This is brilliant and exactly what I'd expect from someone who graduated from one of Canada's top business schools with really good grades.
Wth does going to business school have to do with Making a TV Show?
@@MichelleAlexandria-EM Clearly not a Nathan Fielder fan.
😂
@@MichelleAlexandria-EM Looks like someone hasn't seen the funniest TV show of all time...
Really funny, hilarious to see this joke repeated on everything Nathan related. Gets funnier every time!
Im a local from Española, born and raised, and having Emma and Nathan in our beautiful community was an honor and to make a show where you get to take a look at our city of roughly 10,000 is a gem. We typically don’t have a positive reputation and due to this locals can be mistrusting about anything being made about us since we’re used to getting the short end of the stick in the New Mexico story, a lot of our culture (which is largely Native American and Hispanic) is very rich and unique to our area but also constantly overlooked. So to have a show with highly regarded actors positively show that side is absolutely wonderful. I can only hope this can ripple and show that there is more to Española Valley than many believe.
Yesssssssss I'm so glad! This makes me so happy!💕🌟
My aunt is from Espanola, and I recently visited her family last weekend. I am happy to see where Espanola is going for the future. You have a beautiful town, and it is just going to become a popular destination if it isn't already. Congrats on becoming one of the top towns to watch for in the nation.
Eeee España broo. I miss it there so much.
Eeeee Spaña por vida, que no
love this so much!!!!!! So excited to watch
Great to see Nathan in a dramatic acting role. The Rehearsal not only reconfirmed his comedic genius, but also that he has serious acting chops (I'm particularly referencing the scene where he finds his fake son overdosing)
@mikechoe97 don’t know what you mean by “fake son” that was a documentary??
Everyone..."Great actors are able to convince you with their performance that any part of a good story is real."
Also everyone..."Oh, comedians have to perform live, on a near nightly basis, for years and years, in front of wildly varying crowds all of whom they must convince of the reality of a good story."
Still everyone somehow..."It's so amazing that this great comedian is a great actor!"
While I'm not saying Nathan can't act, I'm looking forward to seeing him in a role other than a guy who graduated from one of Canada's top business schools with really good grades.
@@nickswinehart3343I think he plays that role pretty well though.
@@being_omg Its a nonfiction show where people get to rehearse scenarios of situations they expect themselves to be in eventually, and most of the episodes feature Nathan and another woman pretending to raise a son (played by multiple young actors of varying ages). One episode has Nathan finding the "son" overdosing, and he reacts like a terrified parent would, even though it's all staged.
Everything nathan does already is so unsettling and now putting a horror spin on it is just gonna make it even creepier. This is gonna be a tough watch but im gonna love every second of it im sure
Great to see Nathan in a serious role. It seems this movie will be about gentrification
Highly doubt this will have any horror elements in it, unfortunately 😢
Where was the horror in this trailer 🫤🤨?
@@danix454 the music? I dunno it felt creepy to me. Curses, spooky unexplained things happening?
@@ViRrOorRI’m not sure you watch many horror movies or shows if you think this is scary it’s supposed to be a comedy show
I was already sold on this show and was hype to hear more about it. The "My homes reflect the local community" line with the mirror house had me stop the trailer cause I don't want any more spoiled 😂😂 that was great
So you missed the weirdest part, with the animated elephant talking to them.
Damn that’s crazy that you stopped before they showed the shot of Nathan falling hitting a home run in a little league kids baseball game before getting tazed before reaching the snack bar
You missed out on the part with the big pp aliens 👽
@@Hirohito_iLoveYou Tbh, the big pp aliens made me uncomfortable as a man.
That WAS great, but the otters performing "Space Oddity" was (to me) the peak of this trailer.
I love when trailers left me asking more questions
like, what is this show about?
I do to, but in this case is just confusing. It's not a teaser. It's an almost 3 minutes trailer. I should have at least an ideia about what it its but I don't. I'm passing this one.
@@tiburc10 it seems like a pretty straight-forward trailer, a rich couple with a TV show get's cursed, what else do you need to know?
@@tiburc10not really
@@marco_fm Funny, I didn’t see a curse. A bird flew into their house and a Native American woman screamed.
I also didn’t learn much about any of these characters, nor was there any emotional investment offered in the trailer. No one to care about, no drama, no human element. Just broad meandering satire of wealthy schemers/influencers.
