A lot of shops are all GO-GO-GO-GO. I worked at a
shop where we were given 1hr. If we had not
diagnoses the cause and we were working on the
fix in 1hr we were to call the shop foreman over
and he would decide whether to apply more
resources (more exp tech or call the factory, ect)
OR, push it out the shop and call the customer
saying it could not be fixed or we could not find
the problem. SO impatient this shop was.
    !

Nowadays shops just want to guess and then charge the customer, and if their guess is wrong they want to charge the customer again. In today's world a lot of shops seem to want to avoid taking any responsibility for their actions and words.

Most people don't realize how important good audio is. Your video can have a ton of issues and some people will care. But if your audio is jacked up, everyone will care and not in a good way. It's why there are audio podcasts but no videos without audio. Even in the silent film days in the early 20th century, local theaters would hire piano players and bands to play along.

WD-40, by its nature, is designed to remove oil, grease, and other watery substances from solid surfaces. The key to this nature is the hydrocarbons present in its chemical formula. It's the same stuff you'd find in chemical solvents.
Here's where the problem arises - hydrocarbons can't mix with plastic polymers. If one is introduced to the other, then the chemical bonds of the polymer start breaking down. In layman's terms, if you spray a plastic object with WD-40 and leave it for a while, the object will start softening and breaking down, until it eventually becomes so brittle that it snaps.

Ernest, is your background all on the job, school, or a mix of a lot of reading, you tube videos, and experience. From your comments it seems you and Scanner Danner are very similar in knowledge with a slight edge to Scanner Danner (he's older). From a technician viewpoint it is always easier to fix something when you understand the theory behind how systems work. Lacking theory produces the infamous parts cannon morons at dealerships.

Hi from down under, a question. I have a v6 alloytech in a commodore, its throwing an engine light and shutting down. Afer a small time it will let me restart. But it will only run a min or 2 then cut out again..the funny thing is the check engine light blinks on n off fast. When it does i can hear the throttle body clicking in and out. Doesnt give me a definitive code. Any thing like this come your way? Btw usually the next day i can drive it again. Can be good for days and weeks till it does it again. Very frustrated
