That walkthrough mid discussion at 11:46 was an epic no-F$#@'s given moment.
David Kuhn like a boss
Half hour video all the work and meh I'm not walking round 😆😆😆😆😆
Tipical english lass... no wonder the English occupied and conqoured the whole globe... they weren't doing it for glory... they were trying to escape specimen like this one 🤣🤣🤣
She was like, “Yamaha is shit.”
she can easily walk behind the camera but she didnt.
Worse thing about all this Euro regulation bollox is it's bad for the engine.. The amount of emissions from motorcycles is so tiny compared to cars and even more industrial outputs & aircraft it's an absolutely farce imo
Great video however of course 🙏
Couldn’t agree more dad
1) Bikes are like 1.5 gens behind cars in terms of EU emissions and
2) Since Euro 3, ave ltr sportsbike power output has actually increased
But don't let facts bother you honey.
Absolutely true
It has absolutely nothing to do with carbon footprint. It's about bilking as much disposable income from the public as possible. Every decade it's a new made-up threat. First aerosol cans were creating a hole in the ozone, then it was cars, now it's cows. Wake up. If they were really serious about dealing with it, China and India industrialization would be rewound back into the 1500's.
Lamb Chop Rides complete sense as always LC 👌
When that woman walked through it was like a Police Squad moment 😂
Hahaha…. I was expecting it to be one of the Monster Energy girls….but no.
I've been waiting for this. All the other channels rush to put out pure empty calorie BS a day or two after the launch, but I knew this was coming. The good stuff. Love you guys.
Ignored the other reviews until 44’s is out. Your insights are worth the wait!
Gents, while I always enjoy your more "entertaining" content, I sometimes struggle with the pure "informative" content.
This managed to be the best of both worlds, bloody brilliant!
Was that Zoe from PR walking past? At least a ten pinter!
The standard of groupies has really slid since the noughties - she wasn’t even wearing gold hot pants🤘
@@whittlad Dont think there is enough gold to make them hotpants........
Chris's girlfriend crosses Cam @ 11.46
What a snacc
Sinematographers ....😂)))))))👍🏽
I wish they all could be California girls.
Don't make fun of her! I'm sure she's very nice.
I had a bad boy bubby moment
Great video and review. Good mix of commentary and on bike action, keep it up!
Guys, these (all your) videos are amazing. Simply love 'em.
Your videos just get better and better. Love it
What every aerodynamic engineer wants to achieve in his lifestyle: design a line that will run through someone's ballbag.
And here I am still riding my 2010 R1. Totally loving every bit of it. 😈
RidewithMuscles 👍 every generation R1 is epic in their own right. In 2006 I bought a new '06 and I LOVED IT, until I saw your gen, the '09 was such an amazing bike and ill never forget seeing my first '09 In person but moreso HEAR,.the guy had a full system , not cats and that crossplane sound changed everything for me!😍. Then going to the '15,..my personal favorite now the latest gen and SO much of it is the CP4,..with a system it's such an amazing sound. Sadly at 41 and a back injury from a Ducati I can't daily a sportbike anymore , after 26 years! Broke my heart ,...unnnnnntil the MT10 was announced to come out and I thought I'd never say it but, of all my sportbikes ive LOVED,..my modified MT10 had easily become my favorite, that cp4 tuned for the MT10 making more torque that the r1 and way down low was life changing . A comfortable "r1 " that just wants to be on its rear wheel. Lol with a little work it's been an amazing track day bike too. Shocks a lot of the other guys here when out. Hang onto that '10❤️️👍
@@MZ-bl6wg I will mate, happy riding 😁👍
You guys are just the best at this game, thanks Chris &Al for doing what you do. Epic thanks 🙏
Think I’ll just buy the 2020 race fairings for my 18 and save mega bucks 😂😂😂
Zeebo1uk are they gonna fit mate?
15:09 “We’ll put it up on the screen” *literally puts it on the screen in the background 😂
For it having 4 cats in the standard exhaust has a good noise to it, great video guys
Sweet lines, Chris!
And thanks for keeping the catwalk in.
Best motovlog channel, watching from the Philippines more power!
Awesome review as usual! top notch stuff. I'm also getting some of those V02's fitted this week for my next trackday should be fun to try them out for the first time :)
As per usual. Hitting the like button before the vid even starts and the ads are playing. 💪🏾 Never disappointed.
Yeah I love those ads too
They should have a "Race Key" when its used the dash only show RPM and temp, and oil etc. And most of all De-actives ABS.
My Favourite Bike Channel by miles!!!
I don't Wana like it coz got 44 likes. Bro
Best reviews as always 👌🏻 top job ... can you do a comparison test between an original 98 R1 and this model ? Compare the old school "organic" feel Vs this modern flying ECU 👌🏻👌🏻
Gotta love the oblivious cow just sauntering through the shot like it’s the thing to do. 😂
Been Waiting for this video... awesome review as always! You could have told us more about "ZOE PR" lol
That "good morning" was just exquisite 👌
Oh my god.. this bike is already 5 years old.. Time really flies
Thank you for making this video bro
Another great video fellas! 💯
Great video - will there be any BVG content with the RSV4 coming our way? One can only hope...
