I completely neglected explosive training up till now. I can do one arm push ups, but I can barely do a clapping push up. Explosive training is really something else.
Well if u can do like 30 push ups u can do the clapping ines easy, i have been training calisthenics for 3-4 months and i can do like 15 clapping ones, but i used to train push ups bef perhaps 1 year in total

10 years ago, In my mid forty's, I used to do pushup with clap and my feet would leave the ground too. (not intentionally) Never knew that I was doing something cool, I thought I was doing really nerdy erratic pushups🙃

no way!!? i just learnt these but i feel my arms still dont get high enough i get them to my ears but not completely vertical when i explode up from the push up

What do explosive push-ups work on exactly ?
Angel Sanchez you have more muscle breakdown because your muscles absorb the impact and deccelerate (not quite sure i have written that correctly) your body so you don't fall to the ground, you are still working chest, triceps, shoulders and core. Hope this has helped you :)
its just power, it wont be giving u the same strength as regular push up or bench press. theres different types of strength. like leg exercises and then u have box jumps for the power aspect.

whenever I max out my push ups a get a headache at the end, anyone know why?
Grant H more blood gets to your head because of your horizontal position and because of the elevation of your heart rate, nothing to worry about, although it is better if you don't max out so you can do more sets and avoid fast burn out of the muscles.
breathe, take ur type and dont do them too fast either. i doubt its the blood rushing to ur head, unless its a deep decline push up
