It'll be late December or pushed back to January if delayed.
@@AndySomething read the fine print
They may get it because they're a big outlet, but you can be sure normal customers won't be getting it.
For transparency's sake, every time Eve products are mentioned, reviewers should also mention the shady past of that company and the controversy surrounding them.
I can't believe anyone is putting money down for those things.. Seems insane to me
It will be a great screen and will come on time. Monitor supply chain and manufacturing is much easier to handle in comparison to what they attempted with Eve V.
I'm currently on the lookout for a monitor upgrade, this video is very helpful. Thanks.
Great to find a channel that keeps its viewers up to date on the best monitors available, especially when it comes to 4K gaming monitors. Just got an EVGA RTX 3090 XC3 ULTRA GAMING (got on queue to purchase by signing up for availability notification and 2.5 weeks later I got an e-mail allowing me to buy one), so looking to get a good 4K gaming monitor. Based on your reviews, just backordered an LG27GN950-B. Keep up the good work.
I just got an Omen 27i and wondering how that compares to the other 1440p ips panels you were talking about. Do you have any experience with it ?
It's basically exactly the same as the Dell S2721dgf, LG 27gl850, and Lenovo Y27q-20. They all use the exact same panel :)
@@jpesicka999 I am 100% sure the LG 27gl850, dell s2721dgf, Hp omen 27i, Lenovo y27q-20, and aoc ag273qxp all use the exact same panel with slight, albeit very negligible adjustments

Me: Actually thinking of how such a series could potentially do on youtube
I'd be VERY interested in a "deep dive" on G-Sync, FreeSync and Vesa Adaptive Sync inter-compatibility. All the monitor vendors who flag G-Sync seem to outright refuse to list the two others, yet plenty of people report compatibility. Are there compatibility rules that are always present, or is it a vendor-by-vendor or model-by-model type situation?
Nice job on the video, very informative and straight to the point. I like the concept of just detailing the best hardware.
Please look into getting an early review sample of the Eve Spectrum line! You're the only channel I trust to deliver accurate and unbiased monitor performance analyses. Thanks in advance!
I own a LG 27GL850 monitor as my main monitor and the colors on it are insane in motion and it's very responsive. However contrast ratio is very meh and you may or may not notice IPS glow.
The poor contrast ratio always kept me from buying one :/
Does it look normal on a well lit room?
The glow is noticeable on dark environment but the insane clarity in motion is more than worth it.
I have the LG 27GN950. Colours are amazing. Good contrast. I think it’s really good. Only minus is the grey/black, blacks are more like grey. I own a OLED laptop so this monitors greys/blacks are a step down. I would still recommend the LG monitor, it’s excellent

I just ordered the 34GN850 thanks to your advice!
Awesome video great job HU! Currently with a 34GK950F and it's awesome. Only downside is that for true 144hz response times then iirc then the wide gamut must be enabled. I just play with srgb and the slightly slower srgb for color accuracy. However after using a few hours of the high gamut color range, going back to srgb feels old school. A firmware update from LG limited srgb to 'fast' response times which to be honest I can't visually tell the difference between fast and fastest and I'm picky about fluidity and 'things of that nature'.
I got to say all monitors showed in this video look great on my almost 8 year old 24" TFT 1080p 60Hz screen.
Did you do a full review of the LG CX 48" OLED? I would love to see your detailed comparison to LCD monitors.
Nothing comes close especially if burn in is not an issue for you.
Burn in not even an issue if you game more than half the time.
@@aberkae Burn in is an issue for me sadly. I have a 4k tv that I forget about being on half the time in my bedroom, which gets 12+ hours of use every day. I would love to have an OLED screen though but, the burn in would be real for someone like me that is forgetful and leaves their stuff on 24/7 lol.
@@WyattOShea I believe there is something in the settings you can use to mitigate that. For me If I use my PC for a few hours a week I am lucky. Thus my risk is extremely low.
Look up reviews for its predecessor the LG C9 (this only came in a 55inch version at the smallest). The LG C9 beats every gaming monitor in every single category. The only thing you can fault it is that it is "only" 120hz (144hz doesn't really matter), and it doesn't have display port, where HDMI 2.1 is still hard to connect to since this year's graphics cards are just now coming out with it.
I've been super impressed with the Pixio PX329 you previously reviewed and recommended, but you are right. It may be time for an upgrade.

I have the 32GK650F from LG for its 32", because I have mine on the wall at slightly farther away than a desk mount, and it's absolutely amazing. It also allows me to have different backlight levels and settings in a different profile, so it's easy to switch at night. It's a fantastic VA screen for anyone wanting a 32" screen. Never ever heard of burn in reports from oleds past 2018, theres tests on some of the newer ones going 900hrs straight with no burn in.

