Being a Mobile Mechanic is Super Fun! I get to fix cars and travel around for work. Here's what a day is like as a mobile mechanic.
Help support fixing more cars of some less blessed by supporting my donated time or parts.

Thanks for the sponsor! Thats what makes these videos possible!
*** I know I'm having some mic issues. Im saving up for a Bluetooth mic to get a nice quiet background and good quality audio.
Thanks for all the love!
@@RoadsideRescue Its awesome to see you back brother. Take care
@@semperfimechanic agree with that Thomas
Hey man, I’m totally onboard with you doing more vids, you always are honest and you don’t hide the reality of what really happens in the field. Thanks Bud!
Definitely agree 👍
Ernest: Great Video. Your son is so precious. Hope everything is going well for you and your family.
I see you got fiber cut off disks. Something that I’ve used that has been amazing are the metal, diamond blade cut off wheels. Usable for tons of cuts and no shattering
Do they just become smooth with no teeth once dead? I've seen loads of them over the years but always been scared of one shattering. I've even seen wood blades for angle grinders! No thanks
Keep up the good work! Your videos are extremely entertaining
Another great video! Good job, and I hope the motor doesn't burn out on the electric toy car! You should do a tutorial on that. I'd love to do it for my niece/nephews!
Great job keeping your patience and working through the problem. Midwest vehicles tend to be the hardest to work on.
I don’t understand why you don’t have a lot more subs.Your content is great.
I like the videos before even watching them 😂
Me too cause I know he's a honest hard working patient person so he always gets a like before the ending of the video
Subscribed. You seem like a really good guy and dad.
Good days worth of honest work
Is there a Municipal Dump in your area?
Go look for a dead kid car or truck like what you have.
Saws-all it, make a "trailer" o to behind.
Carry extra batteries, refreshments, etc.
Those Teslongs are the real deal btw. As a professional mechanic, I traded my shit 600 dollar snap on borescope for that $100 Teslong and MAN -- what a difference in clarity/rigidty. Great tool, especially for the price.
hey im just confused, his link brings a $300 camera, whats the $100 one you got?
I just bought a Depstech bore scope, so far, it's been great. Dual camera, dual screen, takes still pics, video recording, was only about $120 on Amazon
Yo dude, nice to see you still working hard and ur not so consumed with work you still have quality time with your family bro.. The place you guys live looks beautiful, is it Utah? 👍
Appreciate the video
Good video. 👍
Another great video 👍 👍
good video again thanks
So cool with the modification.
Awesome video even better ending
Build a top for it, attach a solar charger. Constant trickle charge.
baby Ernest driving cars 😄
hope you got a nice time with your family
🥰
I play Disc Golf also. Took it back up this last fall. Last time I plated consistently was 1991-1993. Great guy, family, and automotive videos. I've enjoyed seeing the channel and your family grow since early on.
That's awesome! It's just the best! thank you
I believe they make a aftermarket control box for those power wheels so you can adjust the power when you use power tool batteries. Either way great video!
Be safe out there man hope you get paid good.
That looks so crazy hot!!
Amazed to see that bolt wasn’t rusted in the threads. Wonder what the next step would have been if it was.
Nothing like trying to work on something that someone else messed up!
I am glad I moved out of Illinois. I feel you with those rusty seized bolts. Not that east coast is any better but Chicago cars were just a mess. Good job man.
Looks like someone put some permanent thread locker on that bolt. Can't hold if it's melted haha 😆
Good video glad it came up I haven't seen one from you in a while. Have you tried the gear wrench bolt bitters yet ? They have become my friend
That power wheels mod is cool you can get a 3d printed battery holder so you can change those Milwaukee batteries out when you need to
Man I wish you were located in south Florida my car just broke down.
God bless you ...
I recently replaced front brake pads on a 2015 Ford fusion s was pretty easy to do
Braver man than me, no way I’d work on that much rust outside of the garage
Love me some Disc Golf
Damn the alternator from hell I would have had to toss in the towel I can't do heat and sweat and noise and getting my arms scrapped up on wire brackets and clips I would have been so angry and people never seen to understand that and don't pay way more than they think they should for a job like that so now I know to avoid this specific kind of vehicle but you Ernst have way more mental stability and patience than I do so job well done 👍
Was that a disc golf patch in your truck? My man!
Hey man been awhile since I caught your videos any update news on the FedEx truck ?
could you make a video of how you started out i was into mechanics and good at it but hated working for someone else i have my own tools and a truck just need help getting started and tips
It's a pita to get started cause you'll discover some people Will lie about being able to pay only so much or give a story or helicopter over you as you work so you'll need to have the mental stability and patience before anything else happens
Man I got a real shop when I hear the costumer has been working on it I tell them up front tow it to me if I see you made a huge mess I will simply deny repair I do try my best but I don’t Waste a lot it time I had one customer show up needing heel bearings it showed up on a tow Trudk eith the steering knuckles damaged I Said no man I’ll get you some used parts or not messing with it they did that’s too expensive I said call ur toe truck that’s why I respect you
I would hate to touch something after someone else goobered it up
Had a customer that would always have us (the shop) diagnose something, then he go home to fix it himself.... irritated the hell out of me. Anyway, told him he needed either a heater core or evaporator (don't remember which), he takes it home, 3 days later (it's a Chevy cobalt or similar) tows it back in w the steering column 1/2 way out the dash in pieces, he's taken tons of stuff apart he didn't need to, asking us to finish the job, ofoh, and all the screws, bolts, etc just thrown in a box....AND THEN gets mad because we're charging him full boat labor plus some to do it. Some people....
I feel the ryobi pblrc25 extended reach ratchet and one of those extractor bolt biters would have done the trick with an adapter between the two obv. I love my ryobi 3/8” extended reach ratchet. Gives around 70 lbs/ft of torque easily.
Then I have the p263 1/2” impact which puts the 850 dollar snap on mid torque impact to shame.
Did you hammer the bolt extractor onto the bolt? Because you really have to pound them on for them to be effective.
I'm curious how owning a mobile mechanic business compares to an independent shop (I assume you own this business as well as being the mechanic). Having to go in blind to a problem requires a far higher level of problem solving skills and unusual ability to stay calm during a stressful situation. You also must deal directly with customers which is a completely different skill set from being an auto mechanic. Lastly you must have the skills to run a business AND run successful marketing, or offload those jobs to your spouse or a business partner. Only individuals with a high IQ and a highly flexible personality can pull this off. If you are JUST a very good auto mechanic then failure is pretty much guaranteed. I'd love to see a separate channel or blog series about everything not related to turning a wrench because that is what makes you special and is your competitive advantage.
Hey, I had got a new serpentine belt and tensioner after I had switched the belt and had to replace the pulley after, when u put the new belt and tensioner and out it all together it’s quiet on start but squeaks when I pick up speed. Could it be a dry new belt (dirt/ dust) was everywhere or could it be a bad idler pulley
I'm not done watching but should just brake the aluminum from around the bolt?
What happened to the big truck
It needs to be fixed it's a big job to get a engine light that repaired if I had to replace my 4.2 L V6 Essex engine on my 98 Ford e250 it would take at least 3 days to do it non stop
Where is the best place to advertise
1:22 if only you had compressed air and a air hammer
I have seen alot of strange things when fixing semi trucks and cars but that alt pulley cut of is really odd to see.
The van is looking sweeet. Must be nice to drive an old girl like that, you'll probably be her last owner.
Why would you cut the pulley off lol
It probably is from all of the salt they use on the roads in WI.
Definitely is
