Hi Scott, we met many years ago on one of your first photowalks in DC with Matt and Jeff R. I had been working on a book in Lightroom for well over a year. Completed the image pages and working on stories and texts. Before leaving on a recent trip I shut down my external hardrives and Mac. Upon my return all my Collections were gone as well as my book. I have searched on-line in many forums but my efforts to retrieve the book has been futile. This was my first book using Lightroom as I have always made books within mpix where I know it is safely stored and accessible. Any suggestions on how to retrieve, and if I have lost the book, what would you suggest I do differently. I do back up regularly both locally and in the cloud, but nothing I seem to do allows for seeing my collections again. Poof! I recently saw a Kelby short that said never create a second Lightroom catalogue, which I only recently did after seeing a suggestion I do so elsewhere. I think I corrupted my own work. I'm back to a single catalogue. Hard lesson learned. Thx for listening.