No, the only thing I got from this trailer is that the director feels very self satisfied in his obvious metaphor and critique of gentrification/cultural appropriation. It’s smug and pretentious. Then again, it’s A24, so that comes with the territory.
A bunch of upper middle class millennials will watch this and love it, feeling superior for having been pandered to. They’ll go on to analyze how the bird represents the character’s presence destroying local wildlife and culture. Oblivious to the fact that this entire enterprise is just as soulless and manufactured as the characters it satirizes.
They should've talked with Sue Stanford the ghost realtor. her homes are 100% ghost and demon free
lmaooooooooo
STAY OUT OF SWITZERLAND
BAHAHAHAHA! Funniest comment I've read all year 😂
Nathan Fielder is one of those super underrated geniuses. He is so incredibly ambitious and no one thinks like he does in comedy!
well that's what happens when you graduate from one of Canada's top acting schools with really good grades.
@@Ravver Excuse me but Nathan specialized in Business
I 100% agree I've never seen him in anything that wasn't entirely hilarious, one of the best
He's one of the greatest of our time.
He's extremely unlikable in this show 😂
Nathan Fielder, Safdie and Miss Stone is a trio I did not realize I needed, but I need it! Can’t wait for this to come out *___*
It’s not what this trailer makes it’s out to be
Emma's character's forced smile would drive me bananas. There's women out there that are like that but it's so obvious to me. (SMS - smile mask syndrome... just found out this is a thing) 😁
this is the most expressive I've ever seen nathan fielder in my life
For anyone who has been following this, this show has been in production for soooooo long I can't believe I'm finally watching the trailer.
I can't believe HBO let fielder go. How do they not buy this?
I've been waiting forever for a trailer or drop date I couldn't believe it finally came after years of waiting. Nathan has my favorite comedy in the biz
@@BehPokerhe’s producing a second season of The Rehearsal, so they’ve still got him.
It would probably be weird to have him playing the fictionalized version of himself, while also working as a capable actor on the same service.
nobody can deny nathans acting chops and instincts like timing and delivery, but its going to be really interesting (and weird) seeing him actually acting outside his own persona. really excited!
Well he basically plays the exact same guy he always does
Not to mention opposite an academy award winner! This is the big leagues.
@@Nicholas-Prince-MilvertonIs This one shot documentary style (everything we see is from a camera the actors are aware of) or is some of it shot cinematically?
@dresdenvisage shot cinematically. Interesting tho. They use a lot of different angles and positioning that is unique. Anyway check it out, it's worth a watch
@@Nicholas-Prince-Milverton Thanks, will do!
Nathan Fielder in a serious acting role? Count me in.
He continues to make Vancouver and Toronto proud.
very uplifting show, really flipped my world upside down
I think it's hilarious that HBO and Nathan Fielder tricked Showtime into paying for The Rehearsal Season 2.
He pulled a David Lynch 😂😂
Love to see Emma back with a movie and tv show
Oh, you'll be sick of her by January. She's probably going to win another Oscar for Poor Things.
She's all over the place, no need to come back🙄
What is she coming back from...?
@@TorioMason Her last performance was from 2021
@@grandebid it takes one Google search to find out that's not true... good try, though
Full trailer and I still can’t understand what it’s really about. I’m in.
That's what makes an A24 film an A24 film. lol
A couple doing a home flipping show that have a curse put on them because of their selfish ways, whats not to get?
It's about the comdification compassion and the neo liberal anxieties surrounding a structure that clearly benefits a certain demographic at the cost of another.
@@crogers2009yes. The marketing, bc that’s the only creative input that A24 has in their films and shows. Creative independent teams make movies. A24 just funds, markets, ajd distributes them.
@@crogers2009 It's a Showtime show not an A24 film.
Fielder and Safdie is the collab I didn't know I really needed in my life. Cannot wait for this.
But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen- that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
Acts 26:22-23
If Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone is anything other than phenomenal I would honestly be pretty shocked. I have more confidence in this than any trailer has given me for any other show in a while
Emma chooses tremendous projects! Poor Little Things and this look amazing! So happy to see her back in action!
Saw the first three episodes premiered at New York film festival tonight with Nathan and Benny present. Loved it so far- seriously unlike anything I've seen in terms of pacing, cinematography, tone, etc. Y'all are in for a treat!

