Hey guys the Fire Brothers here and today I'm sharing with all of you the "Transitcut" this was the original opening for the movie where instead of the Maximal planet scene where the Maximals were trying to escape from Scourge and his minions, this scene involved Optimus Prime finding Transit at the bus stop and having a brutal fight against him which stablishes Prime's brutality, the objective of the Autobots through most of the movie and what the status of our heroes is after the events of the Bumblebee movie. Prime fights Decepticon Transit in a very brutal fight and buries his body in the Hudson River as he sets out on his mission of trying to find a way home like he stated in the release cut of the movie. Let me know what you thought of this scene and if you thought it was better than the Maximal Planet scene we ended up getting when the movie was released. technically it was a battle field not a 1v1, so it would be harder for each individual decepticon and autobot to to put an actual fight. if transit were in the battlefield with optimus, he prob would’ve died quickly
Because Optimus wasn't trying to kill transit at first, if he was serious from the beginning this fight would've lasted 10 secs.

Bro, Optimus has a big heart in this movie. He gave his enemy a chance to surrender and I for one if I'm a Decepticon , would've given up straight 😂.
Bro survived a whole gang of Cons back on Bumblebee movie and this bus driver thinks he has a chance.
He then gave him two more chances and them killed him at least he didn't force the answers out of him then kill him which I was glad about.

@@samuelaavila8285I mean the original ending for DOTM got leaked and Bay certainly changed the ending. Original ending was supposed to be Megatron making truce with Prime and heading back to Cybertron accepting his defeat and the series would've ended on a good note. But first it hot leaked and then hasbro pushed Bay for another part so that they can sell more toys(I heard that reason).

I LOVE to see Decepticons treat Optimus Prime as a sort of “Boogeyman.” Imagine how scared Transit must have been of him to destroy his only means of escape from Earth just to prevent Optimus Prime from taking it?
Transit knew he was going to lose
I don't think he was scared at all. He just wanted to make sure Optimus suffered. He knew besting Optimus in combat was a long shot....so wanted to make sure Optimus suffered none the least.
Every decepticon that isn't Megatron knows that fighting Optimus means getting deactivated. I'm sure Transit was happy knowing that even if he died, he made Optimus mentally suffer with the thought of never leaving Earth and failing to save Cybertron.
@@Turd_Emperor Being leader of the Autobots doesn't make Prime The Rock. Any Decepticon outside of Megatron can best & kill Optimus, he just hasn't met his quota yet. Him & Bumblebee are just as mortal as any other cybertronian.

No, the movies before hardly had any substance outside of the action and it eventually dried up sales. The bots can have a reason to tear into eachother, but why should the introduction of the hero be him “hunting” the enemy when that trait hardly carries on throughout the movie and would’ve made him unlikable with him acting like a dick in the movie
it sucks this scene was deleted from the final movie. It would've shown Optimus' desperation to go home, why he was even in a bus lot in the first place, and also explained why he doesn't trust humans. He thinks that if the autobots were to reveal themselves, they would be hunted down. However, since we lost this scene, we simply get a pretty well characterized Prime who just seems to be a little xenophobic.
He says in the movie that the humans would defend their planet. His fear of the humans hunting them is already implied there

@@sotl7749 just putting it out there that Rise of the Beasts is not connected in any way to the Michael Bay films, even though Michael Bay did work somewhat on this movie as a producer. I'm pretty sure there won't be a transformer-hunting group in this new continuity, but who knows what this new universe has in store. Also, the main point of my original comment was to praise the explanation of Optimus' fear, not to say that "humans wouldn't hunt transformers".

