Great checklist!, I just finished up degreasing my drive train and applying squirt lube for the first time and noticed you using it in this vid. I'm pretty hyped to test it. The chain feels amazing
@@sydfixesbikes Ha, even more hyped now to ride it tomorrow! Thanks for the awesome content! Wishing you all the best and good recovery for the both of you!
You can generally just push them back out using a plastic tire lever. Although it's better to remove the bleed screw on the lever and put the bleed funnel on before pressing the pads out.
Very nice. I ride about 5 days a week during non snow months. I certainly don’t do this everyday but over the course of a week I more or less cover them all. I do my chain everyday - degrease and wax dip once a month (Oz) followed by Rock N Roll Extreme blue daily/nightly. Smooth as a buttered baby’s behind. Those who joke here are the buttholes begging for help endlessly along the trails broken down with no tools 😂
Sorry but, as an avrage biker i do not have the time necesarry to do that everyday after and before every ride , and also the cost of bike care products really adds up over time
Regular maintenance ends up being less expensive in the long run and makes the bike perform better. Once you get used to checking to make sure things are functioning properly as you get ready to ride it takes less than a minute and then maybe 2-3 mins after the ride to lube your chain. And not noticing and having to fix it on the trail is much more time consuming.
What’s nice about riding a 20 year old mtb is that I don’t have to care about my hydraulic brakes needing a bleed, or my rotors rubbing, because I have good old fashioned clamp breaks
Yeah, we've been doing some CZcams shorts (sub 1-min videos) that we aren't pushing out to our subscribers because we don't want to overload people's feeds (we've been doing a bunch of them). We'll still be doing our usual Sunday videos though and you'll see those in your subscription feed!
Others doing all these tests before riding a bike.
Me : checks if seat is their and tire not puncture then ready for 100 kms
omg thats so slow imagine not going at 100.1 kms 😂😂😂
lmao my checklist consists of;
does it go forward?
does it turn? (optional)
does it stop? (optional)
ahahahah lol
My checklist
1: tire flat?
If no, we good to go
Frr
I wish I could just have this in my playlist for future reference
You can
me who just makes sure my wheels still spin some what decently
-Does all steps, -runs out of daylight before starting. "Alright, I'll have to start at 6am tomorrow."
When i go into first gear my derailleur bags against my spokes lol
You have bended rear mech hanger or mech itself most likely
Needs L limit adjust if your derailleur ain't bent. Plus if it's bent you wouldn't be able to get into the highest gear
Top work 👍👍👍

Only time i actually check my bike is when i have a park day other than that i just send it and its gotten me in to some trouble😂
Remember your ABCs
Air
Brakes
Chain
i went on a ride and was half way on a 7 mile trail before i noticed that i dont have my gloves on, how can i even remember all this😅
I hope someday i have a mtb likes yours🙏
I wish i have a bike like that😂
I do this...once a year, at the beginning of summer.
Ive done all the tests now i can go to local market for dome yogurt
That chain lube you use your supposed to put one drip on every little bump in the chain it’s on the bottle
Good advice, but how often do you realistically do these checks?
We don't go through the full check every ride, but do generally test just of these things (especially brakes) before riding.
How do you open your pads up wider if someone grabbed your front break when your tire was off.
You can generally just push them back out using a plastic tire lever. Although it's better to remove the bleed screw on the lever and put the bleed funnel on before pressing the pads out.
All is fun but u should check ur hair they almost got into the gear pls be careful
You dont need to do any of this!
Anything wrong with your bike will become clear while riding 👌🏻
LOL 🤣🤣
Lol
I want to challenge the fact that you said "if necessary lube chain". YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BE DOING THAT
Ima do this with my mechanical disk brakes.😖
Omg that would take so long 🤣
New subs here..

If you do some trailing I recommend getting disc brakes, seriously they're more powerful
@@beans392 I know, I almost killed myself downhill and I’m working to get the money for either adding disks or buying a new bike
Those things are a pain in the buttocks though
@@adamlittle4538 oh yeah fs

This one doesn't show up on my subscription list.
