But thingvis only teo on duty night time or mot what about toilet if someone dosent drink fluid gor hours dehydration can vonfuse uou so even I know what that feels like as ive a bad habit of not drinking enough water, or a controller on night duty collapsing then what would happen let your colleague die and see to planes I'd imagine it dosent happen aclot now flights are getting busy again after lockdown but thatvpoor controller dshould have just gone to answer csll of nature then back to control toom do he was there to assist but that fact was down to their managers to sort out which I hope in post incident investigation was raised

Great video, be careful with the « what if » scenarios. You are discussing situations that never happened with the benefit of hindsight as you already know the outcome. Multiple systemic factors along the ATCO actions were part of the underlying causes of this disaster.

A year and a half before the Überlingen mid-air collision, a similar Japan Airlines mid-air incident occurred in Japan.
Fortunately, the Japanese pilots were able to avoid the accident due to their last-minute maneuvering.
However, the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) was slow to act on this case and did not share it with the rest of the world.

I calculated how long it would take the DHL to completely slice through the BTC and came up with 0.01 seconds. That is based on an estimated 500mph covering 11.9 ft. If anyone happened to stay conscious during the collision--they would have had no idea what happened.
The TU154 would have passed from nose to tail in front of the 757 in 0.21 seconds at 500mph (I imagine it was likely 600 mph). Imagine the incredible odds it took to even collide!!!! Less than a quarter of a second separated life and death! 😭

a mistake, no matter how bad, as long as it wasn't because of evil intent, is not enough to warrant being murdered in front of your family

To be fair there should have been teo in control room full stop i eould have thought thed always hsve 3 controllers on duty for such necessaties like toilet break, basically he should have got other controller and say i need you back, now especially if both ATC know the system needed close monitoring due to maintaince, i ferl sorry for that controller who was left to do work of two people, i should think he did come back yo his seat
