Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. The U.S. steel zero emissions switcher locomotive is going to the Edgar Thompson Steel Works at 152 11th Street Braddock Pennsylvania a few minutes to the east from Pittsburgh across the river from Kennywood Park an amusement attraction for 100 years.
Great video of the HorseShoe Curve , many thanks .
Happy Monday and Earth Day🚂🚃Friends..
Well at least the Ashland Darwin wasn’t stuck on the tracks 😒
Is it my imagination or have the predominance of open boxcars been seen in Tuscon. At least 3 sets of open ones come to mind. Anyone else agree??
Salutări din România dragi prieteni 🙋🙋🇷🇴
Nice shave and a haircut at 2:35
That Darwin be all right...as long as he was looking in his rear view mirror
First the Mon Valley Works, and then State College on the named car! It's like old home week for me. Thanks, VR!
Two 3 Way Meets ❤❤
14:05 Canadian American boxcar
Track 1 @ Ft. Madison comes thru where I live in missouri
I do love the Happy Honker(s) of Chehalis, and it was nice to see some trains in Laramie. And yes, I did catch myself yelling "Run, Bambi, run!" Glad they both stayed safe. Thanks for another great one!
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in multiple locations, especially the Heritage Units, CSX military train in Fairport, New York, train meets in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and so much more, I like them, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much.
It's quite insane, but rare to see 3 moving freight trains at once! Imagine that.
Fort Madison, a parade of locos. 5280 should be named the Mile High loco.
Great footage and video!🛤🚂
Love the old school equipment ❤ great job VR i love the refrigerator cars
Why aren't side dump cars seen as often? Which company builds them?
Thumbs up for the NS SD40's great catch
Notice how often you see gondolas that are old, battered and empty but fairly see them new and full
Rairly
@@MyNivri “rarely” 🤓😂
Thanks VRF, there were some different Hopper-car names to check-out tonight.
6:00 Waddup with the gensets - retirement resort?
Scrap or rebuild to something else. I guess the idea was a failure?
@@twiggs24 Your guess is as good as any. I never heard if they pay their way or not…..
Love these grab bags
5:36 I'll bet those Gensets are being sold or scrapped.
And the SantaFe's hood looks like Chernobyl after the explosion!
*Awesome Catches*
Wow! 3 damaged boxcars!
Thank you for contacting BNSF, UP and NS dispatchers for arranging the 3 way meets!
😂😂😂
18:20+ is just mesmerizing
The🦌, 1 crossed over ..
The Horshoe Curve camera needs white balanced. Black NS locomotives are looking blue.
Looks like an old International pick up at La Grange
Nice video by Indonesia
hello Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy
trenurile de marfă au adunat multe puncte de vizualizări 🧑💻
0:08 CSX 1897 as mid-train DPU
0:48 US Steel ET-5e battery electric rebuild of an SW1200 (might be an SW9)
1:24 shove of all BN and ATSF covered hoppers
2:13 G&W orange units trailing
2:51 BNSF and UP freight trains racing each other
3:20 Grain Inspectors, Packers and Stockayrds Association car FGWX 70000

5:26 two H2 dash 9s, six gensets, and a warbonnet dash 8
7:03 UP 1111 as DPU
7:24 this car chose to wait on the other track for the Amtrak to leave
7:59 a lot going on in one clip!
11:10 NS train with MOW gongolas over horseshoe Curve along with two other trains
12:46 TEXX caboose 100
13:07 wrecked boxcars on flatbeds
13:50 Amtrak express boxcar
13:56 new MOW vehicle on a flatbed. Looks like a power car for a 2nd vehicle that does the track work
15:16 open boxcar doors with loads inside
15:55 NS dump cars. These carry large rocks to fill and strengthen embankments
17:37 NS high hood trailing
Fifth! There's (as I'm posting this) only four other comments, so at least I finished top 5. Edit: 7:23 not a smart move. Not only did he try to run the crossing, but actually stayed on the track until Amtrak cleared the crossing. If a train came up behind him, he would probably have end up being measured for a pair of wings and given a harp.
Which would probably not be a bad thing.
@@jamesghiorzoe107 so it wouldn't be a bad thing if the driver's mom, dad, spouse , brothers, sisters , children, ect., had to go the rest of their lives without the driver, who they love and will miss dearly?🤨
@bowlinerailfan Perhaps the driver should think about them before making a dumb move.
Why did that CSX Loco say Monon on the side?
It is one of CSX series of heritage units which in this case honors the Monon, which primarily connected Chicago and Louisville, and was acquired by L&N in 1971.
Monon CSX heritage!!!
Does the tracks at 5:47 run through sugar creek Missouri?
Yes.
really awesome grab bag video!
Why can't the Roanoke camera pan to the left anymore??
I like TEXX Caboose, What railroad or company is that from?
TTS, LLC. A freight forwarder.
Awesome a new episode of Virtual Railfan Grab Bag
I really enjoy watching trains thank you.🇺🇲🤠🇺🇲
🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲
8:01 "Deer Signal Drop" is the name of my Air Supply cover band
Very good video
That is not a Genset power move. That's a Genset funeral train so is the ATSF WB
That’s me at 17:30. 😂😂😂
Did you take down both cameras in Kansas City
Caution (Do Not Stop On Tracks)
BNSF Genset switchers thru Ft. Madison, IA? Where are they going and why? Thanks.
4:14 what is the thing with the sunglasses supposed to be? a snake?
Ashland need I say more.
Yeah, right. ET-5e is coal fired.
Virtual Railfan, When will u place a camera live Fort worth Central station?
I dont usually comment, but, opening with CSX 759 was cool, but NOT nearly as cool as THE REAL NKP 759, and we all know how cool that one was❗Well, maybe some of you younguns might not know about NKP 759, but thats YOUR problem🤣🤣❗Dang!, i love it being sarcastic!
my heart stopped with the deer crossing the rails... as for the Darwin candidate... no comment...
I just want to point out people seem to have no brain sometimes
another Darwin candidate 😂

Don't see the point of showing every gyro carriage name, boring
What are names even for? Noticed they started doing this. Don't understand it
Because it's not boring to everyone.
What are you talking about? He stops to show heritage units, units still painted from old railroads that don't exist anymore, and unusual units. Which is the kind of stuff railfans enjoy seeing.
Oh, just realized what you're referring to, duh.
FYI: I asked them to show the names of the cars.
Just like fallen flag cars, it adds a little more flavor as history rolls by.
There maybe a car that has YOUR NAME on it🤔.
Maybe your hometown, so quite complaining and learn something.