Combining this with the Maximals opening would've done a great job setting up both sides of our heroes. The Maximals have their backstory with Scourge and Unicron destroying their planet, and the Autobots get the Optimus and Transit fight. So when the Autobots and Maximals meet up its much more satisfying as a result of us knowing how similar their histories are

Honestly my favorite part about this is that Optimus gave Transit two chances to surrender and give up. Something you don't really see in other movies. It really presents Optimus as a stern leader who'll give his enemies a chance to surrender before killing them if they don't take it, which is good he shouldn't want to kill decepticons they're still Cybertronians like him after all but if they don't give him any other option he'll do what he has to do

@@Readdisyougey I agree with it being removed. Scourge's death was brutal because he deserved it for SPOILERS killing Apelinq, Bumblebee, Airazor, AND Mirage. Transit was probably sent to Earth against his will to look for Optimus, whom he found and was probably so scared that he destroyed the very ship he arrived on to keep Optimus on Earth. The way Prime killed him without even letting him finish talking is out of character even for being the psychopathic murderer he was in the Bayverse.
One of the best things about this scene, which should echo throughout all Transformers movies is that it's about the Transformers! Leave the humans out of the spotlight and give us more damn Transformers !
I really love how this scene ties in more with the Bumblebee movie than in the original cut. And for how the Decepticons found Earth; if they were able to follow Bumblebee, they might have been able to tail Prime and the gang too. They probably don’t know that Earth was going to be the main rallying point for all Autobots though.
It hardly makes sense that's what this scene is. Only three Decepticons came to Earth in Bumblebee, one followed him, the other two was an unfortunate accident. No other Decepticons should he on Earth after the end of the movie, and somehow there's dozens of scouts on Earth? And Prime killed them all because he led them there? That is completely stupid!!
Optimus talking about his background finding his way out of the earth, I was impressed by the way he made Transit suffer by killing him without thinking, what an incredible battle synchronization...

I love that this scene exists. It more prominantly ties "Rise of the beasts" to "Bumblebee" and establishes the status of long-running concerns like the decepticons and Cybertron. Also I would be so happy if the CGI was finished.
Even the low level decepticons are badass in this new universe. Can’t wait to see Megatron

This should have never been removed. You have this scene right after the Unicron opening as the Earth introduction and nothing would change! Test audiences really fumbled the bag on this one.

Except this scene makes no sense continuity wise to bumblebee, because the point of the last film was for the decepticons to NOT discover earth is the location of the autobots. Here, it seems like they DO know, which... yeah, no, I'm glad it got deleted since it would've un-did bumblebee's ending.
They could've at least find an explanation for how they discovered earth is their new home.

Oh man Oh man I'm REALLY hoping they animate this for the Blu-ray. This is so freaking good! It's such a cool scene that shows how regular Decepticons square up against Optimus and sets his motivation for the rest of the movie.

i like it. It shows Optimus being a little merciful AND desperate. I might be seeing things, but i like how after he shoots Transit, he looks like he wishes he didnt have to do that. like an impulse of anger.
I feel like the impulse of anger was more a act of desperation he wants to get back home so badly he doesn't care how even if that means killing Transit. He even gave Transit two chances to tell him where his ship is.
I don't think there was ever an issue with brutality, just tone. Despite Optimus being depressed and angry throughout the movie, the tone is still relatively lighthearted because it's never the single thing commanding a scene above everything else. This scene really feels like it's supposed to lead into a much darker movie than what it actually was.
This was such a good opening scene. Optimus is truly the leader of the Autobots. He’s a Prime for a reason. Selfless, Mild-Mannered, Highly Intelligent, Level-Headed, Sensible, Nice, Friendly, Kind, and Wholesome.

0:54 chills when I see the Decepticon logo knowing that specific one is the Bayformers design with the diamond shaped eyes. I wish we see Transit during the scene when Optimus transforms for the first time in the movie in front of the buses. And after that, both will have their battle ending with Transit's defeat. After the whole fight Optimus notices the Transwarp key. "Calling all Autobots".

Things to keep
-I think there is a world where we could've gotten this and the maximal planet opening scene, this scene being sometime just after of course. As a way to introduce the autobots' situation. It's a good fight!

