    You’re pretty spot on with your pros and cons! I’ve been doing this for over 18yrs. I’ve been working acutes now for over 4 years and Im the only tech on the floor, it’s run by RNs. I love my nurses because they appreciate me so much, it really makes me feel appreciated! In the chronic clinics, I feel like techs against techs is STRONG, it’s not like that in acute.

    • @imeboni
      @imeboni  Před rokem +3

      Oh wow. I would advise to at least know how to open or close. Both is great because it can help your team but as an RN if yall happen to be short staffed…that’s gonna be ALOT on you. Support your techs as or if they support you and yall will soar as a team.

    Good morning sis.Hope you dont mind me calling you that. Im a PCA.Iwent back to school to be a CNA in 2020. And completed a course as an Administrative Medical Front Office Assistant 2021. Both at Health Tech of Ga. I honestly need to brush up on my typing and computer skills. I saw the information for DaVita the other day. I'm 53 years young. this job seems to be really hard. I've never stuck anyone with a needle. I thought about learning how to do this. its very intense like you said. I enjoy people, especially the elderly. I used to be a hospice cna a long time ago. Thanks for expelling pros and cons. My mind says yes I want to learn how to do this but I don't know lol. I don't want to think its too hard for me. if it requires heavy repetition of lifting, I. can't do it. Anyway God bless your and your family and work family to stay strong mentally and physically in Jesus' name. The joy of the Lord is your strength. You and your bay partner do a great job. Love you hunny.

      There is only heavy lifting when its time to do granuflo because you have to bring the bags up to the tank to dump them. And thats maybe once a week depending on your clinic. I won’t lie and say the job aint hard but it has its rewarding days! I work with women in there 50s & 60s even but that’s because they love what they do..if you feel the job can be to much maybe try being an AA or working as a PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE those are more office based and require little to no physical labor!