How old was she, 8? Bunch of freaks . . .
Seems like this is genuinely something we must all look forward to. There's just something about it that's so compelling and fascinating about it.
This trailer filled me with curiosity and intrigue. Very well done-- I will be tuning in for sure.
I’m so excited for this! Anything Nathan Fielder automatically has me sucked in.
And Emma Stone...
This is gonna be great!
Emma Stone has such great facial expressions for a psychotic role
She is great in general, but her show Maniac on Netflix is really underrated
Only 2 episodes though, according to IMDb.
Glad to see Nathan do some more serious roles. He was amazing in “ The Claw of Shame”
Adding that to my list
Oh! It's an episode of NFY! That was absolutely amazing.
@@dresdenvisage SOMETHING MIGHT HAPPEN HERE AND IF IT DOES SO WHAT! Has become a staple in my daily life
I am so stoked and nervous for this at the same time! What a birthday gift to see how my part turned out
This looks AMAZING! Love the casting and premise.
Can't wait to see Nathan in this. He did a bit of drama in "The Rehearsal" (which was also great btw) but paired with Emma Stone - both are gonna be electric! Plus, created and written by Benny Safdie and Nathan Fielder!? LETS GOOOO!!!!!
Emma Stone might be one of the best actresses of this generation. & she has a good chance to get her 2nd Oscar this year from Poor Things
"This doesn't make sense".
Just described the trailer lol I love it already
The Rehearsal is one of the most brilliant pieces of work that I've ever seen. It will be tough, but I'm gonna try to temper my expectations even though this looks amazing.
I hope Nathan Fielder doesn't go away from his unscripted, reality roots. That's where his work really shines, and he's a rare gem in that regard.
The Rehearsal has a second season set to premiere either in late 2024 or early 2025, and with the massive success of the first season I’m sure he could work on that project off and on for as long as he wants on HBO’s dime.
His shows are a mix of both scripted and unscripted
sorry to break that wall for you but all of his stuff is like 90% scripted.
WHat? I hope he expands to as many genres and breaks them as possible.
@@TheCldmstrsn Are you saying you think everyone on Nathan For You was just an actor and playing a role?
I love how this is shot like a showtime show!
I am seeing Nathan's work becoming more refined and deep with each series. I still cant put my finger in it, this oddly satisfying meta- 4th wall- self-aware thing that I'm becoming obsessed with.
Also, he looks like Bird Person from Rick and Morty
I’m so curious now after the trailer 😮
what if this whole show is an elaborate ploy for the next season of The Rehersal in which he tries to trick Emma Stone into falling in love with him
All the comments complaining is a testament to the quality. It doesn’t pander at all and it’s amazing imo
This show feels like it was made for me. I’m so excited to see the first few episodes tonight at NYFF!!!
Please tell me if you liked it after you watch the episodes! The description says “genre-bending”, and the trailer is very intriguing…I’d love to hear what you think!
What did you think of it? Congratulations on getting to go that's an amazing experience
@@gretaweiss6802 I loved it! It was cringey, gasp-inducing, super funny, and absolutely brilliant. The social and political commentary is perfectly presented through the humor of the show. It’s a scripted comedy but the plot/way its shot definitely sometimes feels like Nathan for You or The Rehearsal. There’s also some serious/dramatic elements. I don’t know why but I was so surprised Nathan felder seemed like such a natural actor then I realised he’s constantly acting, every once in a while maybe for a very interview he drops the person but he’s constantly acting so seeing him in a totally different role and he seems really good from what I see here is great!
I love how it feels like the docu tv style of nathan felder, but it also feels like a movie
Anything Nathan does is an automatic win in my books. Can't wait to watch this.
this is definitely not a win, its the worst thing ive ever seen.

Emma Stone is the best actress of her generation. Love to see her in every project she is in.

I'm not even done watching this show and its crazy, i feel like im on something lol. Its unsettling, awkward and bizarre in the best way. The actors really brought it all together, they nailed it.

This trailer is way more funny than it actually is because Nathan Fielder is in it

I wasn't convinced before the trailer, but after watching it, I want to watch it. So good job!
The improv scene was one of the most physically painful things I’ve seen. Less overtly comedic than The Office/Peep Show but if you’re a masochist for cringe this is the show for you.
Not only did Nathan graduate from one of Canadas top business schools with really really good grades, but now he is a legit actor as well. I hope he and his costars can like, hang out and be friends outside of work.