Sue Perkins always gets to go to the best press launches
That GYTR Version is delicious 😋
4 cats now? Poor things will need to remove and released into the wild
The Mover fucking environmentalist nutcases
Euro 5 should 5 cats. How on earth did they approve !
That is a sick bike! I love it. The sound of the engine with a cross-plane crankshaft is soo good!
Definitely the best sounding bike. Thanks for the comprehensive review guys👍🍺🇦🇺
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love it when you two punked by the cleaner walking in front of the camera. She properly gave you the finger. Top vid guys.
Best sounding inline 4 ever made
Loved the review
Love your work and channel. Also love the music you use. What are the piano tunes you use?
Standard blue version looks really nice
Finally a real review on the new R1!!!!!
Your review was so much better than the other channels.
Sometimes I wonder what crappy brakes would feel like, as I ride V4S with Vesrah race pads and not ever did I feel any remote issues of any kind. Nor ABS is an issue, level 2 or level 1, level 3 is a bit dangerous for sure. Brembo must be that much better
For that price they could at least have solved the brake fade issues, or opted for decent Brembo's...
Is 19plus Year’s now they have said brakes are wooden? So I’m with you set of Brembos jobs a good in, sorted.
My scrambler has better brakes.
@@AirwolfBMG Problem is most superstock race series do not permit changing out the calipers which is a major annoyance for club racers
Looks like the same front calipers from the MT09 and Tracer 900.
Dawn Moon I don't get it, every year from 15 and up, I keep waiting for the next update to hear it's fixed but nope. On my '15 and '17 MT10 I found a simple pads upgrade helped a LOT! Buuuuut having owned a bunch of Ducatis , I compare everything to their brembos and there's just no other option. Why yamaha won't just add it I can't underand!??! EVERY REVIEW SINCE '15 is wooken brakes , and now 5 years in they haven't changed it and it's so stupid! They KNOW that change would fix the issue . Hope they smarted up .
Best motorpickle videos on youtube!!!
I have a 2016 R1 and I use power mode B on the road. Tried to use power mode A at Donnington and just couldn't get on with it. I didn't have the finesse to manage the throttle on the slower corners. It was just too snatchy and I gave up quite quickly...

Burping a lot whilst riding is due to reflex action.
You should take up swimming, or rowing.
Hi guys, just wanted to say I was the guy who slipped in and out of JHS earlier on the blue SV, assumed you guys were busy doing important stuff so resisted the urge to shout hello and be all fan boy! Didn't want you thinking I was rude. Keep up the epic work 😎
Anyone know a good aftermarket header for this 2020 r1 that will fit a 3/4qtr s.c. project crt low mount to equal a full system?
nice work Sue
Why no riding the GYTR version? I thought that was the best part of the 2018 R1 review. It was helpful in judging the bikes capabilities as a dedicated race bike.
Perkins as always on point
can 44Teeth do any in depth testing footage of the YEC race parts for the r1 - r1m, like the race ecu and loom, camshafts and cam sprockets and the velocity stacks etc? I know that the 2020 bike can not be flashed yet so the option would be to fit the race ecu and loom but im wondering if it would be possible to keep the road legal stuff connected such as the lights and indicators etc.
It would also be nice to know what sort of power and power curve the bike would make after dropping a substantial amount of extra cash on race ecu, cams and velocity stacks. 🚀
Why on such a lush bike do they have cable ties holding on break lines? 19:33
Sorry if I missed it but how to the two different stock suspension compare to having it set up for the specific rider with aftermarket suspension parts?
Excellent video as always though gents, the best
I'm just really curious if they've fixed the problems with the R1's SNAPPING cranks?!
This channel should have a million plus followers.
What I got from this was, save your money and get last model. Put saved money towards exhaust and brakes.
Great noise for sure, better with Akra mid-pipe and end can! Most wouldn't keep OEM pipes anyway. New R1M is a fair jump in coin though, sheesh! Brembo.....how the hell is a 'premium' bike running electronic suspension and Ohlins kit not have decent stoppers FFS! Great video as always. Was nice to see my Mum make a cameo too!
Hit like before the first ad even finished playing and once again 44Teeth delivers the best content on the planet. As for the bike, there is a lot to love, it's a peach of an engine (even better with a system and tune no doubt) but WTF with the brakes Yamaha. For the price and given what the Euro competition offer it's simply become unacceptable. They've had years to sort it out and it just can't be excused.
Well, you can always pull the ABS-fuse, you need a key to get under the seat and a bit of fiddling to get the fuse out, is basically like a hidden button...
