  • Burrow bed, Snuggle bed, Pocket pet bed, Pet bed with cover, this fun DIY tutorial is easy to follow and your pets will love it!
    This bed is great for ferrets, bunnies, rats, cats, hedgehogs, chinchillas, small dogs, and even large dogs!
    The bed can be made in any size or shape. I made mine for ferrets and when it was done it measured
    18” x 16”. I cut my fabric 19.5” x 17.5” to account for seam allowance.

    I love your new idea. I have guniea pigs would this be okay for them.

      It should be fine for guinea pigs! The materials in the bed are the same as the materials in a cuddle cup and I have made a few of those for my friends guinea pigs with no problems!

    I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on a guinea pig couch if you know how to sew them. I’m also thinking about making one of these so thanks 😊

      @@FerretTails ya know the ones with the flat backs? I’m not smart enough to make a pattern 😅

      @@bobbyjoe6365 I will try to figure it out. As crazy as this sounds, a lot of the stuff I make, I make for the first when I’m doing the tutorials. That’s why some of my stuff takes so long to get added to my Esty shop. I won’t add anything until I’ve made the item several times and I know the quality is good enough to sell. 😂

    Can I ask what sewing machine you use? It looks so nice!

    • @FerretTails
      @FerretTails  Před 3 lety +1

      It’s a Bernina 475. It’s amazing, but really expensive. I decided to buy it after opening my Esty shop. I needed a machine that could withstand daily sewing of thick bulky material, like fleece lol. Prior to that I used the Singer Quantum Stylist 9960 and I loved it. I still have it, I use it as my backup.

      @@FerretTails yeah, my current machine is a cheap janome and while it gets the job done it definitely doesn't handle thicker loads of fleece well (more than 2 or 3 pieces really) but definitely considering upgrading!

    • @FerretTails
      @FerretTails  Před 3 lety +1

      I started with a free singer tarsi on someone gave me and after a while I needed something that could handle thicker fabric. The singer quantum stylist could definitely handle thick layers, but because if the insane amount of sewing I do now, I needed something more durable. The pressure on the foot pedal on the Bernina is adjustable. I can increase or decrease the pressure, which allows me to sew through thick fabric with no issues at all. It’s absolutely my favorite feature! I was even able to stop using the walking foot.

      That was supposed to say singer tradition

      Do you have any tips for sewing thicker pieces (like multiple layers of fleece) for the broke college kids out here that can’t afford a better sewing machine yet?😅😂 Should I just sew at a slower speed?

    Can u use a heavy duty sewing machine? That is the only type of sewing machine I have