It looks like the scene wasn’t finished in time. Aside from the CGI, we didn’t get to see the part where Transit mocks Optimus and shows him a hologram of Autobot soldiers being killed by decepticons. We also didn’t see the part where Optimus throws Transit’s corpse into the Hudson River, revealing a mass grave of dead decepticons. But this is better than nothing and Transit looks badass.

@@halofrog1861 I don’t think we will ever see that part unless they do a directors cut with all the deleted stuff. The hologram and river parts came from an early test screening which people thought were too dark so that’s why the scene was removed entirely
Honestly the whole cgi situation lazlow described was a good point, plus the hybrid work (from covid) honestly, I wouldn't mind waiting 3 or 5 years for ROTB part 2 to give robots the most screentime like with this movie

Optimus' monologue in the beginning of this alternate opening is so ominous especially with the thunder and rain in the background. Infinitely better than what we got, sigh.. what a huge missed opportunity.

This is SOOO AWESOME, I'm not going to lie it is very brutal but Optimus does give him TWO chances. I think this would have been literally perfect, though I'm not really sure where they would have fit it into the movie. Maybe after the maximals opening?
And he only killed him after being told his hope to escape was destroyed, in what I can only assume is very justifiable anger.

I think Optimus killing off Transit full of anger like Bayverse Prime isn't out of character and actually helps his character
Clearly he became angry when Transit revealed he destroyed his ship, leaving no way back to Cybertron for Prime and saying he will die on this planet (earth) which by this point Prime sort if hates/regrets being on, considering it's so far from home
And Prime cuts him off by shooting him, because he didn't want to keep being reminded of his mistake of coming here, trapping him and his people on a nowhere planet with a bunch of nobodies
God, Optimus was cold as fuck in that last shot. Literally Demolishor'd Transit's ass after using his own gun against him.
I love this scene so much because it feels like a true take on Optimus Prime . Unlike the Bay films where he was pretty depicted as a deadly warrior giving monologue over and over there he is a fallen leader how is open to be civil but will kill when there is no other choice .

To be fair, the Decepticons have been trying again and again to destroy the earth. Optimus didn’t want that. Who wouldn’t get violent?
I gotta say I really like how much more realistic Opimus is portrayed now. instead of being a blood thirsty killer, Optimus is a calm and rational leader who is being pushed to his limits mentally and is being to lose his cool. It’s the first time it feels like Optimus is an actual character and not just a stereotypical stoic leader

This would definitely be a great start to Prime’s character ark, but I can see why it was replaced to better add to the whole “Beast” aspect of the movie.

And I hate o say it but I see how this was removed. After all prime in the rest of the movie is a more patient and reasonable leader who doesn't decide that the kill is always necessary.
Like I felt the rage in this scene from Optimus and the absolute locked-down mindset he had when it came to escaping this planet.
ESPECIALLY THAT ENDING. He felt more villainous instead of the leader looking for answers and ways to make things better. See if they made it to where Optimus HAD to kill this overly violent Decepticon then that would be better than him flat-out losing his temper and shooting him point blank.

I like how the fight is similar to that of the Bumblebee film. The opponents use the surroundings to their advantage, they are not just ripping each other up bear handed. You can see Transit use a lamp pole to hit Optimus and Optimus using some debris to hit Transit.
As much as I enjoyed the opening scene we got, I really wished we could’ve got this epic fight scene, this is what I was most excited about until they said it was cut out
i wish this is what we got as an opening cause it shows that the decepticons are present in ROTB and the people who say it's brutal i think are not real TF fans cause if they are they would know that even bayverse prime is brutal and in Bumblebee cliff literally got cut in half
And those people probably forgot or didn't see Scourge's death scene.
I just want a proper gen1 adaptation of Optimus. Literally, the difference between Autobots and Decepticons is suppose to be that Autobots don't kill unless absolutely necessicary, which is why the decepticons always outnumber them, is because Autobots simply don't kill unless all other options are exhausted.