Jeff Wiesneski do you like it? How does it perform?
Do you get the same issues the lg 27gl850 has? Like the backlight bleed blur or the bad contrast? I'm usually playing in a dark room and need a monitor that gets real dark in dark cines
How come RDNA2 over Ampere? I've no GPU and idk when AMD will release. If they announce 28th won't they release like 3 weeks later? That's ages. Ordering a 3080 would probably arrive sooner but 10GB might be an issue idk

Do we think the Eve Spectrum will actually launch? Pretty hesitant with the reputation of their prior company
@sbowesuk Was it a scam? I thought it was an issue with paypal on their end. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
@@AndySomething Anything to do with PayPal is dubious at best. Please watch Kirk Miller's videos on youtube, he details his frustrating experience being an early adopter for the Eve V, ordering 2 and to date receiving none. He also details Eve lying on their community updates, Eve's ties to a Chinese company that they tried to hide behind for the reason of many, many people not receiving their Eve V.
Hell Eve was even taken to court for being $1 million in debt, and they only escaped being forcefully declared bankrupt by claiming "We have a new product coming (Eve Spectrum) with lots of pre-order money, so we can still pay it back" (with the pre-order money that's supposed to go into building the monitors lol). I was really interested in this monitor 2 months ago but there's so much scammy bullshit swept under the rug with this company, their reddit is heavily moderated against anyone trying to call them out. Please heed my advice to avoid! Worst case if this product EVER comes to their customers, you can buy it then.
We need this type of video also for next-gen console's best monitors

I got an LG 27GN950-B a week or so ago, its a fantastic monitor and I can see the color difference clearly compared to my acer predator 1440p 165hz monitor. Only issue, which has become insanely annoying is the deep sleep bug where all your windows will move to your primary monitor every so often when your computer wakes up from sleep and you will have to rearrange everything. It is a superb monitor otherwise and mine has relatively low backlight bleed. Also the 1ms response time is a gimmick and unusable, u have to settle for the Fast setting which i believe is 2-4ms.
I appreciated the recommendation on not going for 1080P unless you're seriously competitive. Had a preorder in for the 360Hz ASUS that I had been hemming and hawing over since it was for 700 CAD.

Does it look stretched since natural resolution for 1440p is 27"? How much are you bothered by the curve?
@@milosv123344 Doesn't look stretched at all.
For me, I got used to the curve within a few hours of use. You can not notice it at all in games or videos. The only times it annoys me slightly is when doing 3D modelling. If you look at a flat plane from a certain angle it's slightly warped but it hasn't really been an issue in terms of achieving accurate results, plus if I'm ever unsure of something I could just double check it on one of my side monitors which are flat panels.
milosv123344 - 27” is a size, not a resolution. There are native 1440p 14” screens, 32”, 27”, etc.
@@TechWithSean I've compared 1920x1080 on a 24" and then on a 27" monitor, you can see the difference. The pixel density isn't that high on the 27". Now 2560x1440 on a 27" and a 32" would probably have the same thing going for it.
I wish i could feel the same, the more i use it the more i start to dislike it
I just purchased the LG GN950 a week or so ago. The monitor is amazing. Only thing is the IPS bleed in the lower left corner is bad but I can get over it. I run most games in 1440P right now because I am still on a 1080ti strix. The level of detail and colors are a huge jump from my 34 inch Alienware and my 27 inch 144hz 1440P Dell monitors.
Very happy owner of the lg27gl850. Best monitor I owned ever. Really thinking about upgrading to the LG34gn850 though..
I love the monitor reviews, but I really wish he would give more recommendations for 4k options. He always glosses over it in every video and I get it, but at least inform us viewers whats out there and how it performs vs the rest of the 1440p market so we can make an informed choice. A budget 4k monitor, a monitor they havent reviewed personally and is hard to find right now, and a rant about outdated HDR technology tells me what I shouldnt buy, but gives me no options
Next to no one actually has a 4k display or has the hardware for it. It's more niche than VR gaming. Most everyone is still at 1080p, only 6% of gamers use 1440p and above. It's hardly worth the time of any reviewer to really talk about 4k other than benchmarking.
@@evolicious I think that's very untrue and very anecdotal of you to say, and no idea where you got that statistic from but I've seen different times numbers that don't agree with that. 4k is a buzzword for people and it has plenty of users, and the tech is there now to make use of it more than ever. Also, if he's gonna take the time to benchmark dozens of videos over it, what is 3 to 4 more minutes in a video like this gonna hurt even if what you said is true? Lol. Let a consumer make an informed decision, even if the monitor benefit isn't something that works for you. It's not like we're talking about an 8K monitor in the 1000s of dollars lmao, there's many options here
I have a Xiaomi 34" paired with an RTX 3070. Match made in heaven.
Ye 3070 is really good for 1440p and 1440p Ultra-Wide. 100+ fps in most games, pretty much all the time. I get like 150 fps average in Warzone on my 3070 in 2560x1440 on max settings (max aa but no ray tracing). Only dip below 100 when in the plane when Performance is a bit wonky. As soon as I leave the plane fps never dip below 100 for the rest of the match. And the card is much quieter than my 1080 Ti was and performance is much better too, especially in newer titles.

