A note at 45min in - You said you cannot take pinning checks more than once per phase. That is not correct, any time someone shoots you with pinning you check. A single unit however cannot cause multiple pinning checks (if they somehow had multiple pinning weapons). But different units shooting can cause pinning checks to the same unit multiple times

Those mechanicum models are lovely. Hoping GW add Dark mechanicum to 40K as well - would be a great way to flesh out some shenanigans with Chaos Knights too (which I’m still waiting to see you play Winters!) ;)

59:48 explosions hits don't have to go on Saul unless he's the only eligible moddle to be hit same with Sargent's because it's distributed same as shooting. You don't have to put it on the individual moddle hit you just can only remove moddles that were hit so you don't have to take saves on the characters form explosions

I always overcharge my reactor on the plasma mortar and roll the max damage to myself. Glad to see it's not just me

1:53:26 not to be pedantic, but only Angron was on Istvaan iii surface. Mortarion and Horus were in their ships above the planet and Fulgrim was prepping defenses on Istvaan v.
We know from the short story, Little Horus, that it was the last time Horus himself deployed, and Mortarian confirms he was on the planet, but I forget in which book. Fulgrim didn't go down there though
Without knowing all the ins and outs, the Horus Heresy ruleset seem to be my kind of game. Now I just want some type of initiative value combined with dice rolls so everyone gets to fire at the same time but semi-randomized order, allowing for even more tactics, instead of the whole "one side fires everything at once".
40k mechanicum desperately needs the HH aesthetic. This army is the coolest looking army imo.
Could someone please tell how Automata models do a reaction. Automat models can't react because of the Automata rule and been fearless. I'm I missing something?

You can use eldar in heresy, there are community rules for them. the rules are called "liber antiquia"
How do you get that bronze/copper look for the Admech? It looks close to the one from your tutorial years ago, but a bit less red to the metallic color. Thinking of going for the "Duracell" color scheme but for Tau.
Is the same from my tutorial years ago with one exception - shake the nuln oil.

Ah, these HH batreps are much better than 40k ones. I cannot watch 40k's due many reason (mainly due rules like oath of moment, invul and mortal wounds everywhere etc..). For some reason HH rules feels right.
I stayed with 7th ed 40k, and although I stayed with hh1.0 vs 2.0. The 1.0 battles feel more 40k compared to the newer editions.
