill certain conditions as you have mentioned.

I have heard that their government or policy doesn't even let them have dual citizenship and with the way they complain of overpopulation at times, adopting more people wouldn't be practical. If the marriage is not for love, I don't think it is going to be worth it on the long run. There have been cases of guys being "blackmailed" by their partners. Great job with this series!!

Very educative video. It's good to know that Africans are getting married to Chinese but I suggest marriage should come from genuine love and not just for visa or removal of trade restrictions.
I am 100% agree with you. No one, entitled to anything. Marrying to someone you love and be loved is a blessing in itself and everything else is just a bonus.
You are a smart and good. If such fake love case increased a lot and if there are so many mix-blooded children, Chinese will hate African deeply. That will lead to very bad situation on both side.

I suggest that the Chinese Government to grant total Citizenship to all those who are married to non Chinese People.
This handicap will be a an issue since the year 2011.
One must actually advocate the CCP to allow foreigners to become a Chinese.
China is not yet ready for Mixed people.
Besides one must master the Chinese language in order to be well integrated.
Permanent papers might be what China will seek for her humans.
However one must be Chinese in order to become a Chinese Person or Citizen.
The US Europe and Australia do allow Permanent Residency and Citizsnship depending on the situation.

Mode Maya, just a clarification about something you mentioned. The USA citizenship is not automatic for a spouse who marry a North American. They get a provisional resident visa for two years then after that they do another review for 10 years ( depending the case) then a regular no limit visa. Is up to the resident to request the citizenship.

Correction: one does not automatically get the citizenship status if married to someone from either the UK or America.
In the UK, you first are issued with a residence permit which allows you to work but you have to have been in the UK for some time before you can apply for a British passport/British citizenship. Marrying a British person doesn't automatically upgrade your status to citizenship.
In the same vein, marriage to a US citizen doesn't automatically result in the foreign spouse being granted citizenship.
I am a mixed (African-European) person married to a US citizen. We moved to the US almost a year ago and I am yet to receive my green card and work permit. In the whole time we've been here, I haven't been able to work, or apply for a driver's license or apply for medical insurance.
So...all is not rosy in the west as one might think.

I think you made a mistake in USA you first get a two year resident card, then you get a 10 year card anytime you can apply for naturalization. but it is not automatic you do have to do interviews during this time.

In Canada if a foreigner marry a Canadian you don’t automatically become a citizen, you still need to apply to become an immigrant.
This is crazy because chinese move to Africa and can stay permanent and they are doing that I would stop that and let chinese visit but can't stay permanent

Good video bro! But correction @ 3:44, you don't automatically become a citizen of a country because you're married to a citizen of that country. You become a legal resident of that country not a citizen. And you still have to go through the immigration process of that country to become one.

sorry man, your info is wrong. if you marry a US citizen you don't automatically become a citizen. you have to go through a process to get a green card (if you don't have a criminal record). after some years, you can go and apply for citizenship.
In USA it isn't automatic to become a citizen after marriage with a U.S. citizen. There are forms to fill and immigration interviews then maybe a foreigner can get his/her greencard.
pretty sure it actually IS a default thing, all you have to do is be married for 4 years and 3 months or something and it defaults to citizenship.

Being from the Yoruba (约鲁巴) tribe of Nigeria, a Chinese girl was quite surprised that I had a Chinese gf in the past and she said we people tend to be very conservative. It will seem Igbo (Ibo) people of Nigeria are more open in this respect. My interest in China was sparked ages ago by the one and only Bruce Lee (李小龙), a true legend!
i watched your video and thought it was very interesting. However, I do need to make a correction to something you said. I believe you said that if you marry someone from America then you would automatically become a citizen. That is NOT correct, sir. If you marry an American, you have the opportunity to apply for a green card or residency permit, but you DO NOT BECOME A CITIZEN or even get a green card even if you marry an American.

I have the same problem too, I am chinese with the French nationality, but I just can’t work in China although my wife is Chinese citizen, if I wanna work in China I need to change the family visa to working visa, you know what, the working visa is though enough. Although I’m chinese but it’s impossible to have the green card to stay always in China.
If a Chinese citizen gives up the citizenship, it's basically impossible to reclaim the Chinese citizenship, if it makes you feel better. :-/

So if marriage visa does not allow them to work or do buisness in China they have to reapply for a work visa? Does that mean they can carry 2 visas? Marriage and buisness visa simultaneously? My sister in law is Chinese and got married to a Belgian so she now has Belgian citizenship through marriage and after living 6months in Belgium
