I really enjoyed this movie but when I got to the end and everything was starting to come unglued and the little girl was so happy at finally being able to see that Friends episode, that it struck me. This is exactly what is going down right now. The world is being led to the edge of a giant takeover and people don't care. All they're worried about is being able to binge-watch their favorite show. Scary!

The first half of the movie is a delight. Thoughtful dialogue, great camerawork, smart writing to create tension, and a sense of being left in the dark creates a very entertaining 60 minutes of film. The second half of the film collapses under the excellence of the first. The writers were quite unique and clever in writing their first half, their pool of witfullness and creative ran dry trying to write the second
I disagree; the first half was a very clever and cleanly crafted set up for the second half where the reality of the situation finally comes crashing down on all of the characters. This will not pass. This is not negligible. This is world ending catastrophe.
And the ending was a beautiful bow on top. An insignificant moment is recalled and used. Lovely!
At the end of the day I want my 2 hours back straight trash!!!

Captivating and intriguing for a while, then you realize there is no way to end this movie. It's gonna end abruptly and leave you saying WTF. Which it does.

I saw this movie yesterday and it's good. There has been mention of attacks on America in different ways. As a country, we are so vulnerable right now. Especially with these borders. This movie is worth watching. It has you viewing things differently. Start preparing for the worst-case scenario gradually.

Like many similar movies, it builds up intrigue that hooks you, but then gets repetitive and the movie isn’t sure how to end itself. It gives some explanation which actually doesn’t make too much realistic sense but at least it was some ending and not a cop out with no discernible ending.

@@nub-cake Mr. Robot is his magnum opus but Comet is a fantastic movie. The first season of Homecoming which was awesome and heck, the 2nd season was very underrated IMO even though he wasn’t involved with it anymore. Briarpatch with Rosario Dawson was decent, he served as executive producer. They canceled it after one season eventually which I wasn’t surprised about but it’s worth giving a shot.
People will see the real movie soon in the real life.

Mr Robot is probably the most excellent TV Cinema Ever! Better than Cinema actually. I believe Esmail is an upgraded and better storyteller & director than Fincher. Homecoming was amazing. Can't wait for this!!!

I checked out the trailer for Julia Roberts, and was extremely pleased to see Ethan Hawk. And then I went like "is that Kevin Bacon"? I m soooo happy when I confirmed that towards the end of the trailer.
I never knew about this movie before, but i m definitely watching it in December. The cast is dynamite and there is enough mystery shown in the trailer to arouse my curiosity.

The whole movie is like a homage to Shyamalan. It has Shyamalan written over practically every shot and I love it!