@@giveuthebone Yeah, you're wrong. IPS is far superior when it comes to color.
The samsung odyssey g7 also has excellent color accuracy, it really is an exceptional monitor since it also has good contrast becuase va panel. www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/odyssey-g7
*LG CX 55'' here.*
Not changing this for ANY gaming monitor.
Just ordered one on Amazon, can't wait for it to come in on Wednesday!
Same with C9
I’m just curious, what’s your setup looking like? I mean you’re not at a desk if you’re using a 55 inch tv so do you game in a gaming chair a few feet from the tv or do you sit in a couch/recliner? I ask because I’m considering switching from PlayStation to a PC and am trying to decide if I want a monitor at a desk or a really big tv, say Samsung Q90T 85 inches. I have 2 OLEDs, 55 B6 and 65C7, but I had issues with burn in on the C7 so I don’t wanna go that route with a gaming tv haha
@@jamesadkinsiii7925 All protection against burn in activated ?
On my C9 almost 1 year of PC Gaming on it, and no issue at this time.
I uses two desk of distance
@@jamesadkinsiii7925 It's a desk actually...something IKEA with big metal T looking legs. The legs are a white T, but upside down. It's big...but I'm still right in front of the TV :D
I wanted the 48'' model, but in my country they said that MAYBE they will have it some time in 2021 and I was like meh, I'm buying the 55'' then. It's super immersive for some tasks and bad for others...but I like it. I also have consoles and stuff and I'm an artist sooo this big screen could be a good thing. I hope my eyes can handle it tho. I've been in front of a 40''+ TV for the past...11 years. What's 15''+ more... :D But tbh...43'' is the maximum in my opinion...for this close as I am. It's just that...gaming monitors with those specs and around 43'' either don't exist or cost more than a car AND they don't make OLEDs so small...So I guess...if they ever start selling the 48'' LG CX in my country, I'll sell the 55'' and buy it. I also got the 55'' at a 30% discount so...selling it wont be a huge loss for me. But let's see, I might get used to it.
Nice content. I bought LG 27GL83A and it is really a great deal. Thank you so much!
That was a nice Video and all, but don't you forget that future Game's will be more demanding?
As they are optimized (for the most part) for the new Console's.
I heard some rumors that Dr. DisRespect is a little jealous about that moustache !?
Really? Lol
Who?