It's a shame they scraped this. It's not even that brutal to cut it. Common, Bayverse Prime was ripped off the fallens face and crushed his spark with his bare hands. Also not to mention that he ripped of Scourge's head after cutting both of his arm off and shoving his sword in his mouth before decapitating him, IN THE SAME MOVIE!! They're more examples such as. Sentinel Prime, Megatron, and Prime Ripping Shockwaves eye out.
Yeah because it actually felt more deserved and satisfying. The bayverse prime comes off being unnecessarily brutal and pyscho. Plus goes against everything that optimus stands for.
And this scene just shows it that no one wanted to see.
As much as I love transit and he was absolutely awesome in the fight, just the shit optimus prime says and does in this scene just feels so fucking out of character of prime and just feels like bayverse all over again. Plus what happens after this, yeah no.
I am happy this wasn't shown. I know he was brutal but he generally had a reasoning and unlike decepticons, scourge is literally nothing more then a demonic being that serves a dark god. Unlike Megatron and sentinel where their deaths were not satisfying at all. Like optimus never averaged jazz, literally died and they forgot. Same with Ironhide, he didn't even get a a funeral. And do to how badly they write the characters in the film and stories, it doesn't help at all.
Rotb in the final cut, sure was brutal but definitely nothing like this or bayverse prime.
@@ethanpena2030giving Transit three chances to surrender is out of character? Keep in mind Prime said not alot of Autobots made it off of cybertron in time and originally Transit was gonna show Prime a hologram of the autobots being executed.

I wish it was more finished, but this is polished enough for my liking. RIP Transit.

War can really change someone... the cartoon Optimus is a role model for kids... but the live action movies, I would prefer him to be realistic... you have to kill to protect those you care about simple as that...
This was actually a pretty good opening, and gives a lot about Optimus' character during the movie: hiding from humanity, his moody and self-blaming attitude and distrust to the humans out of fear for the Autobots that are stranded on Earth with him.
Honestly, this really shows how mad he's gotten after letting his team down.
And reinforces the lessons he needed to learn during the movie.
I wish this coudlve made it in, although we didnt see the scene where prime dumps his body into the river and we see all the other decepticons he killed, this is so sick

The need to use Transit in a future movie.
I absolutely see why this was cut. People are saying ‘it’s not that violent’ but that isn’t the point. It’s how Optimus behaves. He twists the blade to get more info, he instantly kills Transit after learning he has no use for him, he even refers to himself as ‘the hunter’. Optimus comes across as more twisted than Transit in this scene.
He only kills transit when he runs his mouth, what was Optimus supposed to do, “can you please tell me where your ship is? I wanna go home.” Torture is the only way sometimes, Optimus gave him many chances to tell him.
Its honestly no different than how Prime behaved in the rest of the movie. He's fallible, angry, and has doubts. That and he was out to rip off Scourges head throughout most of the movie in which he did at the end which was more violent than this. Optimus was done playing games by the time of this intro and was looking for anyway to get his Autobots back to Cybertron and the war effort. Which kind of doesn't make sense in the longrun from Bumblebee based on the results in this movie where if he knew they didn't have a way to return why leave in the first place or why didn't they reconfigure or repair their escape pods? If the pods were able to get them to Earth, couldn't they get them back or are they only fit for one use? Its definitely something the movies glossed over and kind of makes Optimus's judgment look poor in the grand scheme of things.
not even just that, but that it's the single focus of the scene. It feels way darker than any other scene in the movie and that doesn't do a very good job of getting people into the mindset the movie wants you to be in.

I love how Optimus actually uses his trucks headlights in this scene. This would've been a good opening fight scene but the one we got was still good but wasn't there a scene where prime sees a hologram of some of his autobots getting executed by decepticons on cybertron?

There is a time jump and the full scene would reveal more bodies. Perhaps others showed up at some point, also there would be autobots being killed. Who knows? Maybe someone talked.
