@@Pistachios362:02, go watch it again. She literally backed up off the road to turn the car around, and you can clearly see all that “free real estate” she didn’t use and chose to instead play chicken with the hacked/malfunctioning teslas.
@@shakachoarroyo So does airplanes, trains, ships, subways, elevators, etc. Your argument is essentially if we use (electronic only or partially electronic device) then in an a scenario like this we are in great danger. But we use so many objects like these in our daily lives that a hypothetical like this would only compromise less than 0.01% of all of the dangers happening. A tesla situation like this would be the least of our worries.
OMG, I saw this scene in a recent thunderf00t video and thought this was a comedy skit making fun of Tesla. Imagine my surprise when I find out this is part of a feature-length movie. 😂
Watched that movie, "LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND" , last night. This run amok Tesla thing was a clever idea someone had for something that might happen (however remote) when technology gets disrupted. I guess Elon Musk had to be happy if you subscribe to P. T. Barnum's theory that "There's no such thing as bad publicity". A quick review of the movie: Good but not great. Could have been 30 minutes shorter. I would say give it a try. Acting by all is very good. You don't get to see much of Kevin Bacon until late in the movie but he nailed his performance. The ending brought back memories of the Sopranos last episode, except this one was funny.
It’s more like a nice guy married a Karen. But yeah, even though Julia Roberts plays a distinctly unlikeable character (which isn’t typical of roles she plays) her being the first to jump out of the car to immediate check the unusual, creepy situation without flinching did seem kinda noticeable and comical to me in this scene.
You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost up ahead- your next stop, the Twilight Zone!
Weird. The highway towards the cities full of crashed white and black teslas yet the lanes out of the highway are just other people cars with different colors. Did the teslas stop people from leaving too?
The only thing is, they should be driving Thor Rolls-Royce I love my Ford pick up trucks this video here explains why I will always love living in my old farmhouse in the country areas. I am always and will be a country girl.
I genuinely liked this movie, but it is kind of slow and atmospheric. Despite the style of the cinematography and the trailer, it’s definitely NOT a horror movie (even though the trailer tricks you into thinking it’s a horror movie, it’s not). It is very much an ensemble psychological drama with some philosophical themes and commentary on society, but it’s not really “horror” scary. Just tense.
Although, I did get my Cybertruck deposit refunded, and after renting a tesla to live with it for a while last month, I'm not getting one either. Oh well, I can do better.
So an auto drive homing function works but the cars can't avoid another vehicle? The cars wouldn't have made it that far. Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing this. Love the societal collapse genre. From what I have read, this is full of tiny bits of subtle symbolism. Janga game is American society, growing more unstable all the time. Obey t shirt is consumerism and our acceptance of the status quo, the issue of the week, and the looming foreign policy problems with China, Russia, North Korea. And it's a tie in to Obama's famous HOPE poster by Shepard Fairey, the artist who has a series of OBEY works. NASA t shirt is America's worship of technology and also represents the threat of war ... rockets are also weapons. I like the huge ship ramming the beach. .. on the surface it shows that we are not safe anywhere. Beach vacations are paradise and still we're in danger. Like going to the grocery store these days and getting $h0+ for no reason. It's only my opinion, but inspired by other peoples observations and questions. Generally, in films, there's often a reason for things being present, however minor. But sometimes a t shirt is a t shirt. Cheers folks. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
The director didn't tell her they would add cars in post. He just said, your husband just told you to take a turn driving the family down a calm peaceful country road. They got what they needed in the first take.
Folks, if there is an end of world scenario do what you can to locate a solar equipment source as well as an EV and an electric version of any tool/machine/etc you may need. Because gas will disappear relatively quickly but that solar equipment will keep things charged and working for many, many years to come. As far as this movie, I tried to watch it but this segment is when I turned it off. Much like standing there doing nothing as a giant cargo ship heads straight towards you, the sheer lack of common sense in this movie was too much to take. People are stupid, but they’re not that stupid.
USING THE MOST ADVANCED VEHICAL ON THE PLANET WAS ACKNOLEDGEMENT OF A SUPERIOR PRODUCT, WHILE TRYING TO DEFAME IT, THE REPORTER IN THIS STORY MAKES THE FATAL MISTAKE OF INJECTING HIS EGO AND ATTACKING MUSK TO MAKE HIM SELF LOOK SMARTER, WHAT AN ASS HOLE. REPORTERS SHOULD NOT MAKE THEMSELVES PART OF THE STORY.
Her staying on the road to dodge cars was so stupid…
The whole thing is stupid her running and her driving etc it's all stupid❄
My thoughts exactly lol
Fr I saw that part and was like, why tf isn't she parked on the grass yet?
There was no where to go off the road. There was a guard rail on one side & a steep hill on the other

I love this scene. Who TF would want a Tesla after seeing this kind of hypothetical?
Ah yes because movies are always totally accurate to real life
@cherylcreamer9297 no, but they can affect it

Lol, Musk was reportedly mad over this scene...
Pissing himself laughing more like.
Lol he's so sensitive
Doubtful.
f*ck musk. He is such a snake oils sales man
Doesn't matter. Not many people know electric car brands outside of tesla so I can see why they use this one
It’s cool how once she starts the car, the camera becomes almost gyroscopic

Same, I had to look it up.
Same, i thought it was a comedy skit from like a late night show. To my surprise its a full Netflix movie lol
Siren: There were 10000000000,000000 Of Teslas On the F**king Road
This is why I will always live in the countryside💪🏼
So, they would do what they do now, except for the whole bursting into flames thing?
This scene gave me huge chills, so crazy how much it scares me.
Spoiler alert: In the movie, most of the cars are played by Tesla.

So true. And she’s the one got out of the car to check things out lol
😂

Awesome 😂👍
Lol. I just watched this movie tonight.

In this case, it would be electric avenue 😂
That's.... so incredibly not how that works but ooookay lol
"Ethan, you imbecile!. Get in the car, I'm driving!!!"
🙄
Look at Tesla getting recalled now...
Weird. The highway towards the cities full of crashed white and black teslas yet the lanes out of the highway are just other people cars with different colors. Did the teslas stop people from leaving too?
I am so glad I live in the countryside with my barn in old farmhouse. I am always a country girl.
So she tells her husband to wait in the car while she checks things out. Wow, things getting crazy.

Along with Elon Musky, one more reason to never get a Tesla
A fictional movie... you really are deranged.
I don't think you should have one either.
I'm going to buy another and name it after you.
Although, I did get my Cybertruck deposit refunded, and after renting a tesla to live with it for a while last month, I'm not getting one either. Oh well, I can do better.
its gonna happen guys, free trial FSD
Oh look, nothing happened.
Why do they look panicked?
Maybe cause there are teslas coming full speed at them
What movie?

It's a funny movie idea. But it wouldn't happen like this.
Interesting how none of the Tesla airbags went off.
yes it did at 0:33 the one in the back on the left if you looking into the rear window you can see the airbag on the steering wheel
@@yilanli862 Just one? In all those cars?
idk prob theres more that we cant see

Wow, there are some real dumb decisions made in this scene.