The Omen X 27” is 1440p240hz, you should test that one
they've already done a review on the X27 10 months ago. their review is what pushed me to buy it recently lol
Why would you want a TN panel when there are 1440p 240hz IPS and VA displays? TN is a dying breed.
@@BotsHateMe TN is faster with less blurring. All of these G2G response time numbers are with pixel overdrive. Which smears and ruins the image. Physics dictate why TN will always be the fastest. No amount of innovation can change that. Until OLED and micro LED become available.
@@BotsHateMe TN also doesn't suffer glow/bleed so much as other panel techs. Some of us still prefer it.
SUPERMAN LIFT Thanks for the helpful explanation.
Thank you for your hard work! Much appreciated :)
PLEASE do a review on the Monoprice Dark Matter 34" monitor. There are no reviews for it, and it seems the brightness is better than other comparable monitors and it has Quantum Dot.
Alienware 34” Ultrawide (AW3420DW) is the most beautiful screen out there.
Seeing as how I've just bought one I agree. Can't wait till 2023 when I can get a 3080 to run it properly :)
Steeleye 2112 Lucky, I’ve got estimated shipping 03/08/2030
13:40 low cost ultrawide 144hz the Gigabyte G34WQC is a good competitor for the Xiaomi, if not better.
Unfortunately they havent reviewed it. No one respectable has...
Would love to see a comparison between the
Gigabye the xiaomi and the iiyama (GB3466WQSU-B1)
What about that cheap AOC?? How does that compare, iirc Hardware Canucks reviewed it
Sushim Shah I know the iiyama is better than the aoc. I’ve seen a direct comparison by a dutch reviewer. The iiyama compared with the gigabyte and xiaomi I’m not so sure which one is the best choice.
@@cornevangulik6166I've never heard of that brand though, tbh I won't buy the Xiaomi either. That is if I were in the market to buy new h/w in the first place.
I've been running the LG 32GK650-F that you guys used to use for video communication while filming, it's been an amazing experience and my 2070 Super handles most 1440p High FPS gaming like a champ. Only downside is incompatibility with my Xbox One X, which refuses to let me use 1440p 120 Hz even when using an HDMI 2.1 cable. Makes me hesitant to grab a Series X right away, if I can't get 1440p 120 on the console then I have no reason to buy it...
Really looking forward to the Dell S2721DGF review, in the UK it's £389.99 down from £487.50 Saving £97.51 (20%)
and there's a 15% student discount floating about as I've just used it £331.49 is an absolute bargain, upgrading from an AOC Q3279VWFD8.
Will the S2721DGF review be on Patreon first too?
I will recommend LG's OLED 4K HDR TVs.
120 hz, 4K, OLED (superior to LCD) and real HDR. If you have the ability to use a fairly large TV, this is superior for immersion and AAA and AA and indie/old games than ANY other LCD gaming panel by far. It also is better for competitive gaming thant 120-144hz LCD panels, but not as good as 1080p 360hz or 1440p 240hz for that.
IMO it's too big for anything competitive
Did you seriously just recommend a TV for competitive gaming?
Big screens are awesome for immersive casual games, but NOT competitive ones. No matter how good the display is.
@@GewelReal your too big
I’d recommend the Samsung. I have The last gen Q8 and i honestly on weekends drag my PC into the lounge and grab a remote and game on it instead of the HDR 32inch 144hz IPS ultra wide 3440x1440 monitor I have. The thing is 120hz, HDR10, variable refresh rate, very good input lag and is 65inches, immersion wise it’s amazing.
@@GewelRealI have 43" Acer Predator cg437kp and pity there are not gaming OLEDs with 38 - 44" screens. This Acer is great, especially contrast ratio is amazing, but colours are nothing special and 4K144Hz mode does not work properly. There is a lot of stuttering and GSYNC is also not working. 4K120Hz works perfectly and games are still buttery smooth :)
me who doesnt even have a 1080p monitor: *fastest click in the west*
Just bought the LG 34GP83A-B, the refreshed/updated version of the LG 34gn850-b. same monitor but 200$ cheaper, at $799. it arrives tomorrow. cant wait to experience it. I currently run 3x benq gw2760hs 1080p/60hz/5ms/va monitors. this is gonna be a massive upgrade.
Thanks for your suggestions as always! I have been quite curious about Benq model EX2780Q. Can you please review this model and share your feedback. Would really appreciate that!
Its an amazing monitor and the same response time as lg27gl850

Fair warning, if you wish to use g-sync please be aware of the issues on the Samsung G7 monitors.
it has horrid Backlight flicker/flashing when G-sync is active.
Martin Pedersen it’s fixed now on the latest G7s. Just bought one and it’s working perfect!!
Perfect timing with my 3080. Thank you!
I got the LG UltraGear 34GN850 as he mentioned and I recommend this to everyone. Its so awesome. With a nice black friday discount this monitor is just a must buy!
LG CX 48" is the best :p
Edit : You do mention it
and it's cheap asf compared to smaller monitors
don't comment without watching the video
It's too big. Not only for comfortable monitor distance viewing but just the PPI is too low. Many people are argue "what is the point of going 4k if your display is too small" but I would argue the opposite. What is the point of upgrading to 4k only to end up losing Pixel density in the process. 40" is the absolutely maxium I would go since it has at least the same PPI 1440p 27inch but really I would want it to be sharper.
Kris where did you get that info from? The 48” has the highest pixel density amongst the cx linup: “pixel density of 8 million pixels, which the company says offers density comparable to an 96-inch 8K set”. The clarity is one of the best.
@@danielvelkovski3156 Do you know what pixel density is? It's the highest density in the line up because it's the smallest. 1440p 27" is a higher density, it matters at monitor distance, it will look less sharp.
All I want is a 32" 144hz 4K screen... and preferably not priced at 3000 dollars
Make that oled and we have a deal
Saw plenty for 6-700 used on ebay.
For some reason they need to be bundled with HDR 100000 and g-sync utimate with more led zones than pixels that cost both kidneys.
Not till end of next year at least till something like that comes out and it’ll be $1500.
Kris Cause it’s in high demand so they add all the other stuff to rack up prices.
Hey can you guys review the Benqex2780q. Great video as always!
LG's 34" 850N has lowered in price quite a bit over here since release and I just ordered mine. It arrives on tuesday. Pretty stoke after seeing all the positive comments and reviews about it.