So you didn't get to play with the GYTR version at all ?
11:50 is that Zoe from PR ? 😂😂 also when did you get an rsv4 Chris ?!?
So Chris in your opinion is it worth getting the new 2020 R1 over say a left over 2018 or 2019 ??
I don't think thers any other bike reviewers better than you heck even comparable to you... And i mean it.. Mcn, motorcycle. Com, cycle world(worst), bike world... No one literally no one comes even close.
Hats off to you peeps keep making genuine reviews. ❤️
Have some concerns that we'll see similar issues in the US as we did with the BMW. Any news on how the emissions requirements will translate to states?
Neland Duncan it's such crap! When I bought my '15 new and my '17 MT10 new I had a cat delete pipe already shipped to my home. Both bikes lost a good 32 lbs of bull shit weight and restriction: amazing after simply decating and a tune. I'm reallllllly curious what the HP numbers will be in the 2020's after putting a full system on. Sounds like the HP gains are huge as opposed to '19's
Can somebody explain to me what’s the difference between the euro bikes and the bikes here in the U.S? More power/torque?
Top work again lads - cant stomach having to spend and extra couple of grand for a system on top of £22k, defo designed for track in mind
I thought your review was very involved with the new changes, riding feedback and overall content of camera work, better than MCN review!
"We'll put price on screen"
Haahaaaa, I see what you did there.
Would it be difficult to change calipers, MC and lines?
Still the most popular trackday bike, but fuck me £22k.
You’ve got to want one a lot...,
Hey Chris, how tall are you? I see you are a big guy. I am 194 cm and 100kg (6'4" and 220 lb) and i wanted to make a comparison you know, you said the r1 is small for you. I never got to ride one but i was thinking of getting one. Thanks!
11:51 when you hear the r1m is 27k US price
I can buy a 2019 Kawasaki zx10r for $12,000ish and invest 5 grand and shed be a monster and I'm sure would be able to keep up with the r1m.
@@kawilifezx10r23 not really. The zx is harder to go fast with, and harder to corner. Where i live there are soo many zx10s, and everyone who rode both the zx and the r1 said the r1 was easier to ride.
Rofl @ the lady that just walked past hahah!! And the 44 reaction lol
You get a free Yamaha jacket and backpack for showing up? Cool!
R1M GYTR is a feast for my eyes...
I wonder if they could get away with selling the bike with a second non restricted exhaust for "track use only" 😉 and a map switch to match
bit of a dumb question but cant you just unplug the wheel speed sensor or the abs pump to turn abs off if you really want to?
Or pull the fuse. Fuck the error codes; if the dealer asks, ask them why they sold you a bike that's throwing ABS errors, yikes.
Wait a second, did they use generic Yamaha branded key blanks for those? That's ... not the oem yamaha key?
After the part 1 ,I was looking forward to this breakdown review...😂😂😂that lady cracked me when she walked passed ..
Otherwise I love your reviews,I love the upcoming R1/R1M..
I would like to see a comparison between the R1M and Honda CBR1000RR-R SP.
Lovely machine!
Nice of Monkey Alan’s Mrs to make an appearance.....love 44T
!t Doesn't come with the exhaust com!ng out up under the rear seat
?¿?...
Thanks 4 this
I must know! What is the track @ 2:46? (not the race track)
Chris you own an RSV4 now? 👍👍👍👍. Hopefully it’s long term. Would love to see a video on your Ducati 916 on the baron channel!
Take note triumph this is how a sportsbike should look. Not a dated design, love it.
That TC screen looks like it came straight out of Windows 95. Sweet bike tho
Did you get a free jacket and bag?
From the front is confusing because it looks like the r6 until you look it from the behind in an angle
Are you going to paint your willy R1 Blue instead of Orc Green?
Anyone know what mirror block off plates those are?
I think you guys answered your own question wrt why so few R1's are sold now compared to the past, since right before that you were noting how expensive these bikes are now. Sport bike manufacturers have largely decided to go for the expensive niche of track riders with lots of disposable money, loading the bikes up with cutting edge tech and pricing themselves out of the much larger markets at lower price points. It wasn't long ago that a new CBR1000 could be had for less than ten grand. And re: R1 brakes, it must be intentional; they've heard complaints about crappy wooden brakes on the R1 for twenty years now.
I have not ridden this track. But does it seem like Chris is a little late getting on the gas? (no judgement, hes is for sure faster than me)
This bike needs a ecu flash sounds like.. that way you can change throttle settngs ..launch control.. ignition curve and anything else needing a retune
2:07 - That's really the only thing my Iron 883 is missing. Channeled ballbag air.
@ 1:00 the bike appears to have a cable clutch, yet there is a hydraulic clutch fluid reservoir. Anyone know what this is for?
remote brake adjuster i believe.
@@FortyFourTeeth actually, just realized it's probably for the thumb actuated rear brake master cylinder.
